Not a good idea for the outside of your dorm room... people left me messages that would be filtered by woot...

This seems a little excessive for a dry erase board, doesn't it? Who would rather watch a video than read a note?

Though I imagine you could have some fun with it in a house with a bunch of crazy roommates.

Still have nothing better to do? I've finally gotten bored, in addition to working much earlier hours. Little to no more 1 am dashes for sites and manuals.

On the bright side, I finally got my first Baggie yesterday!

What video formats does it support?

This looks pretty cool. I'm in for one. It'll replace the crummy dry erase board I got at Wal-Mart and had to put stronger magnets on to keep it one the door.

Kind of neat, but doesn't seem entirely useful.

It only supports JPEG images? What types of audio and video does it support, or can it only play audio and videos recorded with the device?

I bought this on here a while ago, perhaps during a woot off? The quality of the digital frame is not very good (compared to my Kodak frame it is terrible). But still kind of a fun novelty item.

So glad the cute picture on the "packaging" shows it on the fridge and the power cord is nowhere in sight. Didn't we decide on the previous woot that this wouldn't work well on a fridge at all because of the power cord? I'm just saying...but that's the manufacturer's problem and not woot!'s!

I'd like to see an actual photo of the board's screen rather than that obviously fake one that we are given. Hard to judge quality without a real pic.

EDIT:
Here's a decent video showing all the stuff it can do: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNtAK85JApg

Lol - I noticed the Q.P.'s the other day. Gotten insane! Even noticed the mods starting to abuse you occasionally. If I ever wanted to catch up at this point I'd likely have to hunt you down and lop your fingers off.

Thanks, I'm Bunch of Crepes antsy now!

I have mine on the fridge. There is a kit that makes it possible to hide the cord. Really, it's fine on the fridge.

Is the screen only power by a cord? No battery or chargeable features?

And does anyone know how long the cord is?

The one, the only... XKape

haha yeah. it's actually kinda fun to see what they type. i've only gotten two B O C's and never get the ones in wootoffs because they always pop up at a little after 5 eastern, right when i'm driving home from work. enjoy!

The cord is pretty long at least 6 feet, maybe longer.

Thanks, good to know! I'm still saying, in their picture they don't even show that there is a cord, or the kit to hide it, etc. fakon packaging, but that's why we have the woot! discussion board!

The pros and cons of being at work at 7 a.m. Too early to stay up late for woot changeovers, but early enough to make it home once in a while for the Baggie. Last couple I was also on my way home. Always depends on how many patients are thrown my way late in the day. Damn sick people...

The secret kit involves a drill, a 5/8" bit, some caulk, advanced knowledge in electrical engineering, and a small wombat. Best of luck.

I do have a post card covering part of it, but I'm surprised how well their plastic covering hides the cord. It comes in 3 colors black, white and tan.

check out the video. that'll give you a better idea.

ALSO I followed the directions and let the mounting adhesive dry for 24 hours before mounting the unit. It's been really sturdy on a busy door.

I would recommend letting it cure for 24 hours.

Since woot! refers to their stuff as gristle, my expectations are low. It may bring many days of fun and frustration into our home and really isn't that worth it?
