These are actually pretty reasonable. I used one to prop up a little 7" LCD TV on the kitchen counter and it's well suited for that task. The threads seemed a little mismatched to the threads on the bottom of the TV, but neither was made in America so what do you expect. It worked.

NO. A DSLR (or an SLR with any kind of lens) will be too heavy, the little legs have a fixed amount of friction, and are not likely to stay put.

No they only work with 1980's full size VHS camcorders.
If it has a screw tripod mount on the bottom of the camera of course it will.
