I heard that Famous Maker isn't even headed by THE Famous Maker anymore. The board members voted him out as CEO and then sued him so that he couldn't even use his own name! What is the man supposed to do, change the name his mother gave him? Now he sells his products as Uncle No-Na-Me. :-(

bit the bullet and got one... it was a toss up between this and a 32in 1080p tv to be used as a monitor, & i dont watch television. hope i made the right choice.

This is a great deal. I just purchased the same HP screen (yes "famous maker" is HP, just zoom in the picture :-) ) on sale for $100 more! Argh! Darn woot, I now feel $100 poorer than 5 minutes ago.

ps: great screen but almost too big for PC use only. very bright and quite some glare for the rest I love it.

actually it definitely is a better choice. PC signal isnt meant to be post processed, and all tv inputs do post processing (unless specifically marked "PC INPUT) so text seems a bit 'off'.

this monitor will look much better.

(i did the research last week when i almost bought a 32" toshiba 1080p tv off of newegg)
