It appears as if you can plug in and power car accessories inside the house with this thing. Retails new for $25 smackers on Amazon, I'll hold onto that. I want the carp I got, I want the carp I got, I want the carp I got....

I got my B O C yesterday and opened it on Woottv... Anyways when I opened the box, I saw 3 paper bags with yellow question marks on them, then I saw a 12 ft flag banner with "Happy Birthday" on it, and then I saw the Targus memory card case. After removing those, there was a big white box, no marking to the outside, to get it out I flipped over the Woot box... To my surprise I see a respiffied Roomba staring back at me! I looked over the box and it appeared to be factory sealed, I open everything and low and behold I have everything for a working Roomba! To make this an even better experience, this was my very first B O C!

P.S. If you were wondering, I was in for 3 BOCs

OHHHHH ok!! that's cool! But I got an inverter for things in the house so you can use it in the car so I don't have anything that plugs into the car! ha ha!! If anyone wants to buy or trade, you can pm me!!

Has anyone else had problems with the handset for the Oregon Sci weather phone, my handset doesn't come on at all and the battery wont take on a full charge. I sent a note to Oreg. Sci. but dont know if they will respond to a woot item on a discontinued product.
Any ideas?

sounds like you probably need to put in a new battery. I got same phone, havent tried mine yet.

for those that got the xbox headset, someone posted a link a few pages back for how to turn it into a USB headset. And @ whoever it was that posted that link, thank you! Got extra usb cables (thanks to woot) and a soldering iron. Seems like a better idea than ebay (since will probably be lots of these appear on there after this round of BOCs). and I can always use a spare headset for puter.

Like everyone else so far, the DVR case is open and missing a hard drive. Mine did not have any screws or an IDE cable, and one of the IDE connectors is broken, but should still work.



It might be pretty nice if it works. I'll give it to my mom so she can record her soaps on it. She's still recording them on VHS tapes.

I was really hoping to get one of the Nokia phones though.

For $8 it's like being a kid at Christmas all over again. The anticipation, the hopes of getting something good, and when the day finally comes you tear open your presents and the disappointment of find out all you got was socks and underwear.

I got that phone and it works like a champ! The only problem I'm having with mine is the indoor temp. It's always displaying the indoor temp about 8-10 degrees too warm. The outdoor temp works great though which is all that really matters to me.

I am a bit confused about the "forecast" feature. Is it a forecast or does it just display the current conditions outside?

I live about 4 hours from the Woot offices and it appears my package has been stuck about 10 minutes from my house for 5 days. Estimated delivery was yesterday and still nothing today. I'm getting a little concerned.

Mine just came in. It is not worth the picture since most people know what it looks like:

1 Targus Memory Case card (my new SD mini's now have a proper home)
1 Vector imobile slim power inverter.

Yes, I was only able to depress the "I want One" button.

The funny thing is that about 2 weeks ago, I took the laptop for a ride and let the kids watch a movie on it so I could see how long the battery would actually last. Well, 3/4 through the movie, it was over, to which I said: "someone remind me to find an adaptor for the laptop when we get home, so we don't use up the battery".

Even though I only ordered one thing, what came was extremely useful and well worth the $6.00.

I checked the price and a new model is coming up (the only difference is the case) and it is priced anywhere from $25.00 to 50 something bucks.

Well worth it.

I know how you feel....I live in RI and mine was in MA for a day or two....now it's in frickin' PA!!!

That's exactly how my IDE connectors looked-- the plastic is really just there to help things stay in place, as long as the cable plugs in, it should be fine.

Thanks for the ideas for mounting the HD... I'll have to look into Tyvek tape. I still think I may have some old HD mounting brackets laying around somewhere that I might be able to hack into some sort of bracket.

Since I know mine "works", at least in theory (I had it running for about an hour before I took it back apart-- since I couldn't secure the HD I didn't want to leave it out), it's given me plenty of motivation... I'll be spending the weekend refubishing the unit. (and probably better than Polaroid would've!)

The bluetooth is on though because a blue light starts blinking when I turn it on. I have no experience with bluetooth before.

My niece was here when I opened the box, so she got the puzzle and I forgot to get it for the photos. It was shrink wrapped.

Just received my Blogging Old CEO. It came in a damaged box with USPS tape all over it (says received in damaged condition, rewrapped by U.S. Postal Service) and contained two items when I ordered 3 (I contacted Woot so hopefully they can make this right). It also had stickers on it that say things like offline location GG3. I received the B&D battery packs and the memory card case but I'm thinking the fact that this tape covers openings in the box means that my 3rd thing (or more?) might have been good but that I'll never get it cause somehow it "slipped out". Also, smartpost still has my item in WV but somehow it skipped all official channels of tracking and showed up on my door today - ? Anybody else ever have this problem? I know this is not Woots fault but I hope they can make this right and figure out what happened to my item(s).
