I'm biased of course but it was a good deal all around. Their $38.99 shipping is relevant if you want to be most accurate. If anyone missed out here, they should consider find it there as backup.

I bought a square trade warranty for this; one year at 20% off using code SUPERBOWL20 for $31. Good insurance for a refurb, I guess.

TV received. Hooked it up - works fine.

Got mine, but no remote and no power cord.

While unhooking my old TV my DirecTV receiver died. Timing is everything.

At least the new TV looks nice in the cabinet, even if I can't watch it yet.

Got mine, the box was nowhere near as beat up as the picture. Plugged it in, everything works fine except for the remote. Either my batteries are bad, or the remote is. But all-in-all I'm happy

Me too. TV is fine but remote doesn't work. Has anyone found a site where we can get a new one? I didn't get a manual in my box so I don't even have a support number I can call.

Here's a manual for the 32LB30Q

Here's the Proscan website.

Mine came in a semi beat up box with former shipping labels from Costco; I got the TV, remote and power cord; don't know if it works yet, but looks fine.

---------------------

Here's where it was sold at Costco (with reviews):

For those with remote control problems (from the manual):

Remote Control Reception Angle

Use the Remote control within a range of 7~10m and at an angle of 30° to either side of the receiver.

Hooked mine and everything seems to be fine. This is my first HDTV and I am quite happy with the picture. My only concern is that everytime you change the channel or it even changes to a new commercial or show, it searches for information on what resolution to use and there is a long lag before it shows the program. I have yet to figure out how to eliminate that lag.

Thank you buybuybuy for posting the manual link. Hopefully this will answer my question.

Any Wooters find links to an owners manual for this thing? research says this is an RCA company but they don't seem to know that themselves.

Well, I unboxed this today. Got a remote and power cord - TV turns on, remote works fine. The problem is that it doesn't seem any of the inputs work.

I'm going to check this online manual out and give them a call, but I fear I pulled a dud.

Hooked mine up, tweaked the picture a bit and all's well. Picture's good. Color is good. I use cable. Hooked up the dvd player using component cables. Programmed my cable remote to control both the cable box and the tv and it all works fine.

Same problem here. It's not your remote. If you take your remote, and aim it at your cell phone camera, you can easily see if the light is transmitting.

That being said, I checked mine, and my remote is fine. The problem is the sensor on the television. There should be a blue light always on in the lower right hand corner (so says Proscan). Yet, I have no such light on. Which leads me to believe the sensor is shot.

Proscan said they will not fix this problem since the product was sold through Woot. Therefore, I need to take up the problem with them.

It's a shame, the TV is nice. I hope Woot can somehow fix the issue.

Ugh. The freakin leaps into the vacuum. On top of that, their customer service leaps into the vacuum. I have left a message for the last few days and they don't call back, or I get a bus signal. What a freakin scam.

Keep us up to date on what WOOT says.

Yes, I tried the remote with my cell ph. camera, and ou're so right, it flashed.
Looks like I'm in another mess, should have just waited for a K Mart sale. Then at least, I could carry it back, and they'd gladly refund it.

Cable guy came out and fixed this TV for me. He thought the TV tuner in mine might be busted, but set up a different HD box for us and now it works fine.

Review: picture is good, I think the audio is surprisingly decent given all the bad reviews. It's sufficient to watch the news with, that's for sure.

Nothing yet. Here is what I got thus far:

Proscan finally got back to me:

First, they said "it's refurbed, you're on your own". And yes, it pretty much was worded close to that. Next, they emailed me out of no where and apologized for their initial email. They requested more information on the television. Two days later, they emailed me and said "It's Woot's responsibility, we're not fixing this television". To top it off, the "new" serial numbers on the back of the TV's we got aren't even in the companies database. Therefore, it's like they don't exist.

Woot emailed me back, and they told me
"At present, the item is being held in queue by our representative, Tye. We are expecting to get more information about this soon. Once the information is available, we will contact you with further information"...That was 2 days ago, and I haven't heard back since. Looks like we all got a whopper here! I'll keep everyone posted. Let me know if you make headway.

Ooo! We always appreciate proactive customers, HOWEVER, I have been sent to reiterate that this TV comes with a 90 day Woot warranty. We are happy to assist with any issues you may have with this product-you're always welcome to email us: service@woot.com.

That being said, we have been receiving emails from some of you that indicate that you are missing your remote or the power cable and for that- our vendor will be assisting in sending out replacements. We have been told that you can contact their customer service at 570-851-1160 or by email: csupport@ptd.net.

So! Our vendor for accessories, please, and Woot for other warranty issues or if you have any trouble speaking with them.

*Slap to the head*

We should NOT be contacting PROSCAN for this item! I didn't realize that until the 10th time I read the email I got from woot service. Use the vendor's number and email above.

I just left a vm AND sent an email. Will update when I hear back.

If anyone has heard back and/or gotten the remote issue fixed, please let us know.

THANKS!

Well, Woot service contacted me last week. They had me give them all the information, then send a picture of the remote etc. Upon going through all the steps, they told me they were sending me a REPLACEMENT TV and upon receipt of the working TV, I could send the other back. This sounded fair, since it's already taken 2 weeks to get to this point.

Fast forward nearly 5 days, I have received no word that anything had been sent. So this morning I contacted them for a tracking # or something of the sort (this was for a gift, so it's important to me this gets worked out). I get a reply, and NOW they are telling me that I will receive a shipping tag so the television can be picked up and "Upon receipt, they will test the tv and if defective will send you a replacement". So I guess you guys and myself are being delirious, we're obviously contacting them because we don't know how to use a remote control.

This whole experience is severely aggrevating.

I finally got in touch with some dude today. He said I had 2 choices:
1) Return to woot
2) Send to them.

He said they will try to repair it and if they can't they will send me a replacement. The TV I got is pretty crappy. I am sure I will be getting a replacement eventually. Let's see how this process goes.

If anyone out there cares I will update as this process goes along.

Don't hold your breath on a replacement if they can't fix it. Unsuprisingly, they have "zero" replacements to send out, so they must fix the television. Consequently, that is pretty scary, since the company you're sending it to is the same company that "refurbished" it from the get go.

They sent me a FedEx voucher to mail this back. So we'll see what happens. I was told it should take a week to get it back.

They told me if I sent it back to woot that woot didn't have any replacements but it didn't seem that the company I am sending back to didn't have any replacements.

*shrug*

I got my voucher yesterday too. Will send my tv to them later this week. I guess it is just wait and see now.

I have been working with ProScan and Woot and today I got a brand new TV in the mail! The remote works great on this one! ProScan was very professional and quick about owning up to the issue and resolving it. They called me directly (so I didn't have to wait on hold or anything) in addition they paid for return shipping as well as the shipping of the new TV. I am very impressed with the way this was handled!

WOW! That is great to hear. I hope it will be quick and easy for me too. I sent my TV back yesterday. They paid for it. Hopefully they will just look at it and see how messed up it was and just send me a new.

Enjoy your new TV!

Ok. Got my TV back. Everything works fine. I may have gotten a bad tv, but in the end everything worked out just fine. They were quick to fix and resend the tv once I send it to them. I hope other are having similar experiences.

At a mere 32" you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between 720p and 1080...40" and above, yes, but not at 32".

Although, refresh rate with an LCD should be faster or you'll notice the not-black-black and ghosting...although until you get into the plasma arena you really don't get very high refresh rates...my 3D 60" is 300Hz!
