There is no "list" as to weather you get a bag 'o carp or not. It is purely by luck/fast internet/cheater progs. It's taken me many tries and alot of patience and NO REFRESHING(it doesn't work)! Finally scored mine last night. They'll come up again be patient. Until then Merry Christmas everyone!!

PS: Don't knock the Bacon Salt, that stuff is tasty!

A word of advice - go for the craap because it's fun to try. If you do it with the aim of getting something nifty and expensive - you'll be disappointed.

First F5 to refresh, click buy, enter CC security digits, then press BUY again like this guy below in 0.860s suggests there is more to a Brick of Carbon than Woot actually lets on.

Either way it takes at least 1 second to read what the item is after refreshing.

I don't know how it works or why it sometimes doesn't. I've managed to snag 6 craaps with no special tools other than wootalzyer - which often doesn't help.

I was at work and the wifey logged in and was able to score the marvelous bag of carp. So very happy. Christmas koi for us! Thanks Woot!

Is the bag of carp made up of previous woot items? or things that are just laying about that never got sold? i understand that it wouldn't be, saw, the Sony A-I-O PC, or the HP notebook, but rather things like the milk frother, the spices, etc.? Just wondering.

Curious about all those whining about the slow servers. If the server was mega-fast, wouldn't you have just been beaten to the koi faster? As opposed to the server being slow, did you ever stop to think it might have simply been queuing Wooters up to see it there were any left? If you there were 1997 of them, and you were requesting the 1998th, you were too late if it took the serve five minutes to tell you that, or if it took five seconds to tell you that. They beat me, they beat you, they were faster. Get over it and be first next time.

I got the Christmas one last year, it was a bunch of weird stuff, like stuff that a kid would get if their parents shopped at a dollar store that had a time warp to 1979 at the door would get for Christmas(like a Battlestar Galactica ID holder, lord knows where they dug that from) but there was a lot of really random oddball stuff (not just 3 items) so it was rather cool to sift through.

Honestly, for $8 you really can't complain about what you get. I'm just glad i'm finally getting one.
