I have an LG Dare that charges using micro USB. Could I use a mini-to-micro converter with these to make it go?

A neat idea if it wasn't so limited (only mini-usb devices) and wasn't so wasteful (sell us a AA->usb adapter instead of a throwaway).

Why is there a switch Motorola<->Blackberry?

Isn't mini usb a universal standard, that is supposed to provide a specific amount of power no matter what is on the end of it?

So is it just Moto/Blackberry device then? How do I set the switch, should I plug it into my G1? Or should I not????

I understand the premise behind having cheap offerings for 2-for-Tuesday, but seriously...step it up! How about 2 laptops or 2 TV's? They'll sell!

Any estimates of shelf-life until it gets used? Might be great for the glove box, until I get some nice driving gloves.

For $7-$8 you can buy a cig to usb adapter. Not as portable, but still better imo.

Probably not...

If you're not going to use these I've heard storing them (or any battery for that matter) in your freezer keeps them from depleting (as they all do while sitting there) for longer.

Although, I wonder how long you could just leave them sitting in their package before you'd see a noticeable loss in capacity...

Why would you want to buy these disposable units? I would prefer one you could put your own batteries(rechargable) in. Interesting....And great for the environment.....NOT!

Will these power my usb powered wootoff lights with the right adapter?

A few months ago, I bought a few of these to charge my cell phone, but they don't work. Does today's battery work?

(It's the 2007 Sidekick LX, but that shouldn't matter... as others have pointed out, USB chargers are standard and should work.)

It's late on the east coast, and I'm slow. What do you use this for? Is it strictly for pda's or can you charge a laptop? Or am I way off.

Actually, they are recyclable...You can bring them to a stop such as a best buy or futureshop and drop them in the electronics disposal bins. Some pharmacy's have battery bins aswell. And then the company's recuperate them and make them like knew and the whole process starts again.
