Bojangles American World Tour 2 has begun!

But first, a reprint from the Thread that started it all!:

I have a Woot Flying Monkey. His name is Bojangles. I like him and I think he likes me, however he is getting restless and wants to see the world. He needs some of you fellow Wooters to help him out.

The convoluted plan goes something like this:

Bojangles, the Woot Flying Monkey, wants to visit some different places, other than where he lives now. His journey is designed as a round trip, so he will end up back here with me when the whole thing is said and done. Bojangles, the Woot Flying Monkey, would like to visit you and your hometown for a short vacation!

If you want to participate in his travels (and I'm sure some of you can provide some exciting sights for Bojangles, the Woot Flying Monkey), simply PM your name and address to me (easy1) - this is not a scam to get your info, I'll keep it private and only share between the participants of the Adventures of the Woot Flying Monkey.

I'll create an itinerary route of travel based on the fellow Wooters who wish to participate. If, by chance, some participants are in the same city, I'll ensure they don't get Bojangles, the Woot Flying Monkey, back-to-back.

Obligations of the participants:

1) Each participant will have the responsibility to take at least one photograph of the Woot Flying Monkey in a venue or site that indicates his presence in your area... such as a famous landmark, a "Welcome to Podunk or wherever" sign. Make sure Bojangles, the Woot Flying Monkey, is in the photograph. Please, no photochopped pictures allowed!

2) Each participant will have the responsibility to post a picture or pictures on the "Adventures of the Woot Flying Monkey" thread here on Woot.com. Of course, you have the option to add a narrative that tells us about Bojangles and his adventures in your neck of the world!

3) Each participant will have the responsibility to post the date that Bojangles, the Woot Flying Monkey, arrived in your hometown, and then to post the date that Bojangles, the Woot Flying Monkey, departed your hometown.

4) Each participant will have the responsibility to mail the Woot Flying Monkey to the next participant in the order that's on the itinerary. Please, no side trips or ad-lib journeys! Also note that it takes some amount of money and time to pack Bonjangles, the Woot Flying Monkey, in a small box or package and mail it to the next person on the itinerary. If you're not prepared to do this, please don't participate!

5) Each participant will have the responsibility to do all of the above (steps 1 - 5) in one week or less (preferably less, but no longer than 1 week). This allows frequent updating of the Adventures of the Woot Flying Monkey thread. Again, If you're not prepared to do this, please don't participate!

In addition, it goes without saying that each participant will have the responsibility to protect the names and addresses of the other participants. Please don't share that info with anyone else!

Even if you don't participate, we welcome comments and other posts from fellow wooters! However, please don't post false Adventures of the Woot Flying Monkey. The participants will know the actual itinerary of Bojangles, the Woot Flying Monkey, and all false adventures will be very obvious to detect.

Please consider joining in the fun! If you have any questions or suggestions, please post them!

So it began, and so now, it continues!

It's not my (soon to be ex) wife's pretty head...



It's Bojangles! The w00t-Flying Monkey! He's finally arrived and Jester greats him to the joy of Chewy the dog.



Chewy quickly agrees to give Bo a puppy-back ride.



Bo is also greeted by his little cousins who show him their favorite beer stine. There'll be a lot of drinking later!



Completely tuckered out by the long flight, Bo takes a nap with Kitt-Katt (yes, it's a girl kitty).

When Bo wakes up, the REAL adventures will begin!

DAY 1

I figured for the first day, Bo may as well check out all the touristy stuff within a 1/4 mile of my house.

The first thing Bo noticed was the Abandoned Gas Station directly across from my house



But it was far too scary for Bo, so he peeked at it from behind a tree.

Next, just down the road is The Medalist Golf Club.



Bo wanted to play a round, but they don't allow black caped monkeys to play there...

And finally, just a few hundred feet further down the road is the world famous Turkeyville.



They have actual tour buses come in every day and it's even been featured on some resturant show on the Food Network.

So that's it for today. Tomorrow I'll venture a little bit further from home.

Day 2 & 3

Bo decided he wanted to spend Thursday and Friday playing poker at the NEW! FireKeepers Casino which is only about 10 minutes from my house. Unfortunately, they don't allow cameras inside.



After 2 successful days of Texas Hold'em, Bo celebrates by "Making it Rain" on Kitt-Katt.

Sorry for the long delay. Sometimes, real-life is a drag. Anyway, Bo's Mighigan Adventures continued today. See all the action in this thread!

Bo's first leg of the tour will wrap-up this weekend and he'll be back on the road Monday Morning!

Bo visited Detroit today. All the w00t-cast inspired pix are posted in the thread linked above. I'll be finishing up his tour of Michigan over the weekend and will post the pix on Monday, as well as send Bo off to his next destination. Once Bo's story is revealed you'll understand why it's taken so long. It'll be worth the wait!

Bojangles First Stop on his American World Tour 2, has finally come to an end! I again appologize for the long delay. Several things happened that caused the trip to be put on pause. But on to the Adventure!

Shortly after Bo's Casino Adventure and his celebration with Kitt-Katt, they ran off and got MARRIED!!

They were gone for about a week, when I finally got a call from Bo, who needed to be picked up, he was penniless and Divorced.



Bo was in a state of depression that I just couldn't shake him out of.

He found some new friends and tried some experimenting...



That just didn't do it for Bo though, so he found some social outcasts and turned to sorcery and satantism...



But not even rolling a Natural 20 could cheer him up.



Finally though, it was my daughter's birthday party and we finally found what makes a monkey happy.... cake and presents!



Finally cheered up, Bo was finally ready to go on a Road Trip!!

It's Football Season, so what better to tour than various stadiums in Michigan! And where better to start than the University of Michiagn's "Big House"!





Also nearby is Eastern Michigan's Rynearson Stadium.



Shortly before Detroit, we went to Allen Park to see the Giant Uniroyal Tire and the Detroit Lions Practice Facility.



We continued on to Downtown Detroit. Some of those photos can be seen in Bo's World w00t-Cast Debut Thread.

Where better to start than with the Ultimate Symbol of Destruction of the Detroit Economy and American Inginuity.



Nearby we saw the Detroit Princess.



That got Bo looking across the river. He wanted me to fling him over to Canada! While I totally agreed with him that he's capable of flying 50ft, I assured him that it was a lot further than that to cross the river.



We explored further and found Joe Louis Areana, Home of the Detroit Red Wings!



A long walk later, we found Ford Field, Home of the Detroit Lions:



Right next to Ford Field is Comerica Park, home of the Detroit Tigers. Bo was still pretty upset in how the Tigers blew a 5 game lead and choked in the one game playoff to the Twins, so we only got one photo before he started flinging poo. We managed to get away before security noticed.



His sour mood soon turned dangerous when we stumbled upon Greektown Casino!



The temptation was too great for Bo and he had to try his paws at Texas Hold'em again. He walked out after nearly doubling his money which of course required a celebration! We stopped at Frank's Press Box in Lansing and found another w00ter!



Bo did manage to get a cute waitress to take off her shirt so we could get a photo.



However, I learned a valuable leason that night. No matter how much you drink, and no matter how much they beg... never let w00t flying monkeys drive your car!



Bo felt really bad about wrecking my car and came to visit me at Bronson Methodist Hospital.



He did his best to patch me up:



So with a complete fracture of my collar bone, fracture of the C7 Transverse Process (vertebrae), 2 cracked ribs, shattered front tooth, 6 staples, Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), and a concussion later, I got out of the hospital and we finished up his tour.

Bronson Methodist Hospital is in Kalamazoo (Yes, there really is a Kalamazoo) which is also home to the Western Michigan Broncos. Ironically, it took us nearly an hour to find Waldo Stadium.



I was unable to travel to Mount Pleasant's Central Michigan University (and also home of Soaring Eagle Casino), so we ended the trip at the College stadium closest to my house:

Olivet College's Cutler Event Center: Home of the Comets!



And so ends Bo's stay with me. We saw a lot and went through a lot together. Hopefully whoever has him next has as much fun (and less pain) as I did!

He was cheating on Bojean? I better not let her near the computer before that is off the page. I have a bucket of monkeys, that would be a ton of poo being flung around if they get mad.

I think Bo has a way of "getting around"... usually 1st class mail! Hopefully Bo arrives at his next destination soon :o)

Bo, where are you?

I see that it's been almost a month since Jester mailed Bo. What's happening? Has he been received at his next destination?

Due to the accident and my overall lack of organization, I lost the address to whom I was supposed've mailed Bo off to next. So, I mailed him back to Easy1. I messaged Easy1 and was told that Bo had arrived safely, and that he was to be mailed out in the next day's mail, which would have been Oct 24th.

Since that message, I have not seen or heard word from Easy1. I do not know if Bo was received by his next host, or if he was even mailed out at all. The lack of contact from Easy1 has me concerned. Easy1 has not responded to two seperate PM's from me.

I no longer have Easy1's sailmail addy, so I can't even send a post card.

At this point, I am beginning to think Bo2, may have met the same fate as Bo1.

Thanks for checking in. Since I missed one of your posts, I was beginning to fear that Bo was lost in your accident. Now I am fearing that something has happened to easy1

edit: hopefully easy1 and Bo are taking a holiday break.
