If ya don't wanna water the lawn, then pave over it, vato.

Yeah, there sure is a lot of general water out there. Only problem is when you consider just how much of it is SALT water and how much of it is POLLUTED so badly it's undrinkable and unrecoverable, so much so that desalinization is a better option despite energy use/cost.

Oh, and to save you time, Earth's water is only about 2-3% fresh water. And since figures change/disputed and what not, let's just say under 10% period.

I would not be too sure that these sprinklers are made in the USA. I bought a Nelson Sprinkle two days ago, and according to the packaging, it was made it China.

It not a bad deal if you need 6 of them, but I don't need 6. I doubt I would need 2, so I will just get one at Walmart when I need it.

Why get one from WM when you can get 2 from woot almost at the same price?

m3rdpwr wrote:There are rotary sprinklers that can be in fact adjusted similar to star patterns!

At Lowes they have a Rotary Sprinker with adjustable guids that can be shapped like a roller coaster or however dips and spikes you want.

It's like a plastic round band that surrounds the sprinkler head. You push it up or down in the areas you want to go further or closer.

I'm sure it works, but when I was messing with one in the store, it broke, so I don't know how good it is...

I had one of these adjustable types. You allegedly were able to sprinkle a square or irregular shaped lawn. It was a real pain in the ass to adjust the roller-coaster ring to resemble the pattern you wanted. And of course as you said, it broke easily.

If you just stake the two sprinklers at the corners of your yard without hose, you could tell your neighbors who ask "its wireless".

So hook up your handy-dandy pocket desalinization machine to the sprinklers and water away. BTW, you leftist pinko commie tree-huggers should spend less time minding MY business and more time working on how to remove the salt and the whale poo from ocean water. 2 birds, one stone = more fresh water, less whining. voila!

whale poo...hmm...I guess we should go hunting! Fix that part of the problem right there.

We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge or gallantry would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution is designed only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for any other.

I'm sorry, but when did YOU buy all of the Earth's fresh water to own it as if you could waste it to your own liking? When you do that, give me a post so then I can apologize for actually getting into something that is solely your business.

Nice name calling by the way. Apparently having a mind of my own and an understanding of consequences makes you liberal, among other things. Would it be safe to call you a self-entitled redneck conservative? Oh wait...

And to be perfectly clear. I am not against watering grass, generally. I'm just saying, if you HAVE to do it on a regular basis, use your brain and pick a different species of grass that actually works with your climate instead of wasting drinking water.

Great father's day gift!

hoho, picked up one of these. there isn't really a use for 2 or more because 1 covers 90 feet, and you're getting 2.

Dad doesn't want to tear up the lawn to add a sprinkler system, so this will have to do because getting out in the morning to water the grass is time consuming.

Hopefully it works good. Great woot! item!

Better yet, why don't you gripe at the people with insane daily commutes! They're using up all the gasoline reserves when they could just live closer to work instead!

Just think about all of the suburban lawns being watered day in and day out. Billions of gallons of water so we can grow grass-the stupidest plant in existence. Can't eat it, but ya got to weed it and feed it and seed it and patch it and mow it and whack it and lime it. And WATER it. Just think if we all invested that amount of energy, resources and money into growing vegetables and fruit on our properties. We would never have to spend $2 on a tomato again.

but oregon is really wet, too. And Idaho gets alot of rain... even California has some really wet spots...

ah ignorance... could we survive without it?

I really don't know ..

How provincial (and typical) of a wet sider. Oregon is primarially a desert. Pull out a map and check out the south east. And while the eastern 2/3rd of Washington may not be the High Desert, it is pretty dry.

I was sitting in the waiting room today and saw an article in a US Today about woot. I went home opened the web page and saw two springlers for 10.00. I said what the hell, lets see how they work and odered them tonight.

What else do you sell on this website? I will let everyone know how the springlers work once I get them up and running.
