A modern high end led flashlight can produce more than 60 lumens for 5 hours on 2xAA batteries, instead of 6.

The keychain one also seems rather bulky for keychain use.

I googled these a bit and read that the tripod legs break easily when dropped.

Bought 2 for $20 when they were on woot last time weeks ago. Not too shabby, works well, and is quite bright. 4 flashlights for 10 bucks. Thumbs up.

i'm getting the "This sale has not launched yet." message, too. i tried closing the window, coming back to woot, changing the payment method from paypal to a credit card, and trying firefox instead of chrome.

are you keeping me from buying this FLASHlight because of my NAME??

This is a great deal compared to Amazon.

They have them for $25.00 and it doesn't include the key chain.

Used the flashlight recently when I had to chain up my car at 1:30 in the morning. Didn't make it an easy task, but it was one less thing to worry about. Great product!

You are buying your batteries at a kiosk in Zermat; Costco batteries are cheaper than dirt.

Picked these up when they were last offered on a 2-for-Tuesday. Put one in my truck..and keeping one in the house. I love them. Very bright in comparison to the Mag-Lites I have (which were replaced by these). When the 3 flashlights are combined they are extremely bright...and also just slightly larger than a typical Mag-lite of the same size (2 D-Cell Mag-Lite), but not nearly as skull-crackingly heavy. In other words, if you use a mag-lite for more than just light, I'd recommend sticking with them. These are plastic and don't feel like they would stand up to being used as a club like you can with a Mag-Lite. The light the flashlights emit is bright white at the center, and fades to a slight yellow.

There is a certain bullseye store that is selling a 40 pack of AA Eveready batteries for 14.99. That makes it less than 2.50

If i didn't have one already, i would get it for this price...so sad...why woot..why do u have to do this and lower the price?! *tears*

On December 29 we got those - two for $19.99, at least that is what I paid. I don't think that was a Woot-Off.

Usually Woot does not sell things at such dramatic price differences, and especially not two weeks apart.

These were $20 for one during a Woot-Off?

Each light by itself is quite bright. So these are actually like getting three extremely bright flashlights.

An additional feature is that you can put them into the tripod holder and have an extremely powerful light with three bulbs/beams.

I have wind up (dynamo) lights. While those are nice for emergencies when all else fails or you have exhausted your AA batteries, I have found they are not as bright as a single one of these lights and if one winds for 15 minutes you might get a half hour to an hour use, if you are lucky. On all mine I get about 10 minutes use after winding and winding and winding.

So these are as good an AA operated light as you are going to find. It's a great concept, one super powerful light or if the need be three people can be given a light.

And that the light heads swivel is a cool feature too. You can wedge it somewhere in the engine, for example, and swivel the head to light up a specific area. Can't do that with other lights, that is, ones without a swivel feature.

Bonus Tip: If you are not using rechargeable AA batteries, well then that's just plain foolish. I recommend eneloop batteries:

See my test of the eneloop here:
