Just so you know...when you get to the buy page, if you get there, you need to click "buy three" or he may not forgive you...unless, of course, by the time you get there, only one is left.

In the box:

Plenio VXA-3000 GPS Unit
Remote Controller
SD Card Memory
Aux Cable (AV in terminal)
Test Jack
Cigar Jack 12V Power cable
Stereo Output Cable
Hand Brake Connection Cable <== PAAAaaaAAaaaanCAAAAAKES!?!?!?!?!
Suction Cup Mount
DVD-ROM

If you're going to fast, this unit rips up on your hand brake to slow you down.

I fix computers remotely! I am the PCFixerGuy. I buy far too many woots. *hint hint*

Comes with hand brake connection cable, so you can only display video when the hand brake is engaged

Having to stop and apply the handbrake would make it kinda hard to use as a turn-by-turn GPS navigator. Unless they're talking about display of EXTERNAL video, which would then make it kinda hard to use as a DVD display screen for your backseat kid on those long road trips.

peterfnet wrote:That SiRFstarr III Chipset is amazing. Uses normal GPS, Aviation GPS, and cell towers for fixes. Works in tunnels! I recently upgraded to a USB module that boasts this chipset in my car. Works great!

Ummm.... no....

Yes, the SiRFStar III is considered the gold standard in terms of lock and performance, it does not use cell towers, nor is it likely to work in a tunnel, most units just have software to correct for short disconnects and you dont realise that while you were in the tunnel you didnt have reception. As for Aviation GPS, i am also going to say no on that one, Avaition systems use GPS and ground based systems to adjust for jitter introduced in the atmosphere. Although this unit likely is WAAS enabled, i wouldnt call that Avation GPS

Wow with a screen that big I would need a bigger car. I have a 4" tom tom that is big enough for my small car. But I will tell you that for the price this is a good deal even if it does not work as well as the Tom Tom. What did we ever do without GPS when traveling.

Oh yah I would always get lost.
