I got mine today in Michigan. I'd say Woot! is definetly slipping by getting the product to us so quickly. Hey, Smartpost has a reputation to live down to.

The lights are indeed woot!, but I find them to be a bit noisy.

Argh! My red light is out too! Going to check out the warranty. Should last longer than 1 hour of run time.

I looked at them in the dark and the light is still on... but barely. I'm gonna try to take it apart soon and see what happens. I don't want to pay to ship them back.

Any luck? I checked and mine is also on, but dim like yours, and the reflector spins too. When mine first failed, it flashed for a while making me think it has a bad connection, but it hasn't done that since.

Received mine today. Arrived damaged on both lights! The red light barely spins and has no light. The blue light has a cracked base on the woot logo. Very disappointing, I'm checking now to see what to do about it.

Word my red light was bright but literally 10 seconds later started like flickering and now its a lot dimmer than the blue. Fail!

Got mine the other day! I turned them on and the lights worked fine but the blue light's gear was grinding and not turning.
At least these things are extremely simple to take apart! All I needed to do was to remove the screws from the bottom and get the little plastic gear started.
I opened the box in front of my parents and they rolled their eyes at this purchase that "was already broken"...glad it was a quick fix, though!

My red worked from the start, but was always dim. After 2 short (<10 mins total) uses, the red light is now completely out although it still spins.

Mine arrived yesterday. The lights themselves were scratched up, but working all day today. I am probably not going to run them all day judging by some of the reviews.

I ordered 3 sets and out of the two sets I've tried the red light quit working on both sets after using then for a few minutes turning them off and back on again. It looks like the manufacturer may have used the wrong value resistors and the red led just couldn't take it. The blue one is hanging in there, but for how long? I smell a recall on these.

I guess we could all just cut the red one off and have our own K-Mart blue light specials.

Same thing for my red light!

I am really disappointed. This was my second Woot purchase and already the quality's going downhill!

any idea what the warranty is?

Woot is a pretty good group of people. I'm sure they will take care of us. They may need a lot of lube to place them in the manufacturer's appropriante oraface though...

I contacted woot support about the issue and they took care of it.

My impression of Woot! was always high and now it is even higher. I never contacted them about my bad red light as I figured it would be too much trouble or cost to ship it back or replace it or whatever. Apparently they actually read my post above and without my asking sent me another one for free! It just arrived today and I haven't even tried it yet to see if it works, but honestly it could send out beams of snot instead of light and I'd still be as impressed with the level of customer service from Woot!

Love you guys and gals!

Got mine. Red light ran fine for the first couple times I ran them then it failed. The motor still turns but the red light no longer illuminates.

Contacted Woot and they immediately sent me out another set. Yay!

Plugged the second set in and ran the lights for about ten seconds then turned them off. Turned them on again and wouldn't you know it... the RED light on this second set died just like the first.

I REALLY like these but not with a dead red light. I contacted Woot again and asked if I could trade mine for a set that had been tested. They said they would see what they could do.

Seems like they have a bad batch of these. Hope they can get working replacements for us!

I just replaced the LEDs in one of my broken sets, and now they work great. It took me about 15 minutes to change them out. I replaced the red and blue LEDs with some bright white LEDs I had laying around the house. The red LED that comes in these is just weak. I checked the value on the resistors and they are fine. The red LEDs are just bad... I didn't have to replace the blue LED, but I wanted both sides to match so I did. If you don't have access to LEDs then it will cost you between $3 and $5 to fix them with RatShack parts. Plus you need to know how to solder or make this your time to learn.

Glad to read this isn't just me. I'll pick up a RS red LED and solder it in.

Cool. My red light is completely dim. It'd be too much work to ship this back, but this is disappointing.

Shoot off an email to service@woot.com. They can probably help you out.
