bardofawen wrote:Do you now how do drag files from one directory to another? It's that easy.

On a Windows machine:

1. Open "My Computer" in the start menu.
2. Double-click on SanDisk Sansa drive.
3. Double click on Music directory.
4. Find the directory on your computer that has your music in it. (If you don't know where that is, you can run a search for music files on your computer from the start menu).
5. Highlight the music that you want to put on your MP3 player and then drag it to the Sansa music directory.
6. Enjoy!

Thanks for your 2 comments. I put them on a WORD file which I'll definitely use. I got two of these, one for my niece to use to record lectures in college. Bev

Oh, this should be fun. I got three different FedEx tracking numbers (although all three have the same reference number (Woot order #). They all have different weights and statuses, so it will be interesting to see all three weave their way around the country and magically merge into one box on Dec 9. Well, one says that it'll be here by Dec 8, but majority rule says the 9th.

It's been quite a while since I last ordered. I'm glad to see nothing has changed with SmartPost. Hail the status quo!

I agree. I ordered two, and today I received two different tracking numbers three times!

Someone has my extra tracking number!! :D

(Well, at least, Woot! is getting the tracking numbers out BEFORE the package arrives!)

lol - I ordered 3, got 9 tracking confirmations yesterday, received one player today. One of the remaining two is still in Texas and the other hasn't shipped yet.

Btw, to the O M G-not-a-refurb! crowd - I have had more than enough experience in business to know the vast, Vast, VAST majority of refurbs aren't refurbs at all.

They are usually overstock that the mfg doesn't want to try to unload at a huge drop in profit AND support for the next year under warranty ;). -There are a few exceptions here and there, of course but Sansa isn't one of them.

I must have gone through 6 or 7 of these (give them away, or lose them) and, except when hooked upto a computer while re-formatting the computer, I have never had any issue with them. Oh, don't leave them hooked to a computer while you are re-formatting the computer!

These work great, and are TINY. Like, 1 inch wide, 1.5 inches high, and about 1/4 inch thick. (Except for the removable clip.)

Since I don't like earbuds, I've never used them. They work just fine with normal earphones.

I've got 1 right now, so I'm waiting on my 3 back-ups.

This is a piece of junk. The FM recorder will only pick up one station. There are not any included instructions. My first experience wiht Woot was okay, this one is the worst online purchase ever. I will be returning it and if I have difficulty I will file a BBB complaint.

What's With SlowPost ???

My first Clip order came in about 9-10 days.
Now Fed Ex ships these from Dallas 12/2 AM and small-town SW Michigan USPS puts them in my mailbox 12/5.

Who we gonna complain about now? The Woot repartee is definitely going to take a hit.
I feel I should wait a week to even open it.

Take a deep breath; these are little jewels with great sound and lots of features.
The headphone wire is the antenna so stretch it out a little or move the clip to another pocket.
The manual is here: http://mp3support.sandisk.com/sansa/UserManual/CLIP/CLIP_UM_English.pdf

There's a whole Clip community here: http://forums.sandisk.com/sansa/board?board.id=clip

I ordered one for my Ex, no less, and a back-up for myself; shoulda gotten a blue one too! Of course, there's always this week

Did you have any ear thingies plugged in? The antenna on all of these tiny FM/MP3 players is the earphone or earbud wire. Which means, you gotta plug in an ear thingie for the radio to recieve. (And, if it ain't recievin,' it ain't recordin' nothin'.)

I've received ONE of the three I ordered, and the three tracking numbers I got.

Who was in charge of shipping these? You may want to look into the kickbacks or "benefits" they are getting from the shipping company. It is ridiculous to put this thing in a box that is 48 times larger than the package and include only one in each box.

I got a dud It will recognize by the computer and left it on the computer all day, tried multiple comps , multiple usb ports, tried plugging directly into the back of my motherboard, it still won't hold a charge. My battery in my refurb is completely shot and will not hold a seconds wort of a charge. It shuts down immediately after i take the plug out.

Insert another sad face. This was supposed to be a little present for my gf.

Similar to the post above me, mine leaps into the vacuum as well.

Worked great for 5 min, put some music on it, listened to half a song and it died.

Was easy as heck to use to start off, plugged it in, dragged and dropped, worked great!

Wanted to put more music on it, plugged it back in. Now it isnt recognized and wont connect or whatever. and it wont turn on

fml. screw woot, 2 faulty p.o.s from this site. what a joke.

I had some luck with doing this. Put the button on hold and hold down the select button, the middle circle button while you plug it into your computer (hold until it shows up on your computer 5-10 seconds?) and that will help it recognize long enough to hold a charge and switch the USB mode to MTP mode instead of auto.

Here is a link if you need help.

I think the hold + select button

Thanks for your help on this. I really want this to work. I had tried the hold + select button already with no success. So, I tried holding them longer while plugging in. But, the device is still not being recognized. ;(

Make sure to use a full power usb port like one in the back of the motherboard not on the front of your case if you can. Follow that link i provided in my above post it might help.

Mine arrived yesterday and although the posts reporting problems had me worried, it is working fine. It took about an hour to charge on a front-panel USB port; I'm guessing (because the manual didn't say) that when the battery icon stops flashing it is completely charged. The feature that sold me on this player is its ability to remember where it left off when you pause before powering down. It's great for audiobooks and podcasts.

I LOVE MY SANSA CLIP!
Thanks for the link to the manual PDF. When Charging the battery it appears to turn off the yellow charge icon while on the usb when the charge is full. Headphones are ok. I LOVE MY SANSA CLIP! My husband also got (3) for the kids and they charged fine too - these are going to be fantastic stocking stuffers.
THANK YOU WOOT!!
