3 stars on Average at Buzzillions.

I do a daily woot blog where I talk about the woot, link to CSEs, find reviews, etc. A few people have told me it's useful. Google "useful linkage" and there it is.

what's the maximum distance you can be from the robot and still receive wifi? Will it work through brick walls?

How complicated is it to operate? Is this something that the beginner remote control robot owner will have an easy time using?

Since you can use this via browser wherever you are, doesn't that mean that the robot also needs wifi? So that means that you can't roll that badass out the front door to walk the dog, or to spy on your neighbors?

Then what good is that?

I only need to know one thing. Can it do the happy dance?

These things are awesome! Had a chance to do a home preview on these things through the WowWee website. Wowwee offered 15 minuet windows to test out these cool web based radio-controlled web-cams on wheels, in a typical house setting.
With these, you can check on and remotely interact with house pets, all from a free internet web page. You control lights, camera angle (adjustable head), and of course the full movement of the robot.
These were introduced for $299 when they first came out. At $99 bucks, this is a great price that only Woot could offer! This is an awesome deal.

I assume hackaday will be posting their review after the rest of this hemisphere wakes up, as there's nothing on there yet about this robot. I'll keep looking...

Edit: Ah, there it is.

That would depend a lot on your access point, but a good rule of thumb is to figure it will work wherever you can get a WiFi signal with your laptop. Yes, it will work through brick walls, but like all walls, they will probably reduce the signal strength/range.

Can this be remotely driven onto the charging base? Or does it have to be manually placed on the base? I want to make sure it will charge between connections, so that it will work while I'm away from the summer home for many months without the battery dying.

I wonder if I dress this up in a little green dog suit if it'll help me take over the world... unless, of course, it dumps it's fuel to make room for cupcakes or endlessly makes waffles.

Will it switch from AP to AP as it travels around, or is it tied to one single wi-fi Access Point?

Please do not increment my Quality Posts count. 69 is a good place to be. ;-)
