Its pricey, but you'll never buy a vacuum again. I have an old kirby i fixed up from 1983. Works better than all the others ive used

I have to agree here. We bought our Kirby new, which was crazy and cost a bomb, but it's superior to every other vacuum we've ever owned. It also WEIGHS a bomb, which is tough in a three-story house, so it lives downstairs most of the time (rec room, doors straight to outside, easily the dirtiest rooms in the house) and we have a secondary vac and Roomba for upstairs.

Still, when it needs to be CLEAN, you can bet i haul that giant bugger right up the stairs. There's absolutely no substitute for the Kirby.

I've been with it since the first hour, bar sleeping; it's been awfully long. I keep seeing stuff like the shocking cellphones and chevy lamps roll out and thinking it's got to be over soon, but nothing yet.

This is also the fewest items i've ever bought in a wootoff. The other vacuum that was up, and the little vornado zippi fan, and that's been it. Everything else has ether been not particularly useful, or too expensive for what it is.

Still, pretty decent wootoff, just running a bit long/pricey.

paranormalboyli wrote:not a bad price for a dyson. unfortunately, dysons are terrible if you live anywhere outside of canada. They break down frequently, and parts to repair them arent sold in the US. You have to ship it to Canada to fix it. sure theyll pay for it if it loses suction, but the cost of shipping is on you. This belongs in a Band of Clowns, and would be the first thing you give away. Next!

Sounds like someone has never actually owned a Dyson... o.O I have the DC17 All Floor, and have had it for about 5 years, and it's never had a single problem. Other friends have had theirs longer without problems, in fact their good fortune is what eventually lead to my purchase. Dyson is awsome, especially compared to other bagless. Yes, just about every peice of Dyson vacuums are plastic, but that makes them a tad lighter, and easier to manage, and nothing on mine has ever broken or even acted like it was going to break; it's not the type of plastic you feel like you have to be careful with.

It isn't the greatest for throw rugs, however, because the suction is great, and the beater bar will get caught on it, though Dyson has emplemented a clutch that will keep the belt from burning up when this happens...I just shake the rugs out on the floor before vacuuming, and then turn off the beater bar to vacuum it.

These things rarely clog, and if they do you probably shouldn't have sucked up whatever clogged it in the first place, and they're easy to unclog, because just about every elbow in the thing comes off easily, and I've never noticed it's emitting dust from the seals, either.

Not in my experience. Bought an upright from Woot that arrived slightly damaged. Called Dyson, and spoke with a pleasant rep who informed me of the nearest locations to take the vacuum cleaner in for repair. They didn't pay for the gasoline to and from the repair center, but the repair was under warranty. Repair was done quickly, and under warranty.

i think you need to change the deals.woot icon to another color. its the same color as woot.com so it is very confusing in my bookmark toolbar. thank you. if this does not get changed i will tell keving G. and he will lay a wrath upon thee , that you have never seen!!! or well, actually he wont do anything, just never had the opportunity to write that before and thought i would amuse myself on no sleep after 3 days of wooting!!

We can Woot if you want to, we can leave your friends behind, because your friends don't Woot and if they don't Woot, well there, no friends of mine.

Great suction and cool design BUT that's where it ENDS.
Very quirky to use. The hose does not pivot so it's
constantly twisted and really irritating to unwind.
The attachments don't click into the vac. They're
just pushed into the end of the wand and move all
around when trying to use. I like things to work
properly too Mr. Dyson BUT this one doesn't!
(I've owned this unit for 3 years)

"I keep...thinking...I missed...the Brooch Of Canapes, but the Off is still on."

"the Off is still on"?

English, please?

Is that like an Off indicator on some w00t!-watching appliance or site, or has my imagination totally failed me? (Use the Woot Watcher Firefox add-in myself, which is only semi-cancellation.)

Thanks for an answer; extra thanks for not making fun of my cluelessness.

As with all Dyson vacuums, stay away. Cheap quality materials. Very poor design. Too many areas where gaskets are supposed to seal cheap plastic parts. Big waste of money. Dyson go home!

pissed cause he can't afford a $500 vacuum? Dyson are fabulous, will out suck ANYTHING. and why complain about the parts, they have a WARRANTY above others
