Because when you are lost in a dark unfamiliar place, you want the security and reliability of Microsoft by your side.

I bought this during a previous Wootoff and I think it's great. The GPS is tiny and accurate to within a few yards. The software has web updates available and the routing and planning features are cool. Turns your laptop into a garmin.

I bought this the last time it was on woot. It's carp. Seriously, half the time the GPS receiver can't see the sats, and the software's UI is god-awful. It's like the map software was designed to work like google maps or something, and then the GPS functionality was tacked on with scotch tape and chewing gum.

Drats! Foiled again, I tried buying one of these last time, and I submitted my order and it never showed up in my account!

FOILED!!!!

And now i try again and it is sold out, it must be a sign.

BAH! I purchased the 2006 version yesterday! What a bummer. That being my first ever woot, thats not a good sign. Oh well. Hopefully the damn thing works fine.
