When I got my Woot! lights last year, both of them were broken. When I emailed Woot!, they refunded my money. Then, I decided to open up the little darlins and found that two of the wires were not correctly soldiered onto the contacts. Thankfully, I had a small soldiering iron (doesn't everyone? LOL) and fixed them. I was surprised and delighted that they worked after that. I have them at my school on top of my computer and my students love watching for them when I have a special event planned. Look inside and see what you can do...it's not really hard...but I do agree that when money is paid, the product should be worth the price. Good luck.
