I guess this is a good deal, but I can't stand golf.
Now, if you offered those exploding golf balls I'd go for that.

See ya in 24 hrs (minus a few mins)

LOL, that was a good one. Seriously, you can't get a JUNIOR set of clubs for 29 bucks. Unless you pick up some crappy clubs at Play It Again Sports.

Funny podcast, but ... NO LOVE FOR LEFTIES?! ARGH!... Good thing it's winter, though winter golfing can be fun. Just do it w/ the old set, and one of thos golf balls w/ a GPS tracker in it.

Sorry, don't play golf. Cost a little too much to use to beat ice off of the eves of the house.

This looks like a decent woot, if I played golf...

With the wine, ironing board, sushi kit, and golf clubs, I have discovered I'm even more likely to check the woot late at night just to see what crazy stuff they are going to put up, and how many people complain about said woot.

My current set of VERY old wilson starter set is sitting, rusting away, in my garage...

Shouldn't I?

Can't speak to these particular clubs, but I think Tommy Armour is a good brand.

Yeah, you beat me to it. It's Frank Abagnale. His books are fantastic reads, by the way. The Art of the Steal is an especially good book if you want to learn how to protect yourself from various forms of fraud (or how to perpetrate various forms of fraud Wink).

This is a woot! These clubs sell for $400 everyhere else. You will get lucky to find them cheaper than the woot price on ebay. I need some better clubs and i cant pass these up for this price. Damn woot, keeping my credit card balance up, even when I just made a $500 payment to my Visa.

As for all the "it's winter" comments, I played golf yesterday in 75 degree weather, yet we have already had snow at the beginning of October. Gotta love Colorado weather.

Cheers mon ami! Cheap items are what we need here! Inexpensive 1337 (leet) gadgets so that we can stay cooler and technologically ahead of our pals at an affordable rate. Well - gof is fun, but these clubs need to have a 61" plasma screen in the handle - a computer in the shaft and an MP3 player in the head for it to be worth my while - thanks anyway.

Good Woot.
Those of you who dislike steel shafts on your irons...what on earth are you thinking? Irons should have steel shafts always, save the graphite for your woods.

Love the Caddyshack quote on the front page, here are some more from my all-time favorite movie.

"My uncle says you're crazy."
"...your uncle molests collies."

"I was born to love you.
I was born to lick your face.
I was born to rub you,
but you were born to rub me first."

"So we get up on the first tee and I give him the driver...he hauls off and whacks one. Big hitter, the lama, long...into a 10,000 crevasse right at the base of this glacier. You know what the lama says?
Gunga Galunga...Gunga...Gunga La Gunga.
So we finish 18...and he's gonna stiff me...and I say HEY, Lama, HEY! How's about a little somethin' you know....for the effort, you know?
He says to me 'Oh there won't be any money...but when you die...on your death bed...you will receive...total...conciousness.'
So I got that goin' for me.
Which is nice."

"What's wrong with lumberyards? I own four lumberyards."
"I notice you don't spend too much time there."
"I'm not sure where they are."

"Ahoy Palloy...Where did you come from, a scotch ad?"

"Spaulding get dressed you're playing golf today."
"No I'm not Grandpa, I'm playing tennis!"
"YOU'RE PLAYING GOLF AND YOU'RE GOING TO LIKE IT!"
"What about my asthma?"
"I'll give you asthma!...Say Ty, what'd you shoot today?"
"Oh, I don't keep score, Judge."
"Well how do you measure yourself with other golfers?"
"By height."
"You know, you really should consider playing with Dr. Beeper and myself. He's been club champion three years running and I'm...no slouch, myself!"

I don't know if I'm posting this in the right place but I got my coveted B.O.C. today, has anyone else got theirs? I got DVD-R/W discs, a universal remote, & a wallet & faux leather carrying case. Nothing great but I got my money's worth and had lots of fun for 2 1/2 hours to get it. Did anyone get a Matrix DVD collection that's what I was hoping for. I kinda doubt anyone did, but you never know.

I have this set and they are very good intermediate irons. The play is forgiving and there is a big sweetspot for beginners. These clubs are good all-around and comparable to more expensive clubs in the $500 range. If your new to the game these clubs will grow with your game, and if you want to improve these clubs will help.

Golf clubs? Kinda gambling with this sports item. Not many people have the time, patience, or skill to play. How about a Beverage of Choice again! That always sells like hotcakes!
