If their MP3 players are anything like their CDs, then I will gladly buy 80 and place them on a shelf where they will remain for three to five years.

Memorex has very shady support, so buyer beware, if this unit ever fails, consider yourself out of luck.

You'd be surprised how many make 3mm and not 3.5mm

You are way better off with a sansa. The support would be much greater, and well it might work longer.

there are a few things that would make this better. one, if it had a micro sdhc slot. two, if it wasnt memorex. And three, if it was a sansa

With a little hell, maybe, but it would be just easier to use it as a virtual disk and drag and drop.

This is not compatible with iTunes. Only with Windows Media Player. Or drag and drop.

I wonder if there's a significant difference between MMP8585 and MMP8585C models...

Found this manual for the MMP8585 model....

Darn, and I just bought 2 Sansa's from the Woot off. Oh, well, Sansa is a more reliable brand for MP3s anyways.

Well, it *can* use iTunes...it just takes quite a bit of patience and time to transfer the media files into Windows Media Player.
