no such thing as an HD antenna. the one that comes with this will be fine.

I have a Palm Centro, which the opera site recognized. I downloaded and installed mini.opera.

When I try to run it, I get the error that I need to be sure I have the IBM Websphere Micro Environment Java VM installed.

A bit off-topic, but you do need the IBM Websphere environment installed on the Palm. I've got the Pre now, but have had 2 Treo's in the past and got that installed with no prob. You can still find it posted for free download on some sites, but not on IBM or Palm sites.

Ya, I was initially responding to the guy who said he had a Samsung flip phone. For the Palm Centro apparently you need to download something. Theres some discussions that come up when you Google "Palm Centro Opera"

Mine has not been shipped either...This was my first Woot ever. Is it me or does checking each day's woot item addictive. I find myself getting up at 12 to check what new item is up for woot.

Yeah, I'm not sure why I keep buying things on Woot. They take forever to process the order and weeks before it gets shipped and delivered. The guy above me was right, the prices aren't THAT good.

This was a great deal; check google shopping, the cheapest you can find it is $59.99. Also, keep in mind that is one of the largest, if not the the largest amount sold of a specific product on Woot!. About 27,000 of these tuners were sold, plus it's only been 2 business days since it was available.

is it possible with this device to record a dvd from a dvd player on to your pc?

Ya know....Woot took in roughly $585,654.06. Probably less since that is based on the hourly sales figures. And those aren't constant. But point is, I think maybe Woot could afford some seasonal help for the poor Joe's in the warehouse/shipping area. Just a thought.

So uh....yeah.....no.

Still no shipping for me either. I recently purchased some other items, and it's taken 9 days to receive them (from posting date to delivery date). If that holds true for this, then hopefully it'll arrive on Friday. But it's not looking good.

How exactly do you get this to work? Where do you put the order number and what do you put for the other part?

I love that I was charged on the 5th and still have no updated status, but I know woot will come through.

checked the reference # at Fed-ex and it says: "Shipment information sent to FedEx
Please check back later for shipment status or subscribe for e-mail notifications" This was back on the 6th, so I looks like it should actually ship today or tomorrow... 27,000 it a ridonculous amount to process.

I just tried the trick of using the order number as the reference # on Fedex.com and was able to pull up some info:

Since I'm new at wooting(?) I'm not sure where exactly I would find shipping info or status within my account page at Woot.com.

You will receive a tracking email when your order ships out. Orders will typically ship within 5 business days. This means the day you order does not count as day one, considering the sale will not end till midnight. Business days is defined as Monday - Friday, NOT including Saturday and Sunday. To check your order status, go to the Your Account tab at woot.com, log in and check your order history.

My god people settle down it clearly say orders ship in 5 bus.days and the 1st day dont count. So you bought it on the 4th the order dont start till the 5th and weekends are not bus.days so as of today the 9th it has only been 3 bus. days. Just give it time

You probably could but with a little bit of Google searching to find some tools ("rip dvd") you could use a DVD drive to get the movie in about 5-10 minutes instead of 2 hours playing it back...

Everyone...keep in mind the potential to backup old home movies before the format you recorded them on is lost. We had a great deal of 8mm home movies and a camcorder with a drive motor that failed (they don't sell these anymore). It costs around $25 per tape to have them professionally transferred and that is the bulk price. I will be backing up everything once this product arrives and moving the footage to an archive quality medium. This item can do that!
