I love my Dyson. I am constantly AMAZED at how much s*@t it gets out of the carpets, and because it's easy to empty and clean it has never felt as disgustingly dirty to me as a regular vacuum. I have a refurburshed one, it it has no problem. You do only get a 30 day warranty with it (use your AMEX and extend that....). I'll never use another brand.

Which is the same as the previous mentions of this site - http://www.arabscarf.com/items/1916_DYS-UVC-DC25ALLFLOORSIRON-SY

That price is some other currency also not USD, the USD price is $335 as stated on the site, or 268 Euro's if you prefer. Shipping has to be pretty high coming from an undisclosed foreign country. Seems a little shady to me!

Yea, I agree. I ebay'd mine for a couple-hundred a few years back. The good thing about them is they're very modular and easy to repair...and practically indestructible. I'd honestly prefer a dyson upright because the sludge is a bit of a pain. Luckily, I have a dumpster within a close walk from my town-home...

Convert it to the ANIMAL version with a $70 attachment from Dyson

rleikis

quality posts: 0 Private Messages rleikis

Only a little belt that's easy to get to, np for more than a year. The ball maneuvers like a dream, and the functionality of the wand/attachments will have you wondering why other vacuums get away with being so very bad. Suction on mine has been awesome, even with kitty litter. I scoffed at my SO's interest in getting one, and now I won't use anything else.

There is no special adapter needed or anything? The attachment will work on this model as well? I couldn't find anything online that gave a definite yes or no.

I picked up a Dyson DC14 on sale at local store with a 30% off coupon. I did scads of research and comparison on each model. I love the ball concept, but the drawback for me was that the dirt container is about half the size of the DC14 and DC17. Trust me... your new Dyson will be picking up more dirt and fine dust than you ever imagined possible. It picked up dirt and embedded pet hair from an area rug in my kitchen that I vacuumed EVERY DAY with a different brand. If you don't mind emptying more often (which is super simple on the Dyson) then this is a great deal. You can pick up those fancy attachments that come with the "Animal" version on ebay relatively cheap.

Didn't these just hit the market a couple of months ago? Maybe not, but the first commercial I saw regarding this vacuum was just a month or 2 ago. If they already have refurbs, must not be good a product. Bad wut.

Oh, and the g/f has the Animal and loves it. But you have to wipe off a small filter once in a while to keep the suction strong. My job, obviously.

I rarely post, but I wanted to warn everyone to NEVER buy Dyson products. They are all cheap, bulky, pieces of cr*p. You have no idea what you are getting yourself into if you buy one of these. If I had to choose between having to use a Dyson every day or getting Herpes, I’d choose Herpes.

UM lets see here, well although its not the most respectable job in the world my dad is a vacuum salesmen. He started selling Kirby's back in the day and then open'd his own store years later. Long story short he knows literally EVERYTHING about Vacuums, kinda scary. Anygay's if you want to buy a QUALITY vacuum BUY AN AMERICAN MADE RICCAR!!! Bagless vacuums are never a good choice because there is no good seal around where the dirt is and u end up throwing a ton of dust into the air and make yourself more work dusting later on in life. Secound a vacuum is only as good as the brush that it uses, if it is a brush like that which is on the Dyson it will wear out most likely in a year and like the one dude said good luck going to your Vacuum place or walmart or wherever to find replacement parts. I say all this to support American manufacturing, American job's, and well above all a GOOD vacuum, Buy a RICCAR! or if you can handle the price and weight of a Kirby, then go for it, IT ALL COMES DOWN TO TAKING CARE OF YOUR VACUUM, a house vacuum is NOT A SHOP VAC! dont go out to your car and vacuum up pennies, you'll break the fan's in them, a Vaccum will only last as long as you want it to. Riccar or Kirby the only true Vacuums, other than those it literally is Plastic GARBAGE

I'd buy this in a second if the non-ball version I already own was near death. But, alas, after two years of HEAVY use, it keeps on suckin'. I'd definitely recommend this - its a great price and a well made product.

This person is just wrong, and obviously doesn't own one. Mine sprays NO dust and have used it nearly every three days or so for 2 years and have NO brush issues. It works just like it did when I bought it. AND - my vacuum store can order parts for it, if I needed them to. Totally but with confidence. I'd be really surprised if you don't love it.

I bought the DC15 from woot a couple of years ago and it generally has worked well. Picks up a lot of dust and judging from the amount of carpet lint, it can be somewhat aggressive to carpet fibers (although our carpet is old and probably needs replacement).

The major mechanical problem we had was one of the bearings on the beater brush going bad. It's a sleeve bearing in a plastic housing and it overheated and melted the assembly, making a horrid noise as it destructed.

Replacement parts are not cheap - a replacement beater bar and bearing for one side was $50.

Uhhh.. that's what the HEPA Filtration system is for. No dust to the air.
So, the bag systems don't have this problem?? Everything is trapped in the bag? Where does the air go? All in the bag? I don't think so, it would go up like a cherry bomb.

You need to teach your dad some new tricks. Just because it's 'good ole' tech, doesn't mean it's better than new tech. Has he tried a Dyson? I doubt it.

BUYER BEWARE! We bought one of the Dyson vacuums during a Woot Sellout last September. It's been to the repair shop 4 times. Still not fixed. Dyson has been no help. Repair folks are extremely reputable and have two shops. They say they need another room in each shop to hold all the broken down Dysons they have that are not repairable. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY LIKE I DID!

Ive had a DC14 for 4 years now, and Dyson is now the only vaccuum I will ever own.

We have an American Bulldog with white hair. Ive put my Dyson up against every vaccuum that experts say are better for half the price. The Dysons are the only ones that have cleaned the hair up at a near 100% rate with a half full container.

Personally, I dont care what anyone thinks. My carpet is cleaner than most, and it takes me half the time. For a once every 5 year purchase, I dont mind spending the little extra to ensure it works the way I want.

We bought our first Dyson in the UK about 8 years ago, and have used one ever since (we have a US version now that we are back home). They are extremely robust and "user friendly" - all the design features are well thought out - hoses, attachments, etc. are all great. Plenty of suction and dirt capturing - way more than with a conventional bag vacuum. We'll never buy another brand.

Well, since we know you didn't buy a Dyson then I guess we all know which you've got!

I've had the same Dyson (Animal) for 5+ years now. 3 dogs, a dusty rural house, and I've had ZERO problems with it! One of the best investments I ever made. Bought a Kirby years ago... Yawn! The Dyson truly S-U-C-K-S and in a good way. Super easy (and clean) to empty. Rinse and dry the HEPA filter once a year. The tools are always at the ready and easy to use. I wish all products were made this well!

I refuse to waste any more time trying to have a better past!
