We got ours Tuesday morning. Placed her in the charger and Lil Miss Roomba's light turned green in a short time. I took her for a test drive, cleaning the entrance, hall and small bathroom. She did a great job. She even pushed the bathroom door closed to get behind the door. Then I had to help her get unstuck from the bathroom. Once I finished clearing the clutter from the rest of the house, she can really let loose! Thanks woot!

I got mine last Tuesday. It is the second 530 I have purchased from Woot this summer. I liked the first one so much I just had to have another for the upstairs. I'm sorry to hear that some of you guys have had problems. This happened with the last batch according to the posts. At least iRobot stands behind them. I tell you though, with both of mine all I have done is pull it out of the box, pull the yellow tab, and put it to work. Both of them cleaned for about an hour before finding the dock. So I am not thinking that you guys need to charge these before use. Have you ever heard of training a battery? You want a full charge (done at the factory), drain it, full charge, drain it, and maybe another cycle for good measure....then you are all set.
I noticed this one didn't come with an extra filter like the ones in June. Did anybody get a second filter with theirs? Also, this one had green brushes, where as my first one had red brushes. Did everybody else get green ones? I'm not sure what the difference is, but the greens ones seem like they would be more durable to me.
It's 5 o'clock somewhere.

I love that about Lil Miss Roomba. She glares at us with her little green eye, making sure we no longer place items on the floor that don't belong on the floor. She's very stern with us about keeping the clutter up. Our living room looks better than it has in months now that we have Lil Miss Roomba.

Question about my Lil Miss Roomba: She's primarily used downstairs, that's where her charging base is located. If I carry her upstairs to do work, will she just run until the floors are clean and stop, or keep going and going until battery dies because she can't find the charging base? I'm hoping she would be smart enough to stop when the floors are clean, regardless of charging base.

My experience is that it might do either. When I only had one, I would carry it upstairs and sometimes I would find it in the middle of the room. I pushed the button and it was red, thus out of juice. Then other times I would punch the button and it was green or yellow and it would start cleaning again. The reason for punching the button is to make sure there are no error messages like, "Please clean Roomba's brushes!" At that point Roomba stops regardless of whether it has juice or if the floors are still dirty.

Thanks. I ended up moving the charging base upstairs while she cleaned and she went back to charger like normal. But I've now decided to only use her downstairs from now on, as she likes the wood floors better than the carpet.

Been using "Dusty Bottoms" for a few weeks now. Battery life sucked at first (20m) but used 2 solutions:
1) reset the unit and charged overnight...now it lasts for nearly 2hrs
2) during the overnight charging, instead of waiting to see if it was going to work, I emailed iRobot and they shipped me a new battery for free!
Works amazing. We have 2 cats and a rotti. It picks up all the hair from carpet/tile. Only gripe is that the brushes/rollers need cleaned about every 3rd run. Pre-cleaned with a Dyson and Dusty still picked up more afterwards!
The Big o' Cosmos is my white-whale. So little sleep, so much disappointment.
