Reading through this message board, it really seems like you got the 1 carp package. You might want to send a (non-whiny) email to Woot. I have read of people getting additional carp in the past by doing this.

I've been wooting for more than a year now, and this was the first time I've ever gotten a bag.

It looked like I couldn't hit "I want three" so I wasn't going to chance it!! I got one, and I'm VERY happy with my first experience. I too had to go to the post office and pick it up... the anticipation was killing me!

(4) SanDisk Sansa MP3 Players... one is set to "Hebrew" so I'm having trouble changing the menus... and the other must have been owned by a 12 year old girl, because it's loaded with Mily Cirus, etc. I didn't get anything included with the players, just the drives themselves. No charging cords or adapters.
(1) Oreck XL Table Top Air Purifier.... Manual.
(1) Living waters DVD Scenescapes (Case only... No DVD)
(1) Martinho Da Vila - Show Ao Vivo DVD. (it's some concert in Spanish... the dvd looked like it had been run over by a forklift.
(1) "Made in China" flathead screwdriver
(1) NVidia Computer Video Card... Looks badly used
(1) True Blue - Bluetooth headset
(1) I Gadget - pocket soduku game
(1) Franklin pocket dictionary / mp3 player
(1) Fillet Glove... I think
(1) Package - Butterfly keychain holders?
(1) Actual "Bag"
(1) Jabra Noise Canceling headphones (forgot to picture them, they're already on my assistant's desk)
(1) (MY FAVORITE ITEM!!) - Bluetooth car speaker... that's SOLAR POWERED! It's awesome.

This box made all my wooting worth it..

THANK YOU WOOT!

I was waiting for the woot guys to answer me on this but so far nothing since Friday. I received 5 Sansas w/my random carp. The e270 charged fine, the c250 charged fine - then all three e250s blew up on me (i.e. plugged them into a sansa charger and 1 by 1 each let out a puff of smoke and emitted an acrid smell). Has anybody else experienced this with their e250s? This is not in the line of - I got random carp, it doesn't work and I'm upset. It's more of - this could potentially be dangerous if a lot of the e250s refurbs do this.

My carp arrived today. I was unable to "get 3", and didn't bother email-upgrading my order. Turns out the Woot Gods punished me for this with the following pitiful contents:
1 x Texas Sigh-of-Relief in a bag
1 x Vehicle Security Back Up Alarm (by Audiovox)
1 x Pink Butterfly Dog ID Tag (not to be confused with the Luggage Tags others may have gotten)

I wasn't able to buy 3, so I only got:
1 - JVC camera bag
1 - Go Duster
I have to admit, the Go Duster does make dusting fun!

My first carp purchase for 3:

(4) 2wire USB modem things
(3) butterfly luggage tags
(1) Fairy RC helicopter (box seems open & copter is broken)
(1) Black & Decker Pocket Power USB battery
(1) JVC camcorder case

Not too bad, but hoping for something a little more useful next time. Still, no complaints!

1 carp ordered, I emailed for an upgrade but they ignored me for some reason, no weight provided, 1 mossimo bag and a duster, no Texas air.

I'm a little disappointed in a non-whiney way. I know carp is carp, but you always hope for the best.

I'll try again next time. ;)

Thank you, oh Woot Gods! This was my 2nd Bandolier of Carrots, and the Woot Gods smiled upon me (sorry, no photo, SlowPost said 9.4 lbs., ordered 3):

  • 1 JVC camcorder bag
  • 1 no-name 12-pc. screwdriver set
  • 2 no-name bluetooth over-the-ear headsets with 2 chargers
  • 2 Targus wireless mice with 3 usb receivers, 2 sets of AAA batteries
  • 6 Targus zippered memory card cases
  • 1 Tornado spray jet wash gun
  • 6 PC Port usb-to-telephone jack thingies
  • 4 refurbished SanDisk Sansa m240 (1 GB) mp3 players
  • 1 refurbished SanDisk Sansa m250 (2 GB) mp3 player
  • 1 refurbished SanDisk Sansa c240 (1 GB) mp3/video/photo player, display doesn't work
  • 4 refurbished SanDisk Sansa c250 (2 GB) mp3/video/photo players
  • 3 refurbished SanDisk Sansa e250 (2 GB) mp3/video/photo players, 1 doesn't power on
  • 1 refurbished SanDisk Sansa e280 (8 GB) mp3/video/photo player
  • 4 Sansa usb-to-Sansa power cords
  • 3 usb-to-mini-usb cables
  • 9 black Sansa-branded ear buds
  • 3 white SanDisk-branded ear buds
  • 1 SanDisk-branded elastic/velcro strap
  • 1 L'Occitane En Provence product card for some travel kit from Delta Air Lines (no travel kit though, and no odor)
  • 23 bags of Texas air, 2 of which probably escaped at one of the several Sortation Centers along the way

The Woot Gods are truly all-knowing since they provided 14 Sansa's (two had issues) and 12 ear buds. I am humbled.

No reason to post a photo, we've seen it all.

I have been anxiously awaiting my first Braille on Cookies I was unable to get three but am happy that I got 1. The excitement has been building everyday as I rush home and find... nothing waiting for me... Today while I was tracking my package I see that it was MIS-SHIPPED... But only 2 towns away! I called the USPS to see if I could make arrangements to drive the 2 towns over to get it and they informed me that NO I cannot (they can only hold a package after trying to deliver it) instead she told me to expect it in the next 2-9 days. Alas I must spend another 2-9 sleepless nights wondering what the woot gods have provided me with.

1 - Netgear WPN111 Wireless Adapter ($62 on Amazon. Schweet!) Not sure yet if I have a use for this. Serial number "scratched out" with a Sharpie.

1 - BT-407 Bluetooth Headset . If it works with my Blackberry, I will be a happy camper. $11.99 for a two-pack on Woot in March.

1 - KidSmart Vocal Smoke Detector. Will go to my sister (she's the one with the kid). Doesn't appear to have any Woot messages on it.

1 - JVC Camcorder Bag. Can never have enough bags.

3 - Sansa cables. Would be willing to part with 2 if anyone needs one.

5 - Sansa earbuds. A.k.a. Cat toys. Will go to trash since I don't like earbuds.

6 - PC Ports To keep the earbuds company in the trash.

And lastly...

One Palm Treo 600 with dock/charger, cables, headset, manuals, carrying case and software!!. Looks new, still has the screen protector on it, came on when I stuck it in the charger! Has yellow stickie with "Restock" on the box.

Since I'm a happy Blackberry/T-Mobile user, I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with the Palm, but it's pretty freakin' cool!! Maybe another sister's Xmas present...

Best Big Ol' Cat yet. Thanks for brightening my day, Woot!

Since it is my birthday tomorrow, I was hoping for some Woot coolness to brighten my day. Alas, I, too, was punished for their broken "3" button. I got one of those silly Go dusters thingies and a little package of some type of bath salts. I figured that I didn't want to seem greedy and ask for an upgrade to 3. So I just let is slide and figured that they wouldn't punish us too badly. Note to self for next time: always ask for the 3x upgrade. Although I don't really "want the carp that I got", I won't be unhappy and just hope for better next time. :-)

Well this post is a little belated, but I've been busy (both playing with my carp, and doing a few non-woot related things too). Anywho, I'm flabbergasted to say the least... my best Bandolier of Carrots haul ever included:
- a bunch of bags of air (which I refuse to count... suffice it to say there was plenty)
- the same jvc camera bag that most of you got
- one of the marshmallow shirts with the size part of the tag cut off... but it appears to be a small and appears new
- a lighted usb cable (orange)
- a myspkr (portable speaker thing)
- 4 of those (useless?) phone-to-pc port whatsamajobs
- a set of earbuds which came in handy
- a couple of sansa software CDs
- a cheap (yet new) 22-piece power driver set... which came in handy working on the sansas
- 1 512meg respiffied'd sansa m200
- a total of 13(!) refurbed sansas in varying conditions (5 x 2gig, 2 x 4gig, 6 x 8gig) -- some appear to work, some had cracked screens, a few were hosed and required new firmware, and a few more are bricked temporarily until I have a minute to fix them

All in all, a great haul, and the 15 coworkers that gathered around for the unboxing ceremony were extremely jealous. Now I've just got to round up some cables for the sansas (I had to borrow one just to test). Anyone wanna trade? I'd be willing to part with the shirt, lighted usb cable, bag, pc port thingies, etc.

Thanks woot for a blast as always.

100Grand wrote:My first Bunnies of Charm (and first Woot too!) arrived Wednesday.

The "I want 3" button wasn't happening for me either, but my e-mailed plea for 2 extra charms was successful.

Here's the box. No Woot logo, but not a recycled grocery box either — looks new. Weighed in at just over 8 lbs of wooty wholesomeness. Size is 19x13x12"...

.
(click thumbnails for larger images)

  • 1 - Chain of 15 "not to be used for floatation" bags (psst... it's not really Texas air — it crossed over the border illegally from Oklahoma)
  • 1 - Qtronix Orion 90v Pro joystick (circa 1997)
  • 1 - Tornado spray jet wash gun "w/ Six Spray Patterns"!
  • 1 - Designer Vision 1GB MP3 player / voice recorder / USB drive, with dead AAA battery and nearly 200MB of songs!
  • 1 - Sansa earbuds (new)
  • 1 - Mystery SanDisk USB cable (new)
  • 8 - Targus memory card cases (new, of course)
  • 1 - JVC camcorder bag ("NIP")

The MP3 player package had been opened and scotch-taped shut. Still had the protective sticker over the display, so may not have been used much. Included driver mini-CD and USB cable, but no earphones and no user guide. The company's web site (in the UK) is dead, so updates/support are unlikely. Here's the Woot page for this item from March. The one Woot sent me is black.

The 53 songs (plus 2 more Chinese music "demo" songs from the mfg) was probably the best part. However, I think the player has some limitations on levels of subdirectories that I need to unravel, because it doesn't "see" most of the song files. My PC can play them all when it's plugged into the USB port.

So which SanDisk device(s) does this plug fit?

I was stuck on using the tracking link from Woot's e-mail and hadn't thought of plugging the number in at FedEx.com until I saw someone's comment here. FedEx shows the weight as 6.3 lbs (almost 2 lbs lower than actual). That would have been the weight without the MP3 player and jet wash, so I'm guessing those were the extra charms.

Overall I'm happy. Looking forward to the next Woot-Off.

looks like a 200 series charger.

So I got the bath salt and the go-duster.

I guess that's why they got Bandolier of Carrots'd!

My carp really was carp. It wasn't worth the $6 I paid for it, and I'm so glad I wasn't able to buy more. I would've wasted even more money!!

We not a tiny box - not even big enough to fit Texas air. I got an open camera case that was scratched and an open thing of soaps/lotions that had been used. This was horrible. I'm not sure if I'll be trying for one next time.

They are for networking your PCs using your phone lines. You have to get the driver for it from 2wire ... http://www.2wire.com/pages/drvrs/twusb1405.exe

Install the drivers, plug in the USB to your PC and the phone line to your phone jack. There are indicator lights on the device showing power and traffic.

Once Windows sees it as a network adapter, you just have to setup your network using them. Windows told me that they had very low connectivity and had a maximum bandwidth of 10mbs. Not too bad of a device.

If I had a dollar for every Barrel of Crops I bought, I could buy a value meal at McDonald's!

Okay, I got:
- 21 bags of texas air, 5 deflated
- The Camcorder Bag
- Those PC USB Phone Port things (6)
- KidSmart Vocal Smoke Detector
(http://www.pacificgeek.com/product.asp?c=286&s=1293&ID=35766&P=F)
- Strait-Line Rolling Tape Measure 300 ft (http://www.fruitridgetools.com/storefrontprofiles/processfeed.aspx?sfid=136763&i=139483056&mpid=8171&dfid=1)

I have no kids and probably won't have kids for another 7 or 8 years (I'd like to get married first). So I have absolutely no use for this smoke detector. Will trade for (almost) anything that works (ref. sansa mp3 player??). Message me and give me an offer.

Will also trade the rolling tape measure thing for something that I feel is more useful to me. Otherwise it's going to my dad.

Thanks!
