Hi!

Here's the quick list. Most of these items have already been seen, so a pic would be redundant. Fun, but...

  • Capt Kirk vinyl figure
  • Spock vinyl figure
  • American Tourister photo bag
  • GoStereo portable speakers
  • Microderm Abrasion Buffer (I've not seen this one yet)
  • 40GB WD HDD (As yet untested)
  • 2GB Sansa e200 (Refurbed and factory sealed in bubble wrap. Includes selection of jazz and hip-hop songs for testing purposes)
  • Revenge of the Sith SE Film Cell (Senator Palpatine appears to be thinking...or napping...(or blinking?)
  • BACON SALT!!!!

I'm THRILLED to have been a part of this, let alone getting BACON SALT!!! Totally made it worth the price of admission! Fun stuff, and an awesome Boggy Old Creature!

Thanks Woot!

My wife has already claimed the pens -- she's an oncology nurse and finds it incredibly difficult to keep others from walking off with her pens, during the course of the day.

These have a metal snap clip on the top, so she can clip it to her badge.

As an aside, I told her about Freeskier's 30+ boxes and KayBoss' 760+ action figures and she was mildly horrified at the thought of a garage/driveway/house full of scaffolding.... Then I told her about the PS3, and she again supports my Woot!ing.

My wife swears I'm keeping Woot! in business all by myself. I think she may be onto something.

First Boggy Old Creature after 3 1/2 years of trying:
weigh: 4.9 lbs
dimensions: 16.7 in. x 12.6 in. x 10.9 in.

Radio controlled double rotor helicopter & 6 AA batteries

Official Star Trek Bubble Head vinyl figure of Spock

EzyFlare Emergency Electronic Flare & 4 AA batteries

Polaroid CD I1035 Digital Camera Software (but NO camera), plus a user's manual for said non-existent camera.

American Tourister fanny-pack Photo Bag that might fit the above-mentioned camera if there was one.

Crayola colored paper tablet (20 blank pages)

Not awe-inspiring, but nothing broken and a chore to properly dispose of, and nothing totally useless, except the camera software & manual, useless to me, but if anyone got the camera and wants them, let me know.

If you go to www.instructables.com and search roomba, I believe, or roomba battery, there is a how to do it yourself instructions in replacing the bad battery. Usually it is one of 8 as I recall that goes bad, and it is normally the second one in the series. I am not trying to promote anything, just trying to help someone salvage a possible awesome roomba. Woot instructables doesn't sell anything that I am aware of. If you donate I think it just gives you video access on how to fix things, but can't swear to it. Hope this is okay to post.

Good luck, and Merry Christmas!

Thanks, I'll check it out!

Also, Congrats to the person with the letter. If you haven't already, it would be nice to donate some of those toys to Toys for Tots, but it's your call. Merry Christmas (and/or other holidays and festivities) to all!

Edit: Whoops! I forgot to include the machine polish!

Anyone have the KT-HDP1 to go with the antenna? I'll take it with a trade or take something of yours as trade.

Hope to use my Linux box at work and try getting the E260 working. If I am successful, I will post results and steps.

Holy scaffolding! I just got my Sansa e260 to work! It had the blue ring and nothing else when you turned it on or plugged it in. Here is what I did: Took out the 4 screws on the back case. This will reveal the battery. Above the battery there is a black rectangle just below the hold button. It's maybe 1 inch by 3/4 inch. I read on forums that pressing on this resets the daughter board and can help. I tried this last night and heard a click but still nothing. Today I was going to try firmware updated and everything but Linux wouldn't recognize the player no matter what I tried. I thought...well, let's see what's behind that black rectangle. It's just a sticker so I peeled it off and there was the daughter board. I wiggled it a little with my finger and lo and behold, the screen turned on when I hit the power button!!!
Hope this helps at least one person out there.

Edit: scaffolding, it locked up when I tried to send music to it and the screen is dead again.

Double edit: Had to reseat the board again. It's actually the top edge that pops out. May have to figure out a way to fix this permanently.

Just want to wish everyone a Happy Holiday season and a good New Year.

Enjoy the carps from your B O C, as I have begun to enjoy mine.

BTW, it is interesting that as of this morning, both my Woot square box and Deals.Woot triangle are both purple color. Maybe during 2010 I can move them both to black.

I am going to bet nothing really other than maybe some DRM'ed video files. My $8 is riding on that they are out of DVR and DVD recorder units based on the sizes that are being sent out.

I posted earlier w/ my baby of the cosmos contents. My 3.5 year old daughter claimed my Kirk & Spock figures, and she has renamed them Bob & Dee. Apparently they are quite the acrobats. :D

Also we tested the Sansas. The 2GB appears to work, but the 1GB and 4GB we aren't sure. The blue ring lights up but not the screen. Also we don't have the proper cords for any of them, so need to look for cords.

OOh, I am jealous of the person who got some bacon salt. I make some great baked beans with that bacon salt in them, yum! We got 2 bottles of it in our last Boggy Old Creature.

Oh, and I feel so bad for the poor kitty who got a toaster burn. Hope kitty heals well!

That is not cool at all. I would most definitely contact Woot about that.

As far as my bag, I received a RMAed Philips DVD Recorder. It's complete piece of scaffolding. I have it opened on my desk and trying to fix it.

Whats worst is that the way the lady returned it is the way I received it. Including her email letter back and forth with Woot that has her Name, address, email address and phone number. Talk about a breach of privacy.

Got my haul last night. Package was 6.5lbs and 12.9^3.

1 - Funko Spock Figurine
1 - HD Radio "Do It Yourself" Car Kit
1 - iPod cable
2 - 250GB WD Caviar Hard Drives - 1 is DOA, the other appears to hold data, although I would not put anything of any value on it.
1 - American Tourister Camera Bag
3 - Sets of earphones, two new, one is very well used.
3 - 4GB Sansa e260. 2 aren't working yet, and one is working fine.

And lastly, 1 foam earpiece - invariably for the used earphones.

My fourth Boggy Old Creature and no complaints. Thank you Woot.

It arrived! My very first Woot.com bag!

1x Star Trek figure - Kirk
1x Star Trek figure - Spock
1x American Tourist photo bag
1x Notebook Cooling Chill Mat - bag opened
1x 2 hour battery charger w/ 4x AA & 4x AAA batteries + car charger (sweet!)
1x Twister savings bank - package opened
1x GFM Digital Camera w/ waterproof case (sweet!)
1x package of Braun Oran B toothbrush heads - Chinese/Japanese packaging

A few Christmas gifts, a camera - though the phone I just got is probably a better one... - the rechargeable batteries were a very pleasant surprise though. :D Maybe next time I'll get some MP3 players or Bluetooth headsets - or a TV. :P But for a first bag, I love it.

My haul:

1 x spock vinyl figure
1 x excalibur pro form football ("hear the crunch of the players when they make contact"!)
1 x fact or scaffolding: it's your call book
2 x victory wax machine polish #3

I'm happy with the star trek figure, but don't have any use for the other items... will be glad to part with those for the cost of shipping, if you do.

I didn't receive any bag, though! worth asking woot gods about this?

It really is luck of the draw, except for the LETTER but I would assume that's randomly selected.

If that's everything you need to have HD radio in your car, I think that's a great item. I was interested in trying HD radio until I found out I would have to buy a new dash unit and spend a couple hundred, too. That was a year ago, so maybe prices have dropped. I'm guessing you'll need a JVC unit for that Car Kit to work. Best of luck to you.

You are correct in that you need a Tuner as well. If you look back a few pages in the thread you will see someone received the car kit and a new matching tuner. I'll probably end up just trying to craigslist the kit I received.

on one of my 8gig sansa videos, the power switch just slides up and down with no resistance. i thought maybe the spring inside was broken or missing. i opened it up and it looks like the little internal tab that the outer switch hooks on to is missing, i can see in the little slot that the spring is still there. has anyone ever seen anything like this? basically the sansa is stuck "on" all the time.
