If you buy 6 calendars, do you have a good shot at getting all 5 options, or could you get a bunch of duplicates?

I was thinking about mounting all 5 on my desk and spending the first hour every day playing calendar games. I am sure in the grand scheme of things it would improve my productivity...

I'm sure it's possible, unless you bribe someone in the warehouse.

Did you know shirt.woot ships internationally? Get you some!

Great price but everytime I've bought 3 of something "random" like I would do here, I get all the same think. I don't need 3 of the same calendar. Been burned by woot too many times on their "random" c r a p.

Bought 3 (6) so here's hoping I don't get all the same ones. That would really suck.

My kids are the perfect ages for this so that takes care of 2, plus one for me. Now I got 3 left over as a good backup in case I run out of firewood.

Is Woot not coming out with calendar's again?

I thoroughly enjoyed my 2009 variety, as did the 2 folks from work who got 'em from me as a gift...

What gives, Woot?

Note: Don’t confuse this “Random scaffolding” sale with one of our sometime “baby of the cosmos” events. For one thing, no bag is included. Instead, your calendar(s) will ship in one of our standard product transit units. That’s Woot warehouse lingo for a box.

I usually get my Boggy Old Creature in a box too :\

Still wish there were a way to calculate the odds of getting what I wanted. I'd really like the Jumble calendar, and the Brain Game and Would You Rather calendars would be nice, but I wouldn't care for either of the Fact or scaffolding calendars. I suppose that at such a low cost, the point is to get three (six) just to get a better shot at variety, but that apparently isn't the case with "random" things here. One way or another, at least one calendar is going to be gifted, I'd just rather it not be all six!

6 Desk Calendars for a bit under $14 isn't bad at all. And you can always gift the ones you don't want.

Hopefully there's some variety in the 6.

I would only pull the trigger if it involved me possibly getting random cat calendars.

Cool. I'll put one on my desk right next to my new (and very strange looking) Star Trek vinyl figures.

Then I'll never ever want to sit at it ever again.

I actually really want this. It would be my first woot. But my problem is, I read them all by January 2nd and then they are essentially worthless. Also, I cant get myself to tear off the days and end up looking at Jan. 1 all year. My decision will be made if they are still here tomorrow. If there are still available I wont be able to contain myself.

Nothing like a good shirt.woot argument. Gets me through a whole class.

Also, I hate that the shipping is more expensive than the product. Would make me want 4, but the probability of a double is too high.

Don't read it as $2.99 calendars + $5 shipping. Read it as $7.99 for two calendars shipped! That is an awesome deal, if you want these.

Seeing that you're kind of new here (since 2007, and no woots?), I'll explain. Woot always charges $5 for shipping. No matter what you ordered. A couple of crappy calendars or three big screen TV's... Always $5! Some cheap items sell for as little as $0.01 with $5 shipping... You get the idea... It's just a part of the game, that's all.

To be fair I only started checking Woot in the past 6 months. And on the 3-4 occassions I wanted something (not including the Bad Opera Concerts) they were sold out by the time I checked. Hopefully I will wake up tomorrow and change my white box to yellow. We shall see.

So as soon as I got in from the bars and read the copy I immediately did a search through the comments for "charlie," then for "gordon," then for "algernon" -- and found only your one post. I guess the rest of these loozers only get Star Wars/Trek or other Sci Fi references.

So I guess I am obliged to proffer you Flowers then, eh?

EDIT: I see a couple more people got the reference; not sure why they didn't come up in my original search, but hey: Flowers For Everybody!

Still: Clever literary references, be they to the book or to the movie, do not a purchase-worthy item make. And if you thought otherwise, then I guess you just pulled a real Charlie Gordon!

Kinda glad the cheaters with programs to auto-buy the bags of c r a p are getting what was coming to them. Although it's certainly not going to stop them from continuing to use them. It's still near impossible to get a Bag of C R A P when it shows up. -_-

My suggestion for Woot is to put the Bag of C R A P up one day, but with a different title. Maybe put up like Baby of The Cosmos, Boggly Old Creature or something. =/

Don't check back next year; Woot regularly offers crappy calendars at the end of the year.

I would recommend checking in mid-year to avoid further disappointment.

Well, considering I just checked my e-mail to discover that I'd purchased desk calenders, I'm thrilled that this wasn't marked any higher than this. Now, I love pointless trivia, but how do I explain this "useless" purchase to my wife, who's already annoyed at the slinkys I bought in the last wootoff? So much for autobuy...

tear away Calander... doesn't this seem more like something that should be on a wootoff for like 5 minutes while everyone complaons but takes one for teh gipper anyway just to get them gone?

But nope... it's here . on Dec 22. the day before the day before christmas eve. A Tear away calander.

hey woot person who comes up with the listing titles: when you get a bunch of junk that you know we're not going to like (come on, i've been to woot off's; this is the stuff that does NOT sell out in 10 minutes), add "random scaffolding" to the title

you'll have a bunch of bots buying all of them up in 1.52 seconds flat
