YAY! I got an answer to my email concerning the wireless keyboard and mouse, see below....

We are in the process of acquiring the correct keyboards for these orders. We expect to receive them this week at some point so I would advise writing us again early next week and request it at that time. We can put the order in then for the keyboard to be sent to you. We apologize for any inconvenience!

Riley

Thanks Woot!!

Staff

We are actually working on a mass-solution to the wireless accessories problem and will have an email out to everyone who bought this computer within the next couple days.

Just thought I'd stop in to say, yes indeed, we have been informed that somewhere something went wrong and we will be fixing ASAP. So hold onto your pants while we work things out on our side, y'all won't need to do a thing.

Also it seems we got the wrong remote. The 4-in-1 remote as stated coming with this unit is black. I received the white one, so I cant use this remote as a mouse or play the games loaded on this computer, if they are even on there I haven't checked.

Just got mine today with the wired keypad and mouse (takes 2 of the 4 USB ports available!). And the different white remote.

Same as everyone else for me. Wired keyboard and mouse, and white remote.

Unfortunately I'm pretty sure mine is DOA, it keeps rebooting itself, the screen is scrambled and even the 'recovery' disk won't boot it up.

I have not hooked it up to the coaxial cable for obvious reasons.

I assumed one would need an antenna of some sort. Isn't that the case?

Had faith on Woot but sad to say the Lenovo came with the old white remote and a wired keyboard and wired mouse.

I see that they are looking in the issue and hopefully they resolve it soon or they should reimburse some money or just refund all.

I have a signal, my other media center works with the same coax connection? I called tech support and there instruction required the other remote. Just wondering if anyone else had the same problem?

I didn't even get mine. FedEx "misdelivered" to another address, some guy signed for it and now has my computer. FedEx says they'll helpfully send someone out to "try to retrieve it", but that if I don't get it by tomorrow I should contact Woot and tell them to file a claim.

Thanks, FedEx!

EDITED: Thanks to my fellow Wooter who actually tracked me down to let me know that FedEx had given him my package as well as his...

I have the same issue, got a wired mouse and keyboard, and got the wrong remote. I'm trying to hook my cable up to it. It doesn't seem to work, but I'm not sure if the cable I am trying to use is connect to anything.

Just like everyone else, I also received a wired keyboard and mouse, and the wrong remote. So, I just kept everything boxed up.

But, did anyone turn on the computer and verify that the rest of the specs are correct? Did you check the HD, Memory and CPU speed? If there are more issues with the computer itself, I don't want to go through another round with Woot if they only get the correction of just new keyboards, mice and remotes.

I just tried mine to make sure about everything else. I did receive the correct machine, with the 500gb hard drive and 4gb memory and processor is correct. My tuner works, you have to go through a process to first set it up, it will not work on it's own, you have to set it up. Hope this does not affect me if they want to recall all of them and offer refunds or new units.... I have not received the email response yet, they are supposedly going to send everyone who bought one an email within a couple days so....been a couple.....hopefully it gets straightened out. As far as the other ad goes about getting it cheaper at the other site, when you go to check out, it comes up $699.00 Apparently there is an online coupon code and then reduces it to around 550 I guess. Oh well, that's life.

The power button came on, but the screen remained blank, touch screen buttons do nothing and computer will not boot. Customer service at Lenovo had no ideas.

Maybe the software was never loaded on the computer or maybe it just failed or got screwed up during shipping....sorry to hear about your situation. Lenovo should be able to straighten this out, considering their reputation, I hope.

I'm hoping this isn't an "OOPS!"

I had the same surprise...my keyboard has a tail! I didn't go any deeper. I put it all back in the box and I'm waiting for the "solution".

Damn you Woot...this was a major purchase, unlike most of my other 100+ Woots this one came with a little $$pain$$.

I agree. I've made many purchases from woot over the years, and this one was not inexpensive. However if, over the past years, I had a problem with an order Woot made every effort to correct the problem to my satisfaction. Let's hope they do the same this time. Good luck to us all. ; )

Lenovo and Woot have failed to straighten anything out, but they have succeeded in wasting a great deal of my time. I have a computer which doesn't work and apparently my only option is to pay to have it shipped back to Woot and cross my fingers that eventually I get a refund.

Thank you Woot.com and Lenovo. And congratulations on successfully screwing over a poor college student.

We're waiting on our shipment of wireless mice and keyboards to come in so that we can look them over, make sure we're happy with them (that they're the CORRECT model that we're expecting), and be able to send out the correct specs before we ship out the wireless accessories.

I am TOLD that we should have them in by tomorrow and we'll have the mass email out then too. But the gist is that we'll be sending the correct stuff and you all won't need to do anything.

Don't forget the 4-in-1 remote, we all got the old ones, and no games on here to use with the remote either. I wonder if we could download them or something...

I told them that was a ridiculous proposition. I buy something from them. They send me a broken computer. I pay to ship it back? Absolutely not! I would email them back.

Still gonna have to wait for the refund. No fix for that.

Non-matching third party wireless keyboard and mouse, and no replacement remote. Not OK with that? Return it, we're told.

First time I've ever really been dissatisfied with Woot.

Is there a way to purchase the actual remote ourselves? I would still like to have it, even if I have to pay a little extra myself.

Thank you.

Woot Staff: Couple of questions:

1) I am guessing your are paying for the return shipping ???

2) How much time will it take for the refund ??

I didn't order this but I've been following it because somebody I know did at least partially due to my prodding. Did you all get Woot's promised e-mail yet and if so, will you be receiving the wireless kb/mouse and 4-in-1 remote per the product description? It sounds like the last few people are responding to an e-mail indicating that they won't be receiving these items but I'm not sure.

So we did get an email from Woot, but they are not sending the new remote and sending a crappy wireless keyboard and mouse not from lenovo.

My trust meter for Woot has dropped to zero.....very very disappointed

About the remote:

My guess is that the 4 in 1 remote wouldn't actually work with the computer that we received.

However, since that is the case, I would have really liked a wireless keyboard with a touchpad so I could control the mouse pointer on screen from my couch/bed/wherever I may be that doesn't have a table for me to use my mouse on.

I really don't think it's illegal for a company to display incorrect product information or send you the wrong product due to a mistake either from them or a manufacturer. Every company in existence is guilty of this from time to time. At least Woot has tried to remedy the situation instead of doing what most would do and just throwing their hands up asking you to return it...or worse, stating that the matter must be settled with Lenovo.

Anyway in a quest to help the friend I have caused to buy the computer, I actually called the Lenovo tech support line about this. First, they said that they are actually getting a lot of calls about this recently. Second, despite me showing her Lenovo's website which indicates otherwise, she said that ALL MODELS of the A600 have the 4-in-1 remote control, wireless keyboard, and wireless mouse. That includes your advertised 3011-3RU. That's indeed the model you all got, right?

In a surprisingly inflammatory statement, she said that if anybody didn't receive the wireless keyboard/mouse and the 4-in-1 remote, it's the reseller's fault (implying the reseller switched 'em). She had nothing to say to me telling her that these were the Lenovo factory packed boxes and therefore Lenovo's error. She said that she understood when I said that this meant they would have a lot of warranty claims from Wooters in this case.

Despite what it sounds like, I had a calm, civilized discussion with her. It's just that her statements were pretty surprising.

Edit: I must say that I don't believe that all models have it as the tech support individual claimed, and think that it was her way of avoiding answering the question of whether or not your particular model did. I was intending to ask how to buy these components but couldn't get that far due to her saying all models have it. From what I see you can't buy the accessories online but you can download the games off the support website.
