I had this (bought from Home Debit) its horrible. It used water to wind up the hose and you will get your lawn soaking wet in one spot waiting for it to reel back in

Tomorrow night will bring the water sprinkler that "walks" itself across the lawn following the hose!!!

considering where i live in wisconsin, as of right now the last thing i was hoping for is a hose reel. why not something useful for use like snow shovels or a snow blower. with 8 inches expected around here, no one is thinking of hose reels. omgwin!!

These are very handy. If my in-laws had one of these instead of mounting a hose holder on the fence, they wouldn't have had the outside spigot break off when the hurricane blew their fence down!

This actually seems like it's a great idea. Thinking of getting it for my arthritic mother who loves her plants more than her children... Something about them not talking back. Anyways, probably consider getting a couple of em, one for the front yard, another for the back.

woot that's false advertisement 100 ft became 3 ft? And I only discovered it after I bought 3 for my soon-to-be foreclosed condo! yikes! I go hosed! again!!! what will i tell my old lady?

Please don't tell my lady I just bought 3!

When rolling up the hose will water remain in the hose?
Does the "Four Foot Drain Hose" mean that the water drains in one spot when rolling up?

Please don't delete this post, I am trying, honest!

A relative got one of these, asked me to help when she had trouble with it. I'm not sure if it's the exact same model but it looks close. It's a cool novelty thing and fun to play with... but rock solid quality it ain't.

The problem is the whole thing is basically plastic, including those hose connections you see, with plastic threads, so they don't hold up too well against the metal hose ends you'll be screwing on there. Screw on and off a couple times and it isn't long before the plastic gets shredded up and you're breaking out the pliers cause something got real stuck.

Just FYI.

Have you been eating that sandwich again?

These things actually work really well. Uses water to reel it in so be expecting water to make a puddle below the hose reel.

IMHO, worth the woot

This machine can be tricky. You have to make sure the hose is not sitting in an awkward spot, or wrapped around something when done using it. The machine can get the hose tangled while winding it up.

high pressure, no batteries needed, easily mountable, cheep auto-crank action for my hose.
...sounds like an add for a something that charges by the hour

We have one and it works fine... pulls the hose straight up the driveway into the garage...

To reel in the hose you flip a lever that redirects the water flow - rather than going out the 100 foot hose it goes through a water-piston engine that rewinds the hose - the four foot hose takes the water away as it rotates the reel...

... and we direct the four foot hose into the nearby flower bed, so there is no waste...

Maybe you could use this hose crank with the "Bigger Penis" that WOOT is now advertising.

Shouldnt that ad be over on Sellout Woot!?

I would pay $100 if you could wind 100' of water hose with the "bent arm" technique

I don't think someone named bigwhitebear is the target demographic. I'm buying it for my mother as she doesn't ever put the hose away.
