It says built in microphone... can this be used as a recording device?

What he said.

It's perfect for jogging/gym when your typical Apple device is too bulky.

Sansa mp3 players are really great. I have one of the higher-capacity clips, and it works fine. Nice if you need a cheap mp3 player, and even if you miss this they're fairly inexpensive.

Since my old 20GB iPod got stolen, this will do as a fill in until I can afford a bigger device.

I got one of these for my 3 year old. Load it up with sesame street, imagination movers and the like hours of fun and does take a beating. Not to expensive to replace if he does eventually destroy it.

Neat item. I bought one last time, since my Zune is too big to jog with. This little dude clips to your shirt/belt and is easy to control when the need to skip a song comes along. (I'm talking about the Sansa; not the little dude)

I got one of these a while back. It is small and light. The radio gets good reception. The battery last me a few days of off-and-on use at work. I connect it to my Ubutnu laptop and am able to drag and drop music files to it easily. It is really nice to actually have a screen to see what you are playing and what you have available. Mine was refurbished and didn't come with any instructions but I didn't need them. This thing is easy to use, just play with it for a little while.

I got some of these a month or so ago. The FM radio works a whole lot better than the old Sansas. Much better reception.

Works great at the gym. Clips on and stays put. Sounds great with the Maximo headphones.... are they next?

JUNK!!! The 2 I purchased both tanked in less than 4mo. I strongly suggest to Google search "sansa clip lockup" before you get sucked into buying. (My Sansa e230 works great though)

That means I'll get about 6 for x-mas this year....

Plus these are refurbs...every refurb I've ever bought had someone else's music already loaded onto it, and it WASN'T anything I wanted to hear. Now, if they were five bucks...

In for 3.

I've bought these on the last 2-3 wootoffs - they are great for running/exercising; never had a problem with the clip like others here.

The transfer process is smooth and painless; using Windows Media Player, it takes mere minutes to sync and there's little to no DRM garbage to deal with, or iTunes frustration.

The battery life is excellent - I've left the device off for several days to 2-3 weeks and it still has a significant amount of battery when I turn it on.

I highly recommend.

Run.

I have to say I do love the sansas. Right now my kids are using the 2 and 4 GB ones for their music....I just put some audiobooks on the 8GBs....and I have several more that I need to find homes for, lol. (Got about 6-8 in my last b.0.c and I had already bought 6 2gb clips myself for vacation, lol)

I was, but 3 or 4 wootoffs ago it was an excalibur item every other item. A lot of handheld games, etc. I don't mind one every 15th item, just not every other item.

For music the Clip is my all time favorite. Awesome sound, very small. I have had one for two years or so and it still rocks.

My only complaint is that being black and small it sometimes gets lost. If only it had one of those paging finders on it.
