You should have contacted customer service. Everytime that I've seen it happen and they emailed CS they got another bag sent to them. Woot will take care of you.

Broke or working items are exactly that, carp. Why should they replace it since that is exactly what you are buying?

If you read further, he got one on the 26th... his mom got one on the 26th. His GF missed the one on the 26th. All three got an Adventure hernia.

Nothing wrong. 3 individual people ordered a bag this time... and the GF missed it doing it properly the last time.

Plus, with this one at least, you could only use a card once with it. My daughter tried with my card numbers and came back with an error saying it had already been used. I got a different card, and we typed in its information but got something wrong.

And I too see no problem with the person getting Woot Off hernia and Adventure hernia... Its just the luck of the internet.

Greedy? Nope. Each person was just going for one battalion of crabs when it was offered. My room mate and I both got the 26th and adventure fools crabs. I don't think we are greedy (well he is, bastards been usin' up my half of the room!).

Got my first epic adventure after many attempts and close calls!! I still remember last years April 1st epic adventure trickiness, was so close last year, got it this year! :D Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

In regarding making assumptions, true... there are some that abuse the loopholes, but not everyone. So unless they truly state they abused, I don't judge. :-)

It's interesting how people try to order this thing multiple times. They are never fair. They use robots to get it (gives the rest of us no chance at it), they try getting more than their fair share, etc. I'm so glad that the ones that were sleeping, hoping their dumb little gallivanting alpacas will do the work for them and get their epic adventure, woke up in the morning realizing that they got FOOLED!

I would love to think that when they see multiple orders coming in from the same IP for the same address from accounts that were created on the day before the sale they give extra "awesome" stuff.

Of course, then my questionably-reasonable self imagines 6 people screaming at each other in their shared living space as they try to figure out where the hell the epic adventure is in the Adventure. Only to receive 6 remote controlled cranes that fall apart in 2 seconds despite their seeming promise. It would be a shame if those people were judged against. So I guess it is just up to people to play nice.

I didn't try to order this multiple times...it was an woot mistake... i was speaking to the people who ordered once and got two confirmations and were charged twice..read the post

Here's a slightly modified version of the phases, after some suggestions. We are now firmly into phase 2.


The Phases of the Bag of Crap (according to DrGandalf):

Phase 1: The discussion of getting vs. not getting the Bag of Crap, with the usual reference to the cursed bots, Woot's horrible servers, and related.

Phase 2: The discussion of when will Woot finally ship the Bags, and did you get your tracking number, and the creation of the spreadsheet.

Phase 3: The discussion of how much the packages are predicted to weigh, how big they are, how Smartpost is sending them all around the country, and whether they are arriving early, late, or maybe never, and how to find out all the tracking information.

Phase 4: The revealing of the contents of the much awaited Bags of Crap, with much hooting and Wooting by those that are happy, some grumbling by those that are not, but with most folks happy that they got to play the game no matter what they got. Plus, the great hunt for The Letter!

I was stuck in the hospital during this time, as my three year old had pneumonia. Luckily I had my iPod Touch and there was a free wifi connection. I couldn't sleep with just a few minutes until midnight, and I was a little miffed I missed the epic adventure on my birthday (3/25). I still don't understand why the WootOff skipped my birthday... I was wondering if there'd be something for the April Fool's, so I waited around and checked.

I had this account created a while back, but wasn't 100% sure of the name, but was able to correctly guess which email and password I used (go me!) and logged in and, with mere minutes to spare, found the bag of cereal.

Of course, I then tried contacting my wife to explain HOW to get to the Book of hernia quickly, but to no avail. I called the house phone (hoping she'd hear it through the baby monitor - it was turned off), I called her cell phone (was in the other room) and I IM'ed her iPod (but it was sleeping) so she missed out.

Don't feel too bad for her, though. She won a Book of hernia on the 26th while I was at work (my work has a strict no internet policy, her work doesn't.)

I spent the whole rest of the day worried that the epic adventure at the end was the April Fool's joke, but to my great relief, it was just "Woot Your Own Adventure" that was the joke.

So I am really excited about the Adventure that is coming my way. My last bag was awesome, hell even the so called "hernia" was awesome. I love this. I can only hope for a Bucket of Adventure as awesome as my last one. If it's better you will probably find a video of me online somewhere jumping up and down extatically followed by a session of rolling around emphatically on the floor (can you do that, roll around on the floor "emphatically"). Anyway I'm pumped to say the least. ;)

After years of seeing "woot!" and "epic adventure" mentioned all over a website I visit every now and then, I took the plunge and decided to see what woot was all about. So I looked through old epic adventure threads and was all like why the heck haven't I joined in this awesomesauce before?

So I finally created an account a little over a week ago when there was a woot-off. It felt like I must've watched my computer screen in anticipation for an entire 24-hours straight. (Apparently, I have no life. Sigh.) But no epic adventure. Bummer. Then I missed it a couple days later by about 20 minutes. Oy.

But! I happened to be online at just the right time and scored one of these Adventure Carnages. Yee-freakin-haw!

I will say that my 10yo daughter thinks the idea that Mommy actually ordered a Box of Carp is the most hilarious thing in the world and is now quite possibly looking forward to seeing what sort of carp arrives more than I am, which is saying a lot.

And now my mom is all kinds of hooked on the idea after I told her about it and has created her own account, looking forward to the opportunity to order her own doodoo in the future, even though I warned her that it could technically just be a used plastic grocery bag and 3 batteries. She can't wait!

By the way, I'm assuming I did it correctly with the whole entering in of my info on the spreadsheet.

It seems that every year, Woot has these things on my birthday, and I miss out on them EVERY TIME because the server is hammered by the likes of people ordering 30 cabbages.

The roomie couldn't even get in on it last year.

This year, thanks to the Adventure That Swallowed the States, I had a chance to order some Birthday Adventure Carp.

It's up to Woot to make it not suck.
The fate of my birthday present to me is in their hands.

I would say you can expect the adventure hernia around the week of the 23rd of April. From all my previous epic adventure's (two of them), it seems they take an average of about 2 weeks to arrive. (Remember it takes 5 business days for Woot to ship these out, so assuming they ship it out on Thursday).
