As per my comment (currently, the last one) in the above thread from the first sale of this camera, it comes highly recommended. I had low expectations, but it exceeded them. The camera just works well without costing much at all. If you have $70 to spare and could use a nice camera, go for it; it's well worth the money. Again, check my comment in the first thread for my own thoughts on the camera and my experiences with aftermarket accessories for it.

I bought one of these for my girlfriend the last time they were up (and were $5 more). We were pretty happy with it as a simple point and click camera. If your daily use digital camera is aged or broken it's great. If you're expecting to take professional photos, you're buying in the wrong price range.

It's rated for 180 pics on a charge. I figure that means it will really shoot at least 100. How many pics do you plan on shooting per day?
I'm supposed to buy something? But we're having so much fun with things as they are, I don't want to ruin it!
Purchases: 18 / 11 (nobody cares what, so I won't tell you);

180 pictures on a full battery charge? Really?
Might be great for a kid in high school for a cheap camera for them to screw around with, but not for any adult who is going to be using it.
Sorry, no thank you on that! Way too much of a pain to need to replace and charge a battery after only 180 shots.
I am looking to replace a PnS that had the LCD broken on it, but the battery life of this one doesn't make it worth the cheap price. The one I am replacing used AA batteries and I could go 400 or so shots between needing to swap out the batteries, even more when I used L-ion rechargeables in it.

This really depends on how you use it, so nobody can answer it for you. The CIPA rating is 180 shots under standardized conditions (so this is the number you could potentially use to compare it to other cameras). Again, if you aren't just shooting stills, and shoot video and/or show off content on the memory card, that number won't mean much to you. To phrase it a different way, photos are not quite 5MB each, so you could almost fill up a 1GB SD Card if you were shooting continuously. That's about all the advice I can offer regarding how long the battery might last you. Aftermarket battery packs are pretty cheap, though (maybe $10 each, depending what else you get with them) but read my post in the original thread I referenced (http://www.woot.com/Forums/ViewPost.aspx?PostID=3703721&PageIndex=4&ReplyCount=156).

Since Polaroid went bankrupt and the brand name became the only asset (which was sold by the banks to a company who buys brand names), that the owner now licenses out to whatever factory will make items the cheapest.
I've had two Polaroid digital cameras, and they both failed shortly after I got them.
A used Canon from ebay would be a much better pick for a kid - unless you want them to learn frustration at an early age...
The bottom line is that you need to ask yourself if you would buy this camera at this price, with these specs, if the brand name was "Craparoid" - if so, go for it!
IGNORE THE BRAND NAME!
How did I get here?

Some people can be shutterbugs. I have a dSLR that I take pictures with, and I can rattle off 500 in a day with no problem, and another 200 on a PnS camera like this on the same day.
Hell, I took 2700 in a 4 hour period about a month ago at a high school hockey game.
