6 sprinklers for $20!

Unfortunately, I live in an apartment.

How do these work on smaller lawns? I have had many sprinklers, and most tend to not go as short of a range as labeled

It's a shame I don't believe in watering lawns with municipal water. This is a pretty good deal.

My yard isn't big enough to need sprinklers, but this seems like an amazing deal. Might need some for gifts.

Eh, I'm in for a set. What the heck. I got a bunch of freshly-planted grass that could use a little extra help.

I like the idea of daisy-chaining these. Can someone geek out and let me know how many I can chain together to maintain optimum spray radius on each, thereby reducing my need to move them multiple times? 'Cuz I can be lazy like that...

I bought one of these a while back and it works great on my lawn, waters a large coverage area

Nelson sprinklers have some pretty good reviews on Buzzillions in genereal. But none for this exact model.

I do a daily woot blog where I talk about the woot, link to CSEs, find reviews, etc. A few people have told me it's useful. Google "useful linkage" and there it is.

Note all of the Western states purchased these... thanks for watering your deserts.

I would totally be in for this but water makes my grass grow which requires me to mow it.

I'd get these if they could spray a dessicant onto my poor, flooded property. I used to have a nice lawn and now I live in a fetid swamp.

After the absurd amounts of rain we've received so far this year, I don't think I'll need to water anything outside for the next 5 years or so.

They seem to sell from $8-$10 each on ebay and elsewhere... So a pair for $10 is an acceptable deal.

A Good Choice if you have a small lawn, but if you have more money and a fairly large lawn, I'd invest in a sprinkler system. They are suprisingly cheap to have installed which I found out last year. Rain trains work out really well too.

Or you could just daisy chain them together and watch the neighborhood kids come over.

It says it comes with stabilizing spikes - is this the 8 inch stakes that others have, do you know?

I have a couple of places my sprinklers don't reach and might supplement with these but want to stake them.

Just a thought... turn down your water?

are those spikes steel or aluminum?

seems like they'd rust pretty quickly if they are steel.

Anyone know if these are Made in the USA or not?

I have tried that, but then the head on the sprinkler doesn't move because there isn't enough pressure =/

Would aluminum be strong enough to survive all summer to see the next one?

Thankfully, the hose input/output connectors appear to be made out of brass, so they won't rust. No more stuck hoses.

However, the top part of the sprinkler, and the two poles don't appear to be made out of brass. Will they rust? I guess time will tell.

Do these come with a timer installed to have them turn on and off at a certain time? Or are they able to operate on a timer installed to the water supply?

Usually pulsating sprinklers have an adjustment screw at the business end of the spray head that you can move in or out of the spray; the farther it intrudes into the spray, the more diffuse the spray becomes and the shorter distance it travels.

If this is like every other pulsating sprinkler there is a screw that you can turn to interfere the stream of water which shortens the distance.

What type of pulse do these make and can it be adjusted?

Really I'm wondering how much adjustment can you have on the pulse/spray? I know some places have strict water requirements and I was wondering if these have anyway to adjust the flow/pulse to use less water...

Most of the descriptions I found during a quick google for Nelson sprinklers claimed that their products are made in the USA (not necessarily this specific product, but other sprinklers).

HOWEVER, I did find this amazon.com review from some angry gentleman who claims that the sprinkler he received said "made in china".

The whole point of the sprinkler is to put X inches of water on the lawn. If you reduced the rate you'll just need to water longer.
