So, how much are the replacement filters, and is this better than the Brita pitcher I already have?

Cool, this will go great with that pod coffee maker I bought off of woot that no longer has a vendor for refills!

These are really good filter pitchers. We've had one for 2 years and it's quick to fill, not like the others that take for damn ever.

How easy is it to get replacement filters, and how expensive are they?

How good is the faucet connection? I know on some cheaper connections they leak.

Are these two separate package pitchers or two in the same box? If it's two separate packages, then it would make a few great cheap gifts.

Okay, definitely a weird woot.

Interestingly though, I was off to the store to buy one and they were out. Guess now I'll get two...

Thank God it gets the Hexachlorocyclopentadiene out. I was concerned!

Pass on these, and get yourself a Berkey Water Purification System. Do a google search if you want to know more.

So 88 refills, not bad. But how do you keep track of them? I would hate be on my 89th refill and not know it, you know...

The filters are easy to replace, just twist and pull out, reverse to place in. They don't cost that much either, on par with pur and sometimes cheaper.

Is the price of replacement filters in the same ballpark as the price as the bulk packs of Brita filters down at Costco? 'Cause if not...

While I don't have this particular brand, I would suggest these at this price as a gift for someone in an apartment or something where you don't have a fridge with a dispenser(or the hookups for it in the kitchen). This is less than half of what you'll pay per unit at a brick and mortar store(Target and various grocers have Brita filtration pitchers for around 20-25$ each)

So does the "intelligent filter indicator" actually intelligently indicate when the filter needs to be changed, or is it just a timer like the Brita?

dashard

quality posts: 1 Private Messages dashard

Yeah, but the Brita's really kind of suck, and the quality of the Brita pitcher itself is abysmal.

Can anyone comment n the quality of this pitcher itself? I'll presume the filtration's good...

Do I have to use the hose, or can I put water in through the top?

What happens if I run Coke through this? Seriously, anybody have any idea how long the connectors might last? The last one of these I had (different manfacturer) they were dinky and didn't last long.

Averaging around $8 or $9 on several sites. You can get them directly from the manufacturer with $2.22 shipping (SmartPost!!), but I'd go through Amazon for the free shipping. Just order a 3 pack.

By the time I finally am able to post this, this question will probably have been asked... but how does this compare with Britta pitchers and can it use the Britta filters?

Please do not increment my Quality Posts count. 69 is a good place to be. ;-)

Better question is, will it filter urine?

directive25

quality posts: 1 Private Messages directive25

You won't find this removes any Fluoride, but other systems like a Berkey water Purification System can remove fluoride.
