OK, my Boggy Old Creature arrived this am by FedEx. It had shown as 0.4 pounds but 30x20x3.5" (give or take).

Lo and behold, a brand new ladder. Seriously. No lights. Kind of bummed, but then I checked it (Telesteps #1205) on Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/Telesteps-1205-Black-300-Pound-Telescoping/dp/B000G0ANHO

Nice! $270 on Amazon, might try for $150 on Craigslist.

This gives me a lot of hope as I too am a 1 with a .4lb package ready to be delivered today. So perhaps I'll have something good in it after all!
Worst case scenario, I still go get pizza at a local pizza place that's doing an all you can eat buffet for lunch.
$5.99 for all you can eat pizza is quite the bargain for this Wooter.

Got my Boggy Old Creature today...kinda weird, FedEx ain't supposed to deliver it 'til Friday, but it came via USPS today. Guess I'm getting something else too!

1st of all, the box was opened, so guess what...someone grabbed my scaffolding. I filed a complaint with the USPS, but that is prob as far as that will go.

Any way, here it is...

1 - Blades of Glory DVD
1 - Team America DVD
1 - Superbad DVD
4 - Wine Woot Bags
2 - 1.5" Digital Photo Keychains
1 - Multi Screwdriver Torch

Too bad there is not a way to find out what Woot actually put in the box. That way I could file a legitimate complaint and prosecute a federal offense!

No Woot Off Lights? Guess that's what is coming via FedEx.

Thank you Woot.com!

Same here, but mine is heading up to the UP.

Earth City is where FedEx hands the shipping off to usps for us folks in Missouri and usps leaps into the vacuum at tracking packages. Usually i get the package before usps says it left earth city.
My package still says it is in Dallas though
You can try tracking the package here they update a little quicker some times.

Wow, I am reading way too many comments about the low lives in the postal system (FedEx, UPS, USPS) opening woot boxes and stealing OPC (other people's scaffolding).

This is not cool, and I am sorry if you happen to work in the shipping industry and are not a low-life, but in this case one bad apple casts aspersions over the whole lot of you.

I ordered two shirts from shirt.woot (with the coupons, so after the Boggy Old Creature) and those are happily tracking their merry way across the states.

What gives, Fedex?

Just so you know I am in the same boat. I live in WA and my package says Irving TX. Has been there since the 16th. Tracking shows a delivery of the 22nd so I am just going to wait it out. Only thing I can do I guess. So hard to wait this is my first Bravo Oscar Charlie!

This is the problem I hope they could solve somehow. It seems that every thread on B,O,C's has several people with opened boxes, the weight never matches and it is obvious that the boxes have been tampered with.

I had sugested that the label don't read B,O,C to prevent theft, but from the boxes coming in (from what I have read, since I did not get mine yet) it says "woot lights", so that is not a detterent either.

I thought it was not a big deal until it happened to me. It is theft and it feels like a violation in which we can't do anything about it because we have no proof of where it happened or what is missing.

Someone had sugested a receipt stating the contents (good idea for us, but may not be practical or cost effective and it would be time consuming for Woot Staff).

Perhaps something simpler would be to staple the lids with those heavy duty staples, or tape the boxes both width and length wise.

Maybe someone can come up with something that would work and Woot! would not mind enacting.

I am out of ideas, but I think it reeks that packages are tampered with and stuff is taken out of them, but there are too many hands handling these boxes and too much transfering from one carrier to another and no way of knowing who did what.

PEACE

Let's me break it down by shipper:
UPS (Pronounced OOPS): Package arrives looking like it has been shipped via international trebuchet.
FedEx: It might get there overnight unless there are problems with the plane.
DHL: Box will arrive in multiples pieces scattered about your lawn and/or driveway.
USPS: Box will arrive 2 hours after their shipping system says it was delivered.
