buy one of these and the camera on sellout and you can make it look like you searched for months to get matching electronics.

This is a great price especially if you get three. I got the camp rock one last year as a cheap mp3 tryout for my then-eight year old DD from BestBuy the week before xmas for $9.99. The best part was, I also found a REALLY COOL drop in charger/speaker stand that cost about 30 bucks (i think?). It was easier to figure out and load than the mp3 on my phone, that I do know. And to answer the skin question, no it's not a sticker, it is molded on. I'm a total JoHo, so I would go for the Jonas Bros black one for myself, screw waiting around for the ephemeral Sansa. Just sayin.

oops, pardon me, i wooted

Only problem is the only cameras left on sellout is the High School Musical, Hannah Montana, & Hannah Montana/Flower random one.

My too cool for Disney 13 year old daughter would kill me if she got this for Christmas. Apparently Hannah Montana went from "totally cool" to "totally most excellent" when 7th grade started.

Hmmm...that could make for an interesting Christmas video...

Edit: HAHA, the woot word replacement for the actual word I used that rhymes with hay is so funny

These along with matching camera from sellout.woot wraps up Christmas pretty nicely for my pre-teen nieces.

I ordered the Pink Hannah Montana and Gold Hannah Montana mp3 players. And 3 of the Random Hannah/Flower one.

Jonas Brothers would've been nice for the older girl if it wasn't black. It looks made for a boy, but what boy likes the JoBros?

This is a nice little thing. However, I really hate the program that came with it, so I made it so that I can easily add and drop directly into the files within My Computer.

I don't like the side buttons though, it's really difficult to turn it on (though, turning it of is much easier).Same thing with the volume controls.

I got this because I wanted a cheap mp3 player for my travels, I had to buy the High School musical, which I don't like, so I promptly used my artistic side and painted it over with red paint.

Seventeen shirts and counting

I'm in for two, aluminum. Getting one for my four year old for our upcoming international flight, will load it with Wiggles and hope for hours of quiet. And I got two, so when she dips that one in soda or drops it in the airplane lavatory, we'll have one for the way home.

honestly, save your money

I know everyone here has really talked them up, but my nieces are 4, 6 & 10 & even the 4 year old doesn't like the ones we have.

They are very frustrating to try to use if you have more than 2 songs on them. I tried to help the girls find their favorite songs & ended up just randomly clicking buttons trying to get something to work on it.

Please don't get these for anyone over the age of 7, especially if it's not their first mp3 player.

We paid $50 each for these about 4 years ago & they have been passed down from kid to kid & now they've gone in the trash because no one wants anything to do with them.

They do come with an SD slot...not sure how big of an SD you could use with it, but there is really no point doing that unless you want to put an audio book file on it or something.

just cause you had a bad experience with them doesn't mean other people will. I just got this for my 5 year old niece.

I'm also curious about shipping before Xmas.

These would be most excellent for my little cousins, and I'll happily preload some of the HSM music for them. Then I'll let my uncle deal with all the scaffolding when they break, like a true cool cousin does.

also- those mix clips look really expensive...

I reject ALL packages without padding on all SIX box surfaces. I expect my new item to arrive in new condition.

Dear Mac and Linux guys,

One way or another, EVERYTHING is compatible with Mac and Linux.
99% of cameras, MP3 players, flash drives, and virtually any other external USB storage device will show up as 'removable media', meaning that you can browse, copy, and delete the files on the connected device as if it was a folder.
The rare 1% of devices that are strictly for Windows usually contains some kind of Windows only software that needs to be installed, you won't see that in these cameras. This 1% (rough estimate) of Windows only stuff can still be used on a Mac or a Linux via www.winehq.org

There's some sweet satisfaction to the idea of listening to heavy metal from a Hannah Montana mp3 player that definitely makes me tempted to buy this... or it might end up being a stocking stuffer for my little sister.

Great stocking stuffers. In for 3. Woot, remember when you offer thing like these during Christmas time, please send ASAP as they will most likely be for presents. Either that or the buy rate will drop as folks think they cannot get it in time

Just my experience...I bought one for my daughter. Didn't work out of the box. Returned it for another. Worked for about a month and wouldn't charge. I would not recommend.

quality posts: 1 Private Messages katieburnette

I also had problems with these....we bought these for our 4 and 6 year olds last year for Christmas and ended up having to return them both within 3 or 4 days...they both would freeze up and just quit playing....The orange High School Musical one was worse than the Hannah Montana one but they both just quit working. BUT I paid $30 for them and I would be tempted to pay $7 for them as gifts for others.....

Not if you have a USB charger.
