Please enlighten the rest of us as to why woot is selling it then. Surelly you wouldn't be trying to imply that woot only sells junk? Just because some people find faults in a product should not result in negitive views towards the 3rd party seller. Woot didn't make the product, they only sell It to you at a discount based on the price they pay. If you don't like woot, then why woot?

Avoid it. Sounds like you will here the plastic base break as you pull it from the box. How good is Woot taking back broken items.

I'm holding out for an iPod compatible leaf blower.

They're coming out with a new model that has a base like the new imac has called the iHL15 in 2010.

In reply to all the questions about alarm clock...my iPod touch will always do the alarm "in the background" so to speak...it'll go off no matter what, as long as you have the volume on. I have it on a dock and it works just fine. The screen doesn't have to stay on. I guess I don't know if this is different for the phones, however. I sure love my touch!

90% of these are broken out of the box. There's a reason why these retail for over 100 and have been cut down so drastically.

They have had problems selling bad products before. A large number of forum posters end up returning/exchanging the bad products.

All the reviews for this model "iHL10" - talk about a problem with a very flimsy arm/base.

This is the worst reviews of any product I've ever read since the Bose products of 7 years ago. Every single buyer reports one thing and one thing only: it takes fewer than 2 weeks for the darn thing to break off. I was so tempted to buy two.

I will never buy halogen lamp again. All that I bought needed new bulb within a month or two. Those bulbs cost >$5. stay away from this.

bought 1 of these some time ago at lowe's it was clearanced at 35, but original price was 50. So it's a good deal, worked for what I needed to sit at the desk and listen to my iPod, QUIETLY. Anything louder sounds awful!

the touch is great, though i've tried charging it with an old ipod charger and it doesn't work. do you know if it'll work with this lamp?

Brilliant! though the question is, will you be giving them to people you love or loathe?

guys they are showing 2 iphones sitting in the docks, so yes obviously its iphone compatible. the question i have is will my phone fit in the doc with my RebelSerpant case still on it? looks like it fits ok with whatever case they have on it.

Because they want nothing to do with them anymore! After all the returns and problems listed on Amazon (and how many other returns to retailers who were selling them?), they dumped the remaining stock just to get them out of the warehouse.

I would say that if you would pay this for a charging base with a so-so speaker, then it's a good deal for you. If you are depending on using this for a desk lamp, I would pass.

i think they changed the connector voltage during one of the iPhone revisions, so old chargers no longer work.

How come when I searched the product elsewhere on the internet there was no mention of only supporting 4G Ipods and newer. Everywhere else, for example Amazon, have it labeled as universal Ipods 30, 60, mini, nano.

Then you do something wrong.
I've had a nightstand halogen light for 10 years or so, and had to change the bulb once.

Really ugly design, minimal consideration to aesthetics and usability. Very overdone and unrefined.
