How do I get music on to these things?

Good reviews on Alatest.
http://alatest.com/searchaction.html?keyword1=Sandisk+Sansa+Clip+2GB

I do a daily woot blog where I talk about the woot, link to CSEs, find reviews, etc. A few people have told me it's useful. Google "useful linkage" and there it is.

I own four of these in different sizes. Best mp3 player I've owned as far as sound quality goes. Remember to update the firmware. It plays just about any audio format including FLAC. These things are on woot alot.

This would be awesome...
...if it were my Sansa Express which has expandable memory and isn't that much bigger.

Great price though. Buy 3! It's never too early for stocking stuffers!

Are the headphones black no matter what color you purchase, or do they match?

lmao @ the key.
on a side note - these things are great. Small simple mp3 players that do the job. They work great as a voice recorder as well.

How is the Clip compared to the E200 series models.... better, less reliable, etc.?

easy as Plug and Prey with Drag and Drop, and can be used as a thumb drive, if you want to carry around the supplied USB cable!

I've ordered 6 of these in the past and 5 of the 6 worked great (and made great x-mas gifts). The 1 that was not working properly was RMA'd without any hastle from Woot's customer service department.

I have really liked mine! It is one of the few mp3 players that will keep your place (bookmark) with large audiobook files like you can get from net library. Just make sure the "genre" tag is set to "audiobook."

Headphones are always black, but you might want to get better ones than the apcray ones that come with this.

only color changes are the systems. if they are another color it'll be white, though highly unlikely other than black.

Purchased a new one for my wife's birthday last November for $50!

She uses it for working out and absolutely loves it. Putting MP3s on it couldn't be easier either. Just drag and drop the songs you want onto it like you would a thumb drive.

Thinking about grabbing one of these refurbed ones as a back-up.

Anybody have any idea how much memory a voice recording takes on one of these? Like how much recording time you could fit on the 2 gigs?

Caveat empty. Sandisk refurbs are often recycled without repair. I know, I got stung once and was stupid enough to try a different model on Woot - battery charge issues.

Same price at Newegg a couple of weeks ago.

These refurbished Clips really are hit and miss. I ordered two, one from here and one from Newegg a while back and it seems as if the battery on one of them drains in a single day, even when it's off. The other one's been sitting on my table for a week and it still has 3/4's of a charge left.

I bought a refurbed 1 gig from buy.com about 2 weeks ago. It worked fine the first time putting music on.

Now I can't add or delete music from it, update firmware or access the music already on it. I wouldn't mind trying this one again for the extra space and that it's absolutely great for running but I don't want to risk $20 bucks when I'm broke.

Maybe if it has some shining reviews in the morning...

These are great little players, and well worth the cost. Picked up a couple of these before Xmas: one as a gift for my mom, and one as a backup player for myself. My very technophobic mother has been able to use it without problems, and the times that I've used mine, I've been very impressed with how easy it is to use and sync. I was even impressed with how easy it is to read the tiny screen.

And you really can't beat the price. These are fantastic little players.

These are pretty cool. VERY tiny. Got mine from when they were on sellout for $1 more (OH GOD! RUN!! It's barely even a month!) Sound is very very good, maybe not quite as good as some of the more over enthusiastic reviews (Although IMO iPods have pretty bad sound so if you move from an iPod to this I can see where it'd be a big deal).. the battery lasts quite a while on a charge, randomization is very good (a lot of MP3 players seem to get this simple thing very wrong), it's easy to load (set it to MSC and it'll act like a normal flash drive so yes, it will work on a Mac)...

LOVE that it uses a standard USB mini-B plug, unlike so many other players that need a proprietary cable. That alone is almost worth the purchase.. (just to have a player you won't need to worry about losing the cable, or buying extras to be able to charge at home and at work)

The only downside is mine seems to have a bit of a static-y headphone jack at times (This seems to happen to me a lot on Sansa refurbs!) although it's not bad as long as I'm not messing with the headphones, so maybe it's in the headphones. They also just come in a little bubble wrap so gifting may be a little harder.

Overall, highly recommended.

To avoid going over some of the game points, I'll post the link to the sellout.woot discussion.. http://sellout.woot.com/Forums/ViewPost.aspx?PostID=3191093

I have 2 e200 models, one 4 gb, one 6gb. More reliable than my 4gb (essentially dead), my 6gb is still a kickin, Only real difference is that there is no color screen or micro sd card slot.

Oh and it's smaller than the e200 models.
