((resubmitting comment... site going up and down..))

Ok, all joking aside - this a great bundle.

Both units are new, not r.e.f.u.r.b.

The 510 is a great unit - nice engineering enhancements over the earlier models.

The Dirt Dog is a wonderful addition to the workshop - I run mine weekly and it does a great job. Even gets the fine sanding sawdust film off of the floor.

Great bundle, great price - you won't go wrong with this one.

Regards,

romwil

Now that's funny. I had friends that refered to Wheaton as Wheaton Vocational Tech. Of course, I graduated from Seneca Valley in the late 80's and everyone figured we'd all be farmers. No wait, that was Damascus/Poolesville.

Will the 510 work on a 400-series home-base charger?

I just bought the 400-series that was here yesterday to replace my defunct 400. Would consider dropping another $200 for the 500 if it will charge off my existing home base and gifting the new 400. Not sure watching the films I'd do with the DirtDog though...

Yeah, I iz poor, too... but if I had money, I'd totally be buyin' this. We just moved into a new place and the whole ground level has wood floors - with a dog and a cat, you know how much hair accumulates? 12 hours and there's these little fur bunnies hiding around every corner, jumpin' out to bite your slippers and strangle your toes!

Oh, well... at least we get a 3 day woot-off... maybe somebody else can spend all THEIR money and then the 3 of us can sit around and tell each other lies about how much we bought.

I've owned Roombas (all purchased from Woot) for about two years, and I've had nothing but good experiences with iRobot customer service. They covered all issues during the warranty periods (like most, I did have a few) and even once covered an issue for a unit that was a few days out of warranty.

I would recommend that anyone who purchases one buy the extended warranty IF it covers batteries. It does ride 'em hard and put them up wet, most batteries last less than a year.

iRobot wants a small fortune for replacements. Newegg (and probably others) sell knock-off replacements for half the iRobot price.

Quite the opposite - although generally Cust Serv at irobot refers you to online answers there's a reason - any problem I had was found to have a nicely explained solution on line.

I do wish the batteries had a longer life, but I'm still a Roomba enthusiast.

Sugar 'em up and send 'em home

There is a guy named Bob who has the Battle Bot trailer/stage and was one of the creators who lives in Catalina, AZ. He is too funny and the set is kinda cool, in a geeky/nerdy way.
He could make a roomba battle ready, no doubt!
