Actually, this isn't WUXGA. I'd call it 1080p. WUXGA is 1920x1200, being a "wide" version of UXGA, which is 1600x1200.

Lest we not forget that these "geniuses" at nbc were responsible for the firing of Chris Farley, Mike Myers, Adam Sandler, & Norm Macdonald from SNL. They also forced Lorne Michaels out for a period of time. Career.com was on the money. Chimps run nbc.

Alas, no HDMI input, or any sort of input for that matter.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I feel as if that was a mistake on Lenovo's part. But at this price, I guess I can't complain, but I'm still not buying.

"Touch-sensitive buttons for brightness, display on/off, and optical disk drive eject"

My computers (and many other devices) have had "touch-sensitive buttons" for decades. That's sorta the point.

I'll withhold my opinion on NBC Late Night, because I have yet to understand why Conan is on TV at all.

I feel the good karma with Woot's support for Conan (eh... I mean Coco).

Out of context - I am using my new Gyration air mouse, arrived today and just got it fired up. Wow, what a deal. $10 after rebate. So glad I bought three. Woot, the place for deals.

Anyway, we have four Lenovo products (two netbooks, two notebooks). They are superb. So I would say this is an excellent product too.

Lenovo is a multiinational electronics and computer company who bought IBM's PC division, including its Thinkpad line of products. They have a headquarters office in the U. S., which is nice to know. They are the 4th largest computer maker in the world.

IMHO they have done quite well with the IBM brand, making good quality computers under the Lenovo name.

So if you are on the fence with this, IMHO you will be getting a good deal and a great computer.

Bonus comment: When we got our two notebooks I had a question for tech support. I called and someone in Canada answered the phone. He was courteous and helpful.

Probably not. Most of these imac-like computers are built like laptops.

CoCo was a NoNo. NBC put ALL their eggs IN ONE basket. Like this woot has ALL it's hardware IN ONE package. Get a laptop if you want this, not a wanna-be-both kinda machine that will cost a fortune to repair.

Long Live Johnny...er...never mind.

hmm, the real selling point of this computer is only the fact that its a all in one, though it has no touch screen capabilities like the HP one there (forgot the name)

The chip is pretty slow, however, 4GB of memory is good, and the video card is better than the integrated intel "thing" (as I like to call it) that you would find in a lot of desktops, however with the all-in-one form factor you can't really upgrade easily (not like a normal ATX case where you just throw in a new Blu Ray drive and a faster vid card).

But, unless you really need a all-in-one for space saving, I would just use the money on a laptop that would take up same amount of space but be portable, or a full desktop that has better specs, and could be upgraded easily in the future. Cause with these things, your kinda stuck with what you buy....

Just my $.02, although, I was thinking of buying this for my mom for a moment when I thought it was a touch screen (she really gets a kick out of that)

That site does not have the exact model advertised (30113RU). Not sure exactly what comes with it, or the refresh rate of the monitor.

An example of the quality and innovation of Lenovo products, a tablet netbook for $550 retail (probably $400 street price).

If I did not have so many computers I'd buy this all-in-one computer instantly as if by magic.

Just sayin, for those Wooters unfamiliar with the Lenovo name.

Addesso makes a great one with the trackpad at the bottom, similar to a laptop. Easy on batteries, and has held up rough use for 2 years so far. Great for couch surfing.

But yeah, other than that, exactly the same! (if you are talking about the A600 - 30116CU that is $699 at the Lenovo site).

Your first post 30 minutes ago didn't mention the ree-furb...

Also, maybe I'm not the Lenovo website expert, but does the "OUTLET SHOP" one not come with tv tuner, wireless keyboard, or wireless network card, in addition to not being new?

If it does come with those three things, they do a poor job of advertising.

huujedi wrote:Generally lenovo makes average machines. Only problem is you have to do a fresh windows install to rid it of all the garbage lenovo programs that come with it and compromise the speed. I did that to my girlfriends lenovo laptop and it works great now.

Or you could just uninstall the garbage...

But you should/have to do that with any pre-built windows computer, generally. Lenovo isn't nearly as bad as HP or Dell (especially HP, my god) in that regard.

FYI this is basically a laptop behind a screen / on a stand, i.e. it uses mobile parts rather than desktop parts. The specs are roughly equal to a mainstream laptop from early last year (2009).
