For those who may only want one and don't mind the long shipping, keep reading.

Found these overseas for $10.95 shipped free at the URL below:

http://www.pandawill.com/ecommerce/control/category/~category_id=H1

Use this code 15450...and you will also get 5% off your first purchase.

Could take a while to get it, but the company seems okay...newer online presence, but okay. They sell on ioffer.com as well and you can use Paypal for better security at both sites.

Enjoy ;-)...Otherwise, pretty good deal Woot ;-) But I only want one...

Less time shouting. More time researching.

The product's website says:
Integrated Microphone

An Amazon review says:
the fact that it has a built in microphone means no additional external mic is required

Another says:
Voice quality is excellent

-----------------------------------------
$10.95 US dollars - 5% = $10.55 US dollars with free shipping via FedEx.

There are limited reviews/feedback on ioffer.com too, but like I said, they are newer.

I just ordered a black one and paid via Paypal. Everything seemed legit. Even Paypal went fine.

If I'm out $10.55 then so be it. But they don't have my credit card number and I think it'll be fine from what I researched. Guess I'd rather keep the cam I have and be out the $10.55 than pay $40 for only one that I want and one to sit in the corner or have to sell. I don't know anyone who would want it for Xmas.

Good luck...just trying to help...

Wooo-hoooo! My first WOOT! I travel quite a bit & will be heading to China for a couple weeks here pretty soon. I'm hoping these cams allow me to keep in touch with my wife/daughters. I chose the Ferrari-esque red cams; although my wife would have preferred the pink or green! Woot-Woot!!

try READING before you post next time. it's been covered at least 4 times on this thread already AND if you had bothered to check their site (link posted in this thread as well) you would know that it DOES have a mic. It's a noise reducing mic at that.

EDIT: In for a two pack!

woot-checker: http://woot.dswebhost.net - New item sound, picture, AJAX, mobile compatible
or check out the Text-only version - same features, no picture
or maybe you want a software app (DSWoot 1.0) to keep track of the woot-off.

First there are older macs that did not come with cameras. but even in current production models, the Mac Pro and the Mac Mini do not come with cameras.

Let's just that I'd be highly suspicious of them.

They are supposedly selling 8GB iPod Nanos for $40 shipped, when they're $150 everywhere else. There's also practically no information about them available, aside from a couple user reviews that could easily be planted. I wouldn't buy from an online store based in China unless they've been around for a while and have a lot of positive reviews.

gantt wrote:Can anybody else verify if their Kmart has these for $19.99.
Don't need two.

I've never seen these at Kmart, and if they did have them, I really doubt they would be sold for significantly less than everywhere else is selling them for. I think the guy who claimed he could get them for less at Kmart was just making that up.

I really don't think you'll find these anywhere else for less than what Woot is offering them for today.

Yes, but it is strongly recommended you learn sign language before doing so.

Seriously, the inclusion of a microphone has been covered in nearly every other post in this thread.

I was all set to purchase until I read this comment. Went to the website and experienced the same thing. Now I wonder what product support would be like. The fact you can't download driver updates worries me. Strange considering the main review I read said product support was excellent.

This is NOT HD. HD is 640x480 @ 60fps, 1280x720 @ 60fps, or1920x1080 at 60fps (or 60 interlaced fps). The framerate is part of the HD standard. Just because it can record 1280x768 does not mean that it is HD. 15 fps is a joke. Don't get duped by a false product name.

I would be interested in seeing if this site actually is legit. I recently ordered a couple of items from Chinese merchants on Ebay. Shipping was about $7.00 and the items arrived safety in about 7 days from China using their postal ground shipping. However, this site provides free shipping for Fedex which costs at least as much as the product. So...... I'm skeptical.

OK, so I'm taking the hit for you on pandawill.com. I just ordered three of these from pandawill.com (2 greens and 1 red). The discount code knocked the purchase down to $31.21 with free Ground Fedex. I paid with PayPal. I'll let you know when I receive these (or when they disintegrate in my hands). Should I post the update here or somewhere else?

Are you sure on that? As far as I can tell, the frame rate is a separate spec. Besides, cinema frame rate is 24fps. In PAL countries, it's shown as 25fps. In NTSC countries, 3:2 pulldown is used to convert it to 30fps. 720p is an HDTV spec yet can be at 24, 25, 30, 50, or 60 fps.

15fps is certainly low, but I don't believe as of yet the frame rate is specifically a requirement of HDTV specs. Either that or almost none of us are really watching true HDTV.

Not compatible with iChat unless you download the shareware "iChatUSBCam" ($20). Apparently it does work with Skype without the extra software.
