I found a 5 star review on Buzzillions.
http://www.buzzillions.com/reviews/team-international-group-kalorik-espresso-maker-15-bar-pump-machine-reviews

I do a daily woot blog where I talk about the woot, link to CSEs, find reviews, etc. A few people have told me it's useful. Google "useful linkage" and there it is.

Excellent price btw

Review Title - Pretty Good
""I am working as a barista right now. This machine is nowhere near as good as those $5000 machines...but this machine is great for the casual home user. I dont like the quality of the espresso but the frother is pretty good once you take the black rubber thing off. it also makes it easier to clean once you take it off. I had one problem the other day while I was make my daughter a hot chocolate with the frother and it overheated the machine. I called and told the operator about it and they sent me out another one in no time at all. I am very happy with the machine and drugstore.com Thanks""

A reviewer on Amazon said it was a really great machine but the only flaw was "...its manual. In order to find out how to properly operate this machine, I had to do a bit of research such as reading the manuals from other manufacturers. In addition, I have sent Kalorik some questions regarding the fiters mentioning the fact that the manual was lacking in any detail. Kaloriks response was to send me a PDF of the manual..."

So it sounds pretty good to me. If I needed one, I'd buy it.

EDIT: Just citing my source like a good college student

What i want to know, if it comes with a coffee pot. It seems you can make coffee, but where is the coffee stored? Directly in a cup?

Espresso coffee is the best if you love intense flavor. Everyone's kitchen should contain a good Espresso machine, and for $60 how can you go wrong?

I donated my countertop-hogging espresso machine to Goodwill after I got an Aeropress for 25 bucks. Easiest espresso ever.

Got enough kitchen gadgets that only get used once or twice a year. Don't need another piece of scaffolding to clutter the cabinets.

According to the description on Amazon, its 1250 watts....fairly high for this price point

The idea with espresso is that you make it cup by cup. Very small cups.

Espresso machines typically do not come with a pot

1250 watts! Sheesh! I can just see the electric meter disk flying right off the meter and through my neighbor's kitchen window. Think that's enough for a coffee maker?

Thanks, but what about coffee mode? It says to support it but how does that work? Single cup again? Sorry, coffee noob here.

You can either have the espresso alone, or make it into drinks. A few examples are here

I am far from an expert on the subject, but my experience with home machines like this is that you should consider practicing with the machine once you get it before you decide it's not working/a piece of junk.

A 15 bar machine should be able to make reasonably good espresso.

Getting a good cup is all about the grind and the tamp. You can't open a can of Folgers and think you're going to get a nice expresso with a decent crema - not gonna happen. I even have a fairly good burr grinder (LaPavoni) and even it is iffy on the grind. Espresso grind needs to be fine, and it needs to be very consistent. You'll have the best success with pre-ground, as distasteful as that may be to some coffee snobs. You may have a local specialty store that has a good grinder. Even if you do have a good grinder it might be in your best interest to buy an espresso grind to see what it's like from a "pro source".

Start with a bag of the cheapest beans you can find and have it ground, or look for an inexpensive pre-ground espresso (rare - they typically cost) - then work with your machine and understand how the quantity and the tamp work to make the best cup of joe.

Make a lot of cups and throw them out. Unless you want to chug a lot of swill with your friends

I bought a Gaggia - a great home machine - and didn't use it for a year because I thought it was all hype - when the fact was it was all me (being dumbly and suckish), my coffee grind, and my poor tamping skills.

This machine sounds like a great deal for the cost, and it has a nice tiny footprint.

Thanks again, but not exactly what i was getting at. I meant where the coffee goes when its made, do you have to get your own pot for it to disperse in to or can you push some button or knob to get one cup at a time?

1250 Watts

The is a steal at this price. I don't own this product but the Amazon reviews previously mentioned are good and quite helpful. I have a different and larger machine but if I were in the market I'd nab this one for sure.

Not sure about the espresso this thing will make, but the Manufacturer's Website is pretty slick.

I'll probably pass as I'm hoping someday to get a plumbed machine in my dream kitchen so I can get the steam power needed for microbubbles. The way I see it, if I can't make latte art, then what's the point?

I would never expect this to make perfect espresso at home, but what makes this an insanely great deal is the fact that it has a pod filter. This allows you to use E.S.E. (easy serving espresso) pods, making it low maintenance and great for an office machine. Even for home it would be good.

The problem with buying a cheap espresso machine is that you still need a high quality grinder which will run you at least $350. If not then you have to use grounds. What is easier (and fresher) than grounds are sealed ESE pods.

I would strongly consider this for an office machine with ESE pods.

Froogled and it seems like a decent deal - $30 less than the ones at Amazon.

0_o Mine was $45 and does a very reasonable job - can get a nice crema from the right roast. Even still - you can get a VERY upscale burr for < $200. $350 is insane unless you're opening a StarBLECHs.

I think you would do better with a "Mr. Coffee" brew machine.

Does this have a dual cup out put or is it just for a single shot? I did not find it in the description. As it does not say what the size or amount of coffee the holder is for.

By "coffee" they are referring to the espresso. It drips out into a "shot" glass that you provide. Then you add it to your steamed milk.

I have spent years as a Barista at SBC and Starbucks, as well as opened a few smaller places and roasted a fair amount beans as well. This machine has no pump which works for a long time as a pressure only machine, so the wattage is important, but will never make a nice espresso with a true creama on the top or a 'head' to the espesso. It's a good way to steam milk for sure, but the volume of the water is a bit suspect.

I might buy one for cappacinos with the wife, two max in small cups, but the family of five would take several dozen minutes to make four lattes or cafe au laits....

Might buy one in the morning if they still have them on woot and the kids agree to chip in for high quality beans, but this machine will wear out in a year if we all expect it to perform daily at large volumes of steam or espresso

The pot is extra, if you want one. Otherwise you can make it in a cup.
Quite shabby if you ask me. Who wants a coffee maker without something to store it in?

woot! must have heard all the complaints during this last wootoff of all the sleepless nights we all went through, So it is my guess with this offering they want us wide awake for the next wootoff!

Heck the more wired we are on caffeine the more we will buy the faster product change ups will be. But please woot, lay off the knife sales and picture frames next time. Because a good caffeine buzz is not a pretty picture.

Negative. The concept behind espresso is that pressurized water is forced through a compacted "puck" of finely ground coffee under at least 9 bars of pressure. The result is a very rich, bold, and strong miniature cup of coffee. Mix it with steamed milk/milk froth in various ratios to create a wide array of tasty caffeinated drinks. My favorite is a shot of espresso in a regular cup of coffee. That'll open your eyes!!
