and no-one is laughing at you behind your back.

I have turned over a new leaf since I found it best to just take everyone at face value anyway. You want to tell me you're Donald Trump in disguise, that's great, Mr Trump. How about fixing me up a free room in one of your hotels for a couple of weeks? Oh, you're Elvis? so, where ya been, old man? Meet me at Graceland.

Yes, trivial.

I am just not comfortable with m.wiseman. And I don't have to be. I haven't spoken a lot to him/her in the past, that is not likely to change. Sorry. If everyone else wants to be friendly with him/her, that's great. I don't find him/her to be genuine or sincere. Joke is over.

So, I have found 2 jobs at NIH I can apply for. Unfortunately, I have no experience with HIV or AIDS, but I do know about the immune response to pathogens, so I can write a decent application to that one. the other application requirements are VERY general in nature, although the job itself appears to have duties for which I have no experience, but they are not asking for that experience. I suspec this job may have been difficult to fill.

I'm over it, but then again I'm not the one you were trying to fool.
Hubby's family loves to lie about stuff just to see if they can. I'm use to it, no kid in the family believes anything they are told from when they are 4 years old! Especially when they get together.
So I really do understand that it was just in fun.

AZG, one more thing...maybe you can or cannot answer...this isn't as bad as the last question. Atleast, a bit more intelligent.

I am picking up 2 font CDs today.

On a PC, do you know how many fonts can be stored in the font folder in the Windows folder without having performance problems?

When I used to work on a Mac, in the past, they use to use a utility program called Suitcase or ATM to help manage fonts.

I am going to be doing a direct dump into the font folder.

I'm getting bored with my fonts, but need to keep them on the system because I have "legacy" files that may need them if I need to call them up again. I don't feel like picking or weeding through the fonts. I just want to dump them. I just don't know what my limit is.

Right now I have....890 fonts in my folder. But that includes normal, bolds, obliques, etc...

I shouldn't think there would be any restriction and I doubt it would affect performance to any noticeable degree, especially on a relatively new 'puter.

In my experience, those font suppliers usually have their own install program, because in Windows, the fonts have to be in the registry. You do have a limit, at least it tells you that you have one, but it seems to ignore that limit.

I just did this in installation of Corel Draw on my newer computer.

Why are you guys apologizing for a joke that everyone else got?
If one person thinks it isn't funny, who cares?
Why do we give a damn?
Why should we curb our joy to accommodate someone who would absolutely not do the same in return?

The apology was to KT and me.
I understand what was going on now, and I truely hope nobody leaves because of it.
Honest, I wouldn't have been so mad if it was in real life, I would have figured it out long before I did here. I married someone who loves to do that, I worked with people who did it, and I've joined in.
I just thought it really hurt KT when we thought it was real.
Josephus, forget about it. I know you were fooling around and didn't realize how we were taking it.
and we email or pm the picture, I don't really know why, but you might want to take it down later today
wiseman I accept your apology, for all I know you are my brother in law and I don't know it

Because everyone knows that the "SITM" is generally a good, supportive & well-intentioned person. (Except for the "toe" incident with AZG, which I quickly rectified. And the three weeks that I have been posing to be "kingsteel," which was harmless. And maybe this one time this past week where I pretended to be "Josefuss." I would have given Josephus the proceeds for any winnings, truly. Unless it were a monkey. Then I would have kept it for myself.) I am not a good liar. In relatively short periods of time, I fess up to any wrong-doings or monkey business.

My intention is never cruel. That is the difference.

I met my husband when you were a toddler, I really never knew guys who lied for the fun of it before him. Had a few at work. I do not think they would have done it if they knew how upset it made us.

Whoa!

Please calm down. I apologize for upsetting you.

You seem to be taking this very personally, Crow. I truly can't fathom why.

Why do you have such an interest in my banters with mnementh? Unless you are mnementh or me, I see no reason to concern yourself with such details. I suspect Mnementh knows why I jab at him and I know why he jabs at me.

As for m.wiseman, I didn't know much about him/her until recently. What I knew of him/her whas that he/she entered photoshop contests. He/she never came into misfits/malcontents until very recently.

I am not going to ask what I perceive to be a silly technical question to someone I hardly know (a.k.a. m.wiseman). I felt more comfortable speaking with AZG about my particular issue.

Perhaps, I didn't want to broadcast my own ignorance about something so simple?

If that equates the need for therapy, then, by all means, sign me up.
