hahahaha dude I know! My package is going to Houston and it will also take 6 days! I'm patient enough to wait for this but it is a little odd the it takes that long. Oh well what can you do? I'll still buy from woot cuz they have amazing deals!

You people really need to settle down. It specifically says when you order the item that it will take up to 5 business days to process the order. It was on woot on Wednesday the 4th so I will count it down for you! 1st day Thursday 2nd day Friday 3rd day Monday 4th day Tuesday and 5th day Wednesday. You people have been complaining for days and today is finally the 5th day and from what I can see almost all the orders have been processed and are getting processed as of today. So just chill and if this gets you this upset maybe its time to "Check Yourself"!!

No matter how you count it today is the last chance to ship in 5 days I sure hope I hear something today.

I'm really looking forward to playing with this thing.

Well, I'm in Dallas (8 miles from Woot's location in Carrollton according to Google maps) and it says it will take 3 days. I'm guessing that is a worst case scenario and more of a generic delivery estimate. We'll see though.

My first woot, so I am excited to get it and am quite happy with the price. Perhaps we'll see a directional UHF/VHF antenea for HDTV show up soon ...

I'm fine with 5 days to process an order. And I HAVE Wooted before. What I'm not fine with is this crazy shipping methodology. I create and ship my company's software to all over the world all day long sometimes. I know what you can get for $5. Trust me, this is the worst choice possible.

I love Woot! and I'm sure I will Woot! again....but c'mon....12 days? Seriously?

Quite to the contrary. All shipping companies process and distribute 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year (except on leap years, then it's 366 days) including Christmas, Thanksgiving, and even Veteran's Day. While the USPS does not deliver today (I'm not sure about FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.), all of their distribution and processing hubs will still be operating. This only makes sense: imagine if every shipping facility shut down for all holidays; it would be utter chaos!!!

For those of you that the "trick" didn't work for. I just got an email from woot with my fedex tracking number it shipped yesterday and my woot order number still doesn't show on fedex.Mine should be here on monday.

In Woot's defense, I've ordered products online before where they say the estimated arrival time will be at a given time, but the product shows up a day or two earlier.

Heck, I ordered something from Nike.com, and it said I would get the product this Friday...I got it on Monday.

You know, all the complaining that I've seen about the shipping status, I got my info today (five BUSINESS days from my order date). I'm quite happy with everything so far. As I've seen in previous posts, you order what you want from woot! not what you need. It's not the end of the world if I don't get my gadget immediately. It looked cool when I ordered it, I think the anticipation of something new to play with is more exciting than the fretting of "when's it gonna be here?"

Not sure who to be annoyed with; Woot or Fed Ex. 6 days to send something from Dallas to San Antonio?! Regular mail with a stamp is 2-3 days. Hopefully it will be quicker. I just noticed if it is defective I woulod have to pay to ship it back... So woot takes a week to send it, a week in transit and then if it were defective I would have to pay out of pocket? Not sure if I am liking Woot's policies. They don't seem very customer service oriented.

Wow, I WORK in Carrollton. Maybe I could have just picked mine up!! Will have to check it out. In fact, I think I have seen "Woot" on a building around here somewhere, didn't know what it was at the time.
Regardless, I have no problem waiting for something at such a good price. We have all gotten so used to such a fast-paced lifestyle, we want our toys NOW! I just try to forget about it. Then I get a happy surprise one day on my porch!

Naturally, but I'm pretty sure none of the orders went out soon enough to arrive at anyone's destinations today.

You kids have no patient. First off they had to process 2700 orders for this Tv tuner card, So its going to take time. Besides all orders processed within given 5 business days time. You can go to a store and pay $60 - $80 and dont have to wait. They have cheap prices for a reason. LESS MAN POWER; and as far as fed-ex smart post if they spend $5 on each shipping they basically make no money. that is why they have an business shipping contract in place with fed-ex. Everyone is complaining about long shipping rather than talking about the good price they paid for the item. Bottom line if u can't wait for your order to be processed dont buy from woot and go to a store and pay full price.

A quick note for all you having trouble with using the order # as an alternate tracking. I had trouble as well until I entered the Country (United States) AND Zip Code. Just using order # didn't work. Just using Order # & Zip Code didn't work. When I entered Order # (second box), Country, & Zip Code it worked great.

keep in mind a woot staff member came on and actually answered some of our concerns, and was very upfront about the topic of shipping.

While I still find it hard to understand how the emails could be so delayed, even with the recent woot off, I was just pleased to have gotten their attention, and something more than just a canned response.

You can build an excellent HD antenna from a piece of pipe, a few coat hangers ansd a piece of wood. Go to this site - it will take up some of the wait time too! There is a video on the build and a link to a PDF instruction set.

Enjoy!

Where the heck did all these one and two time wooters come from? I love the wisdom of woot shipping that they are bestowing upon everyone. Hey guess what....if it bothers you to read the posts of people complaining about shipping, then stay the hell off the thread. It's that easy. No one wants your chastising. Go away, go back to your perfect happy world of flawless shipping.

I got a pinnacle tuner from woot about a year ago and from what I see it is pretty similar and I have to turn of the booster when using the antenna it comes with to prevent the overdrive or whatever, so I doubt you would even need a better antenna.

Way back in the 80's when I was a kid. We would see what we wanted in an ad in the back of the comic book. We would beg our parents to write a check and then we would mail out the form which we had to fill out with a pen.

4 to 6 weeks later (if we were lucky) the junky item would arrive.

Now people are bitchin that it takes two weeks for the junky item to arrive.

Progress.

haha according to FedEx it took exactly 5 minutes to go from Houston to Dallas.

Odd I just realized after shipping the item is now appx 100 miles further away lol.

It seems FedEx can do some pretty crazy things. For example, I found out that they could time travel. Please refer to my tracking log for explanation:

Nov. 11, 2009
03:26 AM Departed FedEx location DALLAS, TX
Nov. 12, 2009
12:12 AM Arrived at FedEx location KANSAS CITY, KS
Nov. 11, 2009
11:50 AM Departed FedEx location KANSAS CITY, KS

Weird...

LOL- I love watching FedEx shipping info. It seems to be so inefficient at times.

Mine went from Dallas to KC. I live in Tulsa, so they should have just thrown it out the window as they flew over.

Nov 14, 2009

It ARRIVED this morning to my home here in houston.

Confirmed working with windows 7 in media center.

At first when you plug it in it will say driver not found. So slap the CD in and open up [CDROM] install/vista/packages/drivers/wdm/tvw_HSUSB/setup.exe and then when finished you can configure it in windows media center, remote works too.

Does the receiver to the remove work off the usb device itself? I'm trying to figure out ways to mount in to the rear usb but still be able to use my remove.

I got mine today. It works fine with cable. Has anyone had any luck picking up stations with the included antenna? I couldn't get any. I don't know if it's a weak antenna or just a lack of a signal where I live.
