Here are the three Amazon Customer Reviews...
====================================
!!BRING SOMETHING BETTER TO THE PLATE!!, April 5, 2004
Reviewer: JSmoove (Dayton, OH USA)
Don't waste your time checking this out. This is truly a horrible buy, take my word. The sound is horrible. It sounds like someone put a metal box around it so you can't hear it well. Plus they charge too much for it. On my part, bring something better please.
====================================
Good sound for the price!, December 24, 2003
Reviewer: Burnis W Neff (Silver Spring, Maryland United States)
Don?t break or lose the remote controller.
It?s the only way you can adjust the front, back and side speakers.
You can control the volume on the subwoofer and turn on/off the master switch on the back. But you can only do serious adjusting with the remote, which has very small buttons. Other than that it?s a great sounding system for this price range.
====================================
Great product, bad deal, November 12, 2003
Reviewer: Steve Brownell (South Bend, IN United States)
I recently bought these speakers for a finished attic with a nice tv. I intended to use these for gaming and they were of the best quality you could expect. The sound was quite impressive. I was depressed though, when I found out that I could of gotten these speakers much cheaper. I paid $190 and I thought they were a great deal but then I found that you can get these for only $130!!! If you need relief from the mediocre TV speakers you are currently using, get these.

Another Monster Cable product? Based on how they do their marketing, there's bound to be a system just as good as this one out there with a better price, maybe better than woot's.

Next.

I believe the correct spelling is KrismaKwanzikah. (Or is it KwanzaCrismakah? Or ChanuKwanzamas?)

The "I want one" bounces when a product is almost sold out. But if you still have the bouncing one in cache, it might show up briefly at other times.

Kudos to the Wootleteriate for an entertaining and honest description. I agree, these are virtually worthless for use with a 5.1 sound card, DVD player or digital cable box. I suppose they're fine to use with your XBox or PS2 but I'm not a huge gamer. Even if I was interested, I wouldn't buy these from Monster on principle. Talk about a company full of aholes that base their marketing philosophy on the premise that people, in general, are stupid and gullible. No thanks, there are plenty of other speaker manufacturers with better products, better prices and better business practices.

Check this out: http://www.shentech.com/mogaxgss51su.html

The ones on this website aren't blue. . . they're more Yellow (and they're the cheapest I saw outside of WOOT $89). . . Here is an excerpt of the description (that sounds like they somehow really must be true 5.1):

 False advertising? wrote:
Immerse yourself in the full force of 130 watts for gaming as you've never felt it before. Designed specifically for PS2 and X-Box, the SSGS-500's five satellite speakers and dedicated subwoofer engulf a gamer in sound that overwhelms the senses. Hear every bone crack. Feel every explosion. Experience every wipeout. The powerful, ported subwoofer delivers deep bass audio effects so real you'll swear you've been bruised. And discrete, Dolby Digital-ready, five-speaker surround sound provides the winning edge, because you hear footsteps behind you--or slithering above.

Are these completely different from the blue ones? How are you going to hear footsteps behind you unless it's 5.1? Or are they misleading by saying you'll hear them behind you, when they mean you'll hear them EVERYWHERE? And if that's the case, why do they say "DOLBY DIGITAL-READY?"

Something else I learned from this website:

 False advertising? wrote:
Five satellites with two drivers each offer a better frequency response and greater sense of realism than do single-driver satellites. The speakers receive 10 watts maximum each and they're magnetically shielded, so you can safely put them on or near your computer monitor or television. The 80-watt subwoofer boasts a 6.5-inch long-throw driver housed in a bass-enhancing ported wood cabinet.

ONLY 10 WATTS to the Satellite speakers?!?! Talk about WEAK!!! This things specs seem to be very misleading...a very disgusting use of advertising "FRAUD" without being technically illegal because it's only misleading and not "lying"...

Newton's laws of motion give us a complete description of the behavior moving objects at low speeds. The laws are different at speeds reached by the particles at SLAC.

Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity describes the motion of particles moving at close to the speed of light.

Anyone else noticing that these Are Not True 5.1 Speakers?

Glad I read the description before clicking the "Want one" button.

They take a stero signal and spread it accross 5.1 speakers. No support for Dolby Digital, Prologic, Prologic II, etc. :(

That is the ONLY thing keeping me from getting these speakers. If it had seperate front and rear inputs, or a Digital input, then I could connect them to my SB Live and REALLY have a blast!

I have enough Stereo Speakers around the house. I need some Sourround Sound ones... Oh well.. I'll wait.
