Like others here, I clean and reuse mine, but I did just pick up a set from an eBay store recently while I was getting other stuff ... and they're not expensive ...

I used my Roomba for a few months, and then gave up and it now rests in the dark, backside of my closet. Too much furniture and carpets in the house. I was spending more time digging it out from under a chair or unstuffing the carpet it was trying to digest than I would have spent doing the carpets the old fashioned way, which I hated, so ..... I hired a cleaning lady instead....

I'm probably the only person who will ever say this, but I honestly had a horrible experience with my roomba. I gave him a burial in the dumpster after only 6 months when he started playing the death chime. I took good care of him, it was like losing a pet.

Had a scooba, loved it.

I have a broken 560 (the standard problem with the gear box not being sealed). Will I be able to remove the scheduler part from the 560 and add it to this one?

I love my 550s, if only I had more rooms for more Roombas!

Not a bad thing to have, and it works better than I expected when I first got mine. the big plus is the less cat hair on the floor and the look on the cats faces when it starts up.

Testing - just ignore this. - OK so I see that others are as goofy as I am - and are checking their colours. Hee hee.

Today I get a newsletter from woot. Tonight I bet there is a woot-off. I'm beginning to see a pattern here!

I bought this exact Roomba on woot a while back. When I got it, it gave me a 9 beep error, which couldn't be fixed. iRobot ended up sending me a brand new one to replace it.

I replaced my old Roomba 410 with this a few Woots ago. It beats the heck out of the old one. The BT virtual wall never needs to be turned on/off.

Now I can see my new color too

I have had Roombas and pets for years...YES, Roombas struggle with pet hair-even the one that is supposed to be for pet hair! It is a toss up of cleaning the brushes or dragging out the big vac and doing it the "hard" way with my Dyson. The joke here is in my opinion, the Roomba is meant for sprucing up, not real cleaning; but, sometimes that's all you want.

my 530 was binding up the brush bearings with dog hair early on, but it somehow stopped doing it...and I still have the dog. strange
edit: I'm still better than everyone else.

I Disagree. I tried, I called them & it(the remote) dosen't go from 400 series to 500 series

The docks are not cross-compatible. 500 series docks only works with 500 series robots and not with any other series. 400 series robots only works with 400 series docks and not with any other series.

If you have a 400 series "Scheduler" remote control, then the remote control functions (clean, spot, pause, drive, turn, etc) will control a 500 series robot, but the Scheduling functions will not work with a 500 series robot.

Got this model for the parents last year. They love it! Naturally mine is the mack daddy model. These things are great seriously...and the folks at IRobot really back their product if you have any issues!

thought I'd share my roomba experience. got one here moons ago when it was still a novelty item. hell, by now, doesn't everyone got one?

first, had to cut the fringe off my fake persian rugs (cheapo mr 2nds anyway); it don't like fringe

likewise shoes w/laces; gotta pick 'em all up. yeah, I know; but the reason single guys get this is cuz they're lazy

also had to move chairs out from the dining room table to another room; it would get stuck/confused with 16 chair legs and 4 table legs in a small area

bottom line - it's less work just to grab the upright and swing it around

wound up giving it away

Yeah... I noticed my square was a nice deep green instead of black.. Now I am no longer "better than everyone else"... Yet. I also scored a "quality post". Yippee...

Seem's that whenever I get an email from woot, a woot-off isn't far off... I predict.... tomorrow.
