It can take up to a MONTH or more to get your items. That is if they are not
lost, stolen or stuck in a sorting station forever, which seems to happen to a great deal of them.

You are just starting your waiting time dude.

With the amount of lost/stolen items woot has had to replace in the past few
months (micro sd cards, thumb drives ext) and then the added money to pay to
have those items re-shipped to people, you would think that woot would give up
on smartpost, as each time they do this, they lose money.

But, despite the complaints, the lost/stolen items, the items stuck in sorting
stations, items that just vanish into thin air, items that never ship initially, and
the money that woot puts out in replacements, smartpost still costs woot less
to use as their shipping method on small items than any other method.

And thats why they will keep using it, despite loosing customers because of it.

Product packaging was bubble mailer. Contained full order of memory card units. Cards functional. Lack of individual packaging was a bummer, but understandable since they were probably bulk.

Finally got my 3 yesterday and am trying to use it with my digital camera. When I insert the micro w/adapter, I get an error message, and it says the card is locked. When I flip the little unlabeled lock switch on the adapter and reinsert, I still get the same message.

Anybody having this same problem, and and anyone know how to fix it?

got mine yesterday, the micro card works by itself until i put it in the adapter or any other sd adapter. Anybody else having this problem?

You have to file a claim with your credit card company to get your money
back if woot will not help you with a defective product.

Be aware that it can take up to 3 months once you file the claim with your
cc company to get your money back. But its worth it if woot will not help you
get a card that works, which is what you paid for.

Do not take this lying down. Make copies of every e-mail you send, every one
you recieve, and the names/times/dates of any correspondence you have. Your
cc company will need this to process your claim faster.

Good luck. You paid for a working item, and if the seller of the item does nothing
to help you get a new, replacement item that does work, and refuses to give you
a refund, you always have ways to get your money back if you used a credit card
for the purchase.

Had a Halloween scheduled delivery a few days ago, now it's gone. If it's in NY now..who knows?

I just got a new tracking number! Of course, it tells me that the cards were delivered yesterday, which I knew they were because I got 'em.

Yeah looks like they finally e-mailed out the correct tracking numbers. Sheesh. Although I e-mailed them a few days ago and got mine. Delivery expected today.

Can anyone help, when I put the card in the adapter, computer doesn't recognize that there is a card iserted

If your tracking link only shows the ship date (no other tracking lines) you should email service@woot.com, and they will send you a working link,

Mine says it will arrive on saturday, which im guessing means it wont get here till monday

Well, mine left Carrollton TX on the 22nd. Took 2 days to get through Dallas's sortation center, and now it's been sitting in the WV sortation center for 5 days. Five days, woot? Are you serious? I could drive to WV to pick it up in less than an hour, and it takes five days for them to get it from one end of the building to the other?!

Really freaking disappointed so far. If the cards don't work when I get them, I'm gonna be seriously upset.

eta: My tracking page is exactly the same as keszler's. They must be on the same truck or something.

This is the slowest shipments that I have seen. Got both the Bluetooth headsets and the microSD cards today.

Does your card reader read SDHC cards? Some older card readers will not read them.

Thank you I doubt it since the phone can read the card but the computer cant read the adapter, I will have to buy a new card reader

It is NOT the card reader but the card itself.

I'm telling you all you guys that are waiting, you will receive the product, either find it a dud, or it will work, just not with the card reader or you will not care and just use it w/out the card reader. Most will send it back like I am doing.

Never buying this carp from woot....should've paid $20 at walmart, atleast I know it would have worked!

I have one computer it will not read in, but it will read in another computer and my Canon SX100IS.

I got mine in yesterday (the 29th)
I gotta say I'm pretty happy with it. The SD-expander thing (to let me put it in a normal SD slot) is really cheap. You can tell the label was cheaply printed, and there appears to be some writing underneath.

They formatted to (I think) 3.72 Gigabytes, and they work well. I'm sure they're not blazing fast, but as long as I can play songs from them (on a future PMP) I'll be happy. 12+ GB of music will last a long time.

For now, I wonder if it's possible for the BIOS to boot from the card-reader...

EDIT: Oh, and if it doesn't work with your stuff, your stuff probably doesn't support SDHC yet. Look for driver updates. Mine didn't work right off, but I installed a driver, and now it's great.

I hope you dont' return them (saying how terrible woot is) only to find out that your gear doesn't support SDHC.

For example, the sansas don't support SDHC, unless you have rockbox (although I suspect this has been fixed in a firmware update, or will be soon) that's why the 2 GB versions work well, even if this doesn't (yet).

Finally, Don't try shoving this in an M2 slot, and remember: sony products don't use SD cards. It won't fit in an ericsson phone. You should know these things before buying. You had a whole day to research and decide.

Got my 2 in yesterday. Neither worked in my years-old desktop, but that was to be expected. However, both work great in my new Aspire One netbook. Tried both at the same time (the AAO has two SD slots) and ran into zero problems. Smartpost still vacuums though, as they were in a smallish bubble mailer that would've been fine with a handful of stamps slapped on it. USPS would've gotten here faster, but at least they made it and are functioning.

So I was able to format the card in my computer fine, but my enV2 will not recognize the card ... does this mean it is a dud?

BOOO to woot for using male SmartPost!!! My card was in my darn city then for some reason they sent it to L.A.?!?!?!?! I should've had it the next day!

So I received these memory cards in the mail (three of them, actually, see http://www.woot.com/Forums/ViewPost.aspx?PostID=2649925), and they all appear "dead." When I insert the card into a device (I've tried two different ones) that device doesn't even recognize something's there. Is there something I'm missing, or did I get a bad batch?

I'm still waiting on this delivery (which has been "enroute" since 10/27). Based on this experience, I won't buy any more items that ship smartpost. I'd hate to think that means I have to stop wooting.

Got mine today, I put the little chip in the adapter and into my Dell Laptop (built in SD Reader) Both are recognized as 4 GB. They seem to be formated at F32. I haven't tried it in my camera or MP3 yet though.

My original tracking number showed no movement as of the 20th. Today I received a new tracking number at 12:32PM, and received the package in the mail at 4:02PM.

I have the same problem as a lot of other Wooters have, I get a "card locked" message from my Canon A540 camera, and an I/O device error from the card slot on my E-machines computer. I have to wait for my wife to get home to see if they will work in her Palm. Or check with my daughter and see if they will work in her newer Canon.

I may have to buy a new card reader to use them at all. A good buy if you have a device that can use them.

Caveat emptor - research before buying!

My 3 showed up.

They all worked fine.

Some things wouldn't read them as they don't handle SDHC.

These cards are SDHC, by the way.

just got mine yesterday, my comp recognizes it and i can put stuff on, but my LG KE-770 doesnt recognize it, it says that there is no card inserted.

Just checked your phone's specs. That LG isn't compatible with SDHC, so it wouldn't recognize it.

Please check your gadgets first, everyone. These are SDHC (High Capacity), and your equipment MUST specifically say that it will accept SDHC.

Mine works in my ENV2... You have to format the card with the phone. It took forever to format it, but it works. I can't put it in my computer cause it won't recognize SDHC. I have to buy a new reader. I can take pictures with my phone and store it on the card just fine...
