I had to go down to the local post office bright and early to fetch my Baggie Of Cannabis. I guess they don't deliver after the first attempt. Or even actually leave a notice (read the forums; several people have read "Notice left" in their tracking but received no notice).

The bag: (wait for it...)
* yes, the ubiquitous Targus memory card case.

The c.r.a.p.s:
* "The Telephone LIPS." Identical to moving Lips Speakerphone. With included batteries removed.
(common item) I have 2 left over from a wootoff in Nov. or Dec. Only succeeded in giving 1 away.
* 3-pack of Black and Decker Pocket Power (common item). I had 4 of these from April 1.
Great stocking stuffers, I guess.
* One 60-count two-ply sheets roll of Brawny, Mary Engelbreit prints edition. Rare item indeed.
I have it on the best authority that Brawny Guy and Mr. Clean are life-partners just waiting for the
laws in their home state of Texas to change so they can get legally married.

And.... everybody includes them in the count, but they aren't c.r.a.p, precisely. They are to our BOCs like dingleberries are to real c.r.a.p. Just a necessary although unfortunate companion:
25 packages of lovingly sealed, gently wrapped Armadillo farts. Seriously, those things are in Texas like cockroaches are here in Florida.

not the Nokia N95 I was hoping for (I purchased an N800 last week) but well worth $8. I'd trade the lips speakerphone for a 4th birthday card, if somebody was in walking distance from me. Or all three of the B&D portable powers for one of those 23" TVs. :-)

btw, C.R.A.P. is an acronym for Crazy, Radical, Awesome Package. Dreamt up by a child of the '80s no doubt.

Today is a glorious day.

The crapeth have cometh.

The anticipation of what the Woot Gods would bestow upon me has had me check the Smartpost tracking site daily. Today, my fellow wooters, that status has changed to delivered.

I would like to share with you what the Blogging Old CEO shared with me.

x1 Targus memory bag
x1 porcelain hinged box, saxophone style
x3 Black & Decker power packs
and..
x1 boxed respiffed Sansa 2GB c150 mp3 player, with data cable and ear buds.

Very happy with my haul, Thanks Woot!

Well after a call to FedEx and the post office my box finally showed up this morning.

Like others I got the "This box was repackaged by the post office, because Woot must have run out of tape" So I figured I probably got jacked by someone during the shipping. I still may have but I ended up with a haul I was happy with.

36 bags of Texas Air (some full, some partially full) although I live in Texas and can just open my lungs and get all I want for free
1 Targus memory Card Carrier that my 3 year old confiscated and now calls it his wallet
2 Marvel Comics titles something like Red, White and Black

At this point we had pulled out the stuff in the above order and I was getting a little worried that I had been jacked until my wife pulled out

1 Samsung S1050 Digital Camera (refurbished but in working order once we replaced the included dead Duracells)- Especially good since my wife broke our old one a couple of weeks ago and we were in the market for a new one.

Thanks Woot and Happy Birthday!

I noticed that too.

I was tempted to contact Polaroid and say "Hey, just got one of these players, it was fairly well packaged but the lid is off and the hard drive is missing, as are all the IDE cables-- what can you guys do?"

But I didn't. ;)

Thanks Slaner. I tried that, but the Kodak AIO 5300 still prints blank pages only. The funny thing was the ink level keep going down.
Not sure how the warranty works because this is a refurbished item with no invoice. I decided to contact Kodak AIO printer support. This nice Indian support guy (I called pretty late) was great help and he is going to send me a new print head and ink. He never asked where I bought the printer from or requested for invoice or sales record. Apparently this problem is very common. If you have problem with the Kodak AIO 5300, do not hestiate to call the Kodak support.

Brace of Crows X3 arrived Monday, the day I left town on business. I had to threaten and cajole the family to not open it until I got home. Half the fun of Boingers on Crack is the anticipation.. Opened it Friday night under the watchful eyes of the family:

A Targus memory case (Thanks Woot!)
A Logitech Xbox headphone (Thanks, but worthless to me)
A Porcelain Eagle box (Woot memorabilia)
And, a broken Polaroid DVR! (Whoo Woot!)
Remote for the DVR w/dead batteries, two screws for the DVR and bags of noxious aether rounded out the package.

The DVR was missing the hard drive and both IDE cables. Cruising the web seemed to reveal that crashing hard drives were one of several problems these had. Maybe wootstaff pulled them to make these truly worthless. But, some of us want a challenge and coincidentally have extra computer parts laying around. Thanks to help from other postings, I installed an 80 gig hard drive and missing cables, hooked it up to an antenna cable and my 19" LCD pc monitor's DVI connector via the Polaroid's HDMI connector. Ta Daa! It received ATSC digital signals, and displayed them admirably on my monitor. I popped in a Men In Black DVD and watched in upconverted wide screen and saw detail I haven't seen before. Please don't inquire about other features, I unplugged it until I can find a permanent place to set it up.

Thanks Woot! even if this only works for a while (based on what I've read online) I'm having fun for my 8 bucks.

Agreed, Kodak is tops with customer service. I got a kodak AiO printer in Blogging Old CEO back awhile back and the disk had logitech quickcam drivers instead of kodak printer drivers (said kodak printer on the disk, but that's not what it had on it). I called, the lady I got (who spoke very clear english and appeared to be in the U.S. called on a saturday if I remember correctly) looked up the issue and found that it was a known problem, had me read off the serial number to make sure it wasnt a new batch with repeat problem, and sent me a replacement driver cd overnight via fedex. I had tried downloading it off of website but to no avail, download kept aborting in middle for some reason.

Here's what I got in my first 3 Bottles of Cognac:
1x XBOX wireless headset
1x Pop heads (retails 29c)
1x Polaroid DVD recorder + remote + A/V cable in a Walmart plastic bag (w/o HDD and broken ribbon cables. But after adding and replacing those parts, everything works! Was looking for something to transfer VHS to DVD anyway. Go woot!)
1x The famous memory card holder

I guess its worth the $8. Would love to have the HDD or a B&D pocket power if someone has too many...

my Blogging Old CEO:

1 - xbox wireless headset
1 - polaroid DVD recorder, minus the hard drive and cables (easily replaced) but also missing the remote (which stinks!!)
1 - bald eagle porcelain box
1 - memory card holder

Hope you had a happy Birthday Woot! Thanks for the carp!!

1 - Ubiquitous Memory card case
1 - PHB hinged box violin trinket
3 - B&D PocketPower rechargable power supply
1 - Logitech mm32 speaker system (like others, mine does not work)

Any fixes found for the mm32 speakers?

1 Packet of silica candy

Like everyone else so far, the DVR case is open and missing a hard drive. Mine did not have any screws or an IDE cable, and one of the IDE connectors is broken, but should still work.

It might be pretty nice if it works. I'll give it to my mom so she can record her soaps on it. She's still recording them on VHS tapes.

I was really hoping to get one of the Nokia phones though.

For $8 it's like being a kid at Christmas all over again. The anticipation, the hopes of getting something good, and when the day finally comes you tear open your presents and the disappointment of find out all you got was socks and underwear.

Well if you want to share one of those remotes with someone who got the dvr/dvd recorder with 0 remotes, please let me know!!!

sounds like youre battery simply wont hold a charge and needs to be replaced (the battery in the spotlight, not your personal battery, though with that post one might wonder about that as well)

Contact the mfg and submit a warranty claim.

Someties I've gotten useless carp that I cant use, dont need, one time I got a really nice kodak AiO printer that works great. It's all in the luck of the draw. And I'm sure woot didnt know that the spotlight was bad. Just like the time I bought a bluetooth headset that was old stock and the battery wouldnt hold a charge. It was new in box, but was essentially worthless. And, the mfg. didnt want to honor the warranty. Guess what? Woot did a full refund (of course, I had to pay return shipping, that's part of the TOS).

Dude. You're taking this entirely too seriously. It's Random Craap. It's a DOLLAR. If it's somewhat less than random (which I doubt) and they occasionally pay attention to who-wants-what (also doubtful), who cares? They're sending loyal customers what they want? OHMYGOD THEY'RE EVIL!! C'mon - you really have your knickers in a twist about this?

Where's the sham? How in the hell does it benefit Woot (essential if this sham thing is gonna fly) to send that guy 13 televisions? Or that other guy golf clubs? They've conspired against us by FORCING us to pay them a dollar so they can... what?... box and mail stuff instead of paying for trash pickup? And they've shammed us by... what again? Telling us we're buying carp and then sending us almost exactly that? I don't quite get where I'm being conned...

I don't know why people don't get this. It's random carp. It's fun. Sometimes it's really great carp (n95s, Q1s, guitars), but mostly it's carp. The fun is in the anticipation and the game of it.

Criminy, if you MUST have sand in your vajayjay, then pick a real issue and get mad about stupidpost's nonexistent sense of direction. That I can get behind.

But ya know - if you're convinced about this scam thing, then it's easy for you. Don't play. More carp for us.

They should already know that i had one of these cause my mom bought one from them and had it shipped to my address for her grandson. What am I supposed to do with 4 of these 10" LCD TVs? What a complete SHAM. Or the new iRobot roomba they sent me for my last Big Oversied Clydesdale, SHAM dont they know that if I needed one I would have bought one? You ordered 5 days before the Blogging Old CEO went on sale? Neat trick, tell me how!

maybe he's referring to the June 20th batch of BOCs? That'd be my guess, but no idea if that's the case or not.

uberhitzung wrote:well, thanks for the proof. Thats all i needed to verify that this whole thing is a COMPLETE SHAM

They ship a palette of broken LCD's to a guy who WORKS AT A PLACE THAT REPAIRS THEM?????

HOW THE F**K DO THEY KNOW WHAT YOU DO FOR A LIVING????

F***ING SHAM!

I "was" going to get on here and say I was satisfied with my score. I opened my spotlight, and even though it "looked like metal" it was CHEAP PLASTIC. IT was UNOPENED in the retail box and DOES NOT WORK AT ALL.

Thats SAD when a company gets things UNOPENED and they know its already broke. more SHAMMerry

oh, and the guy who always wanted golf clubs getting clubs, and the guy saying "oh i needed to copy sh** and he gets a copier"

well i needed things, SHAM.

Yeah, I was the guy that said I needed to copy some documents and I got a Canon Personal copier. Thought it was kinda cool. In my previous other random craps I didn't actually get anything too useful. I'm not sure what you're trying to get at, but with more than 2000 people getting random items, I'm sure that there were at least a few of us who got something we needed or wanted.

Why the hate?

I'm not one to put up with the complaining about the BOCs by at the same time, I've now ordered 6 total BOCs and have received 5 total products...

That includes a memory card holder and a balloon.

I mean, I would just like to actually get 6 products when I order 6 products, regardless of whether they're a dollar!!!

Oh well, Happy Birthday WOOT!, I'm not sure I'm going to get you anything though...

I got mine:
1x Black & Decker battery pack/inverter (USB or AC)
1x Birthday Candle (Happy 4th B'day Woot!)
1x Memorex memory card holder
1x Mainstage Soundstage surround sound speaker

I'm sure I will use the battery power some day, but the speaker rocks!

pooflady wrote:Did anyone that got the sandisk mp3 players have a problem with them? I gave mine to a grandson, but evidently the screen doesn't work. I feel bad. Wish I could have checked it first. Unfortunately, I have no clue as to how to even turn one on.

Try searching through earlier posts on this problem, I think someone had a solution posted about the time the bags started arriving.
