Bought this HR monitor last time it was on woot and it was junk - only detected my HR about 1/3 of the time. Just real flakey in general. Might have gotten a lemon though.

This is good for those of you whose heart rates tend to rise during peak hours of woot-offs.

I have this exact model and it's great at a gym. Most machines recognize the monitor, so you don't need to wear the watch.

I asked for an Acer Asipre One, I got a Precision Trainer Heart Rate Monitor with Speed and Distance. How's that for being born under a bad sign?

I have one of these and it works great. However, the watch can get pretty confusing to use and switch back and forth between what you want.

My friend has this, it tends to mess up all the exorcise machines around it. Kinda funny when the guy next to you looks at his heart rate while hes walking and it reads 180.

If you're working out, it's likely that you're trying to improve your fitness level. But, how can you tell if you're pushing yourself hard enough when you're doing cardio? That's easy. Grab a heart rate monitor like the Precision Trainer Heart Rate Monitor with Speed and Distance.

Heart rate monitors will let you know if you're reaching your target heart rate, the rate your heart beats at while getting the most health benefits. Usually, your target heart rate occurs when your pulse is 60 to 80 percent of your maximum heart rate. For most people, it is easier to use a heart rate monitor than to check their pulse.

The Precision Trainer Heart Rate Monitor with Speed and Distance features time and date display, stopwatch, alarm, calorie counter, 30 over 240 beats per minute heart rate measuring range, rest timer and warm-up timer. It works with all Polar-compatible exercise equipment and most treadmills and stationary bikes that provide heart rate information.

Though the heart rate monitor was designed for both running and walking, but you can also wear it while swimming. They're water resistant up to depths of 60 feet.

Keep in mind that the distance sensor has got to be in the watch (since there isn't a separate foot pod or the like), and so it's not likely to be very reliable.
