Me too. The link:

Pretty good deal, I think. I assume this is good until sold out?

on edit: the battery is about $28-29 alone on line, plus shipping. So you are getting the other items basically free of charge with this deal.

The link to the Accessory Pack is now showing Sold Out. That was quick.

The Sales Snap Shot shows that 650 were sold.

The Accessory Pack showed up this afternoon. Woot shipped it Two Day Air, as just a normal order. That is impressive.

Buyer beware. Woot cust service won't let me return this POS GPS, and I stupidly bought the accessory pack too. Woot gives me the catch-22: Bushnell has the warranty, we can't take defective products back.

If you're interested, I'll buy the accessory pack from you for what you paid +5$ shipping.

BruceH49 wrote:You most likely have a Gen 1. Go to the Settings menu, then select Unit Info. Look for the line titled Application to find out your current firmware version. Mine is 3.0.2613.8207. This is the most current Gen 1 firmware.

Now, go to the Bushnell GPS Software Update web page. Click on the Onix 400 tab, then scroll down to the GPS Unit Firmware section. The first section if for Gen 1 and the second is for Gen 2. Download the two unit update instuctions (one for each Gen). The Gen 1 instructions show the 3.0.2613.8207 firmware as the most current firmware for Gen 1, so if yours is this value or lower, then you are at Gen 1.

The Gen 2 instructions say that if you are at 3.0.2613.8207, then you can apply the Gen 2 update to bring your unit to 3.0.3205.5754.

What I conclude from the instructions is that if you have Gen 1 firmware, you can ugrade your unit to Gen 2 by bringing your unit up to the most current Gen 1 firmware (if not already there), then load the Gen 2 firmware.

If you update to Gen 2, then download the Gen 2 manual from the Manuals page. The most obvious difference that I noticed is that Gen 2 added a new main menu item called Almanac. This is the "Solunar Edge Technology" that trys to predict the best hunting and fishing times.

I had the gen 1 model and was unable to get to this additional section for the gen 2 firmware. After a search I used this link to enter the bushnell website and then I was able to see the additional firmware.

I just got one of these in my bagel or crepe, but it is just the unit, no battery/cables/etc... Anyone that bought 1,2,or 3 of the acc packs willing to part with one, let me know! THANKS!

So they just provided you a unit with no battery attached, the back end wide open? That was not nice!

However, as of this AM Adorama dot Com lists a battery for 20 bucks and a 12 Volt Onix 350/400 power adaptor cable for 8 bucks. You can then go to a place like Meritline or AntOnline and purchase an AC to 12 Volt socket adaptor for the 12 volt power adaptor. On the Adorama site, enter "Bushnell Onix" in the search box to get a list of the few remaining Onix accessories.

I have not seen anyone selling cases. You may find one on ebay eventually.

I suggest you order it asap because they may not be around for long. This appears to be a discontinued product line.

You will probably have better luck on getting answers to any Onix questions at this point by posting them on the Onix Yahoo group. I doubt that this thread gets many hits anymore.

I have been trying all day (it's mother's day by the way) to take my kids out geocaching with this stupid thing!!! It has already "lost 5$ in credits towards maps, not including the 4 free maps that supposedly came with it. I am ready to take a hammer to it. What a sucky waste of today, and a bummer all the way around. *sniff, sniff*

Looking back over the years at all of the things we have boughten from Woot!.. Only a few are still in working order/condition. But When's the harvest!!! It's not really about the quality now is it!!????!! LOL
Wife and Kids makes 6 =)

If you're referring to the item this forum is for, it's no longer being sold.

If you're referring to today's item, you can email us- service@woot.com asking to add one to your order.
