Like you would be able to notice the difference... Even with interlaced 3d, it would result in 120hz per eye, which is still plenty fast enough to be smooth...

No it will not, but a couple companies sell HD converters for the Wii

If you are thinking about buying a HD tv or monitor, you should grab some. Those products do not usually come with an HDMI cable, and you will want one.

Nope, on most items you can buy multiples and only pay 1 charge of $5. That makes the deals even better!

Nope. According to wikipedia the only thing 1.4 gives you over a high speed 1.3 cable is the 100MBPS ethernet channel built in.

Does it even make a difference? I thought Wii content was relatively low definition anyway?

In for two, I've been wanting an hdmi cable for a while now and this seems like a great price for the quality.

Also, first woot.

So glad I saw this; tired of paying for overpriced HDMI cables that are shorter than this. Cannot wait to rewire some of my stuff that the cables are really too short. Bought three to maximize the shipping and have some extras around!

matt091988 wrote:All HDMI cables will provide the same quality of image. You have a digital signal traveling through the cable so the TV either gets it or it doesnt (no input). Only advantage to paying more for this sort of cables is impact/scratch resistance.

Buy the cheapest freaking cable, this one is pretty good, and enjoy.

I don't know about that. I had a problem with the audio not getting through to my TV (video yes, audio no) and complained to Verizon. They suggested replacing the cable between the set-top-box and the TV. I did that just to prove them wrong and it's been working fine now for a couple of months.

Crummy cables with crummy connectors CAN cause problems. However, since it's digital, it's going to either work great or not at all. Higher cost won't get you any improvement in signal quality.

I'm in for 3 at this price.

Woot! Now 100+ woots for me!
That's 87 woots (Including Twelve Bats On Crack!), 12 Sellout.woots, 8 wine.woots and 4 kids.woots, and finally, 2 shirt.woots!

Oh man, I just yesterday bought a 6' cable. For $2.60, and free shipping. Man do I feel silly.

At least I didn't buy a monster cable at best buy tho

Ive had some time to spend with these cables, I highly recommend them. They are much better than the generic cheapy HDMI cables I purchased off amazon awhile back, and the crumby rocketfish ones from Best Buy. Awesome Cables for an unbeatable price. Do yourself a favor and get one even if you do not need it, because you never know if your parents will try and score one off you or you need one at some point for a project.

That's not true. It can adjust the data transfer rate depending on conditions. The worse the cable is, the lower the bit rate will become because it needs to slow the transfer cycle down to compensate for the noise. A similar thing happens with ethernet, but it's because of error checking that forces packets to be resent rather than throttling the connection down. A higher quality cable/shorter cable will have a higher effective throughput than a lower quality cable...
