First ever Bag o Carp for the hubby and I. Fedex tracking had fun jerking our emotions around, but it arrived today, 3 days ahead of schedule. I was planning on keeping it til Christmas... but we couldn't resist.

Soo we got...
-the camera bag
-4 random color surge markers
-Invisio G5 bluetooth headset- NIB
-Motorola bluetooth DJ headphones s805 - packed in a open-ended foamy bag, no accessories
-RCA 1gb sports mp3 player- in a crushed, sealed box with all accessories
-Kirk vinyl figure (Anyone want to send over the Spock for matching set?)
-set of two 2gb kingston sd cards. NIB
-tiny ziplock containing a mini-usb plug
-No other packaging to protect the goods inside the oversized box. I'm thinking that's why the mp3 looked so trashed in the box despite never having been opened.

I just wanted an mp3 player- and this one works. Sweeeeet! Pretty psyched about the kirk figurine too- I wanted hubby to get them for me during the wootoff, but I was in class and he didn't think it was worth it. Thanks for coming to my rescue, Woot gods! Again, if you want to send me a Spock for the cost of shipping I'd be twice as happy! Husband is suuuper psyched about the bluetooth headphones/headset. Just need to figure out how exactly they work. The Motorola's didn't come with anything, but lucky for us, the USB cord to charge the mp3 player fits for them to. Double bonus! And the sd cards are something we'll actually use. Awesome!

We got pretty lucky to have such great loot out of our first ever Boggy Old Creature. :D

Well it came today. USPS was holding out on me as it was out for delivery yesterday. Since it didn't come yesterday I decided to wait and wrap it up and slap it under the christmas tree. However, and i haven't done this since i was a kid (as i haven't really been excited about Christmas presents in quite a while) I tried to peak through the tape and gave it a light shake and tipped it onto it's side to see if I could get a feel for what/how many items were inside of there
It definitely feels like more than 3 items. 6.9lbs 13.2 cubed dimenions (acutal dimentions were more 16-10x13) Doesn't feel like 3 bottles of wax, but what do I know.
I am officially excited for christmas again.
Thanks Woot!

Well we made Toys for Tots day when we rolled up with 5 boxes full of action figures for them! I am sure there are some busy wrappers this evening wrapping them all up for some special little boys for Christmas morning. Thank you woot, for giving me that pallet of toys so I could help out some children in my area.

The PS3 works, the hubby has to wait and see if Santa brings him any games before he goes and buys some, but it plays Blu-ray movies beautifully, and it connects to internet via wi-fi, and I am awaiting my disc from Netflix to watch movies on it from there.

So for this being my first Boggy Old Creature, I am EXTERMELY happy. I am glad everyone else is getting some good stuff too! They could have slipped a few of there action figure guys into everyones bags and then put some tvs on my pallet, but oh well! lol

Merry Christmas EVERYONE!! Have a safe New Years too!

4.5lb Bag (Usual Items)

1 Vinyl Spock
2 Model Ace Planes
2 Victory Waxes
1 Electronic Football Game

But, no bag.

I emailed support to ask if I could get a bag and they quickly emailed back saying they would ship me a bag.

Now the wait begins again, what bag shall I get?

Sure I read fine. You were selectively addressing only the few broken items mentioned by someone unhappy with the quality of their BOC, while conveniently ignoring the other working items received. Items that were far better than many other wooters received.

To try to show support for this person's dissatisfaction with the contents of his BOC by saying that you would accept the total cost of the BOC and in return send someone only those select broken items is intellectually dishonest. If you want to cast dispersions on the contents of his BOC, at least have integrity to address all of the items he received.

I would gladly pay the $8 to receive ALL the items he received, including the broken ones. $8 for a working Zune, alone, is worth the hassle to me of tossing a few broken items in a dumpster.

1x 2gb c250v2 Sansa working
3x 4gb e260 Sansas (2 working, 1 TBD)
1x WD Caviar 250 gb HD (no idea if it works)
1x Spock
1x Kirk
1x Halloween Safety Light
1x empty Sansa box with a sticky note that had a serial number written on it
1x camera bag
1x Belkin zipper case for a XM Express, new in case
1x Star Wars film cell, Darth Sidious holding his palms out in a ominous manner.

I was hoping to get a Sansa that worked for my wife, so I'm stoked about that.

I was hoping to get a Star Wars film cell, I'm not a Star Wars fan but I thought it'd be a good gift. I didn't know any Star Wars fans to give it to though. I told my Mom what my Boggy Old Creature haul was and then a few hours later she called me and said that her co-workers' husband is a huge Star Wars fan (he has a Darth Vader tat o_0) and wanted to know how much I'd sell the film cell for. I told her I'd give it to her co-worker for free and when my Mom relayed the message her co-worker started to cry. I guess she was having a really bad day and was overjoyed that I'd just give that to her with no hesitation.

So thanks Woot for my Boggy Old Creature and making me a Christmas do-gooder!

I forgot to add that I also got an 8gb Craze mp3/flash drive new in box with cords/headphones.

bmxjimp wrote:That is a great story. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Thanks for reading it!

I found out today that her husband had been laid off and she was putting off her car payment so that she could get her kids presents this year. She wasn't going to be able to get her husband anything this year, but now he will get something he LOVES! Made me feel even better that I gave her the SW film cell.

Here is his Darth Vader tattoo..

Double edit: Had to reseat the board again. It's actually the top edge that pops out. May have to figure out a way to fix this permanently.

You can probably make a small shim out of some card stock, though if you have a piece of black antistatic foam that would be better. A piece of an index card folded once or twice to the appropriate thickness would work. Once you get the thickness right you can glue it to the back cover so that it mates up with the part of the board that needs to be held in place. I wouldn't make the shim so big that it covers any more of the board than necessary.

How do they fill the bags? My first ever and I can't believe all that I got.

Four (04) (yes four!) Sansa View 8GB MP3/Video players, two with boxes, headphones, and charging cable. (They are the all black front and look really nice (and expensive).

I can see one, but four? Wow.

Update: three are perfect, one has a display messed up. I tore it apart and will sell all the stuff on eBay. Apparently just the battery is $70 on the Net. Sheesh, maybe there's money is taking all of them apart and selling the parts. (Since no one is willing to strip a working Sansa and others don't know how to do it.)

Two Star Trek dolls, one Kirk, one Spock.

A Pearlessence Aeromist portable humidifier.

A small camera bag.

That's it.

Anyone know what those 8 GB Sandisk Sansa View players were going for?

Says "SDMX10R8192KA70"
